Very good traditional German food. The restaurant is located in the old town and has an outside sitting area. The service was very friendly and professional.

Not even that expensive of a plate for how tasty and filling it was (wish I remembered what it was called, it was some kind of joint from a pig)! Friendly service - had two waitstaff help me with my German - all of the employees were also dressed in traditional Bayern clothing. Vielen Dank!

Excellent place for a dinner with German dishes. We were strolling around town and ended up stopping here, while there is no printed menu in English, there is a QR in the menu for the translated version (Note: our server was getting the number associated with the dish but the translated version does not include these numbers, so we had to work with our server to find the right dish, she was super nice and helpful). One of the details that stood out for our family was the quality of service, in some other places it seemed lacking and slow but not here. We visited on Good Friday and this place was busy. Our food was fantastic and all our family was very happy and satisfied.

Cannot comment on quality of food as my friend and I only had a cup of hot chocolate each, as it was cold and wet this morning after our Tour. The staff seemed to be very busy and also friendly. However, the front desk Manager Sammy was a different story. He was rude and aggressive in his manner. Firstly, all I wanted to ask was- is it Table Service - but he waved me to sit down with a rude gesture! After we finished our drink, seeing that he had a laptop of some sort in front of him, I went up to him wanting to pay our bill- again he rudely gestured me to go back to my table. It’s very embarrassing to say the least. What a shame - the ambience was nice and the food must be good as we saw plenty of locals eating there for a Sunday buffet. Service was slow but perhaps it needs a bit more staff on a busy Sunday. I do think this Manager in question needs more training on how to be polite and courteous to his paying customers. I don’t think language barrier is the issue either, as a kind smile can say a 1000 words. Glad I didn’t order any food as I would have lost my appetite after the way he treated me. By the way, Speyer is beautiful and I won’t let this little nasty incident changed my view of it.

German restaurant with classic dishes. Tasty but a little pricey. Different from similar restaurants, side salad was not included. Beer was good. Reservation recommended. We were placed at a small high table in the walk way but happy to get a table at all. Later when the restaurant was less crowded, we were not offered to move but also did not ask. Restaurant is a safe choice when staying in Speyer.

The girl that receives people in the entrance was super nice, we needed a birthday cake with a candle and she brought it to us. Amazing service!

Food 5⭐️ Service 5⭐️ Waiting time 😓 was quite a bit for 3 main courses (40 mins) but overall we are still satisfied. Main course we had: • Allgäuer Käsespatzen • Grill Teller • Schnitzel with Bolognese Sauce

Nice brewery style eatery with a menu that is not too big but has something for everybody. Obviously a good selection of beers too. Speedy service and right in the centre of Speyer.

Food was good and solid, but the service was pretty slow. One plate was late because they burnt it, which wouldn’t be much of a problem because they apologized. Having to wait 15-20 minutes, however, just to catch someone to be able to pay and leave, is pretty absurd. I would come again for the food, but they should hire more people. Expect to wait a bit if the place fills up. Really didn’t know what to rate it, either 3 or 4 stars.

The place has rude staff. My father in law tried to ask about taking a photo of a staff member and was treated rudely as if he’d asked something horrible. We tried to speak basic German and the staff acted like we were speaking Chinese.

Arrived at 8.30pm for a table outside, took ages to get menus… by 9.05pm the waiter suddenly arrived and said the kitchen was closed (not just to us but some other people who had arrived around the same time as us). We hadn’t even ordered drinks by then - just wasted half an hour for nothing. Awful service - pity as it looked really nice… but their loss as we went next door and had a fab meal there instead!

In our few days in Speyer this became our 'go to' place. The service from all the staff was very good indeed, the food was good, there was enormous quantities of it coming from the kitchens, tables were always cleared and cleaned swiftly, we never had to wait long for service, food or drink. This is a very good business.
