Mega location right on the water! Food super delicious: 5 stars for the chefs! The service is friendly but needs improvement at this price range.

Good and fresh food. Service also OK. The bar is great. Have been there several times. But the prices are just as juicy as the steaks :-)

We were there to celebrate Silvester (NYE) and experienced nothing but great service, thoughtfully prepared food, excellent value, and a wonderful time. Highly recommend!

Let me start by saying that the location is very well put together. The interior is very pretty and the staff is kind and very friendly. 🙂✌️ Despite that, I would not recommend going. We were here for brunch, which cost 60€ per person. For two people this already means 120€ just for food. And considering this is brunch, not even the coffee is included in the price. On top of that, one glass of “day”-wine cost us 9€. This means for two people you will pay 30€ on top for coffee and 1 (!) glass of wine each. Now this alone is not unusual for Frankfurt, but for a brunch experience that all in all costs 150€, the food was extremely poor. It was a combination of buffet and prepared dishes, which to be completely honest, were both just alright. Although the dishes looked very nice, they were carelessly put together. The Arancini had almost no taste, the fried Couscous was tough and all dishes had the same sides! For 120€ you would expect otherwise! To me personally the sides did not make great sense either. The arancini was served with a mango chutney that did not compliment the rest of the veggies and the fried goat cheese, which had the same veggie sides was served with an addition of BBQ-sauce, which really confuses the entire dish. Tastes are different, yes, but to me it seemed like there was absolutely no concept behind this and in combination it didn’t match well. I’m very surprised by a lot of good reviews and I was very excited to go, but unfortunately, I cannot share the good experience. For what it is, this place is way way way too expensive. 😔

Gluten-free, Offenbach, Schiff.....Backschaft! The brunch was great. Gluten-free bread, hearty polenta cookies and buckwheat vegetables. The boss knows his stuff. Everything fresh and everything delicious. Very attentive service and nice atmosphere.

The Backschaft is a ship - a special event location located directly at the large parking lot on the Main in Offenbach. It's worth taking a look at the website and the program. Very cozy interior, great ambience with an open kitchen and a cozy bar for later in the evening. We took part in the dinner cruise. The portions were plentiful and very well balanced. The staff, of course, friendly and very accommodating. A very personal atmosphere! A very special place for a beautiful occasion.

As an event photographer, I travel a lot and the background is familiar. Yesterday I had the pleasure of photographing a top event for a company and also enjoying the food and service. The food is high quality, well prepared, tasty and the team of chefs put their heart and soul into it. Everyone knows what it means when a company is fed. This is about speed, convenience and good service. Everything is there, the atmosphere on the ship is very nice. Definitely special - thanks for the good cuisine and the beautiful ambience.

Great restaurant ship with harmonious maritime furnishings. It's worth a visit! Nowadays there are more events (as of 2023).

The staff, food and service were excellent, but the temperature was so high - over 40 degrees inside the boat; the staff was all sweating while working. We weren't allowed to have dinner outside as they told us it's forbidden while the boat is cruising so we stayed inside. The windows were dirty and did not open as the staff told us it's an old boat. The amount of money we paid was incredible and can't put it here, but the experience was totally wrong. We found out they didn't want to pay the staff so we can have dinner outside (they need to hire some special staff for that). So maybe it's a good experience during autumn or early spring, but don't go there if it's hot outside as it's like a sauna.

Very nice place! It is a real boat floating in River Main! I tasted a beer and just a soup! It was fantastic experience! Despite simple food, very tasty! Done with care and a lot of flavor and passion! Very nice environment, good music and bathrooms are very clean! Fully recommended!
