I'm
confused
by
the
reviews
here
saying
that
this
is
an
authentic
Japanese
restaurant.
There's
nothing
authentic
about
serving
Thai
curry
with
Japanese
"tonkatsu"
made
from
chicken
(note
to
owner:
Tonkatsu
in
Japanese
literally
means
pork
cutlet!!
It's
not
a
ausländischen
term
for
Schnitzel!
If
you
are
offering
fried
chicken
cutlet
please
don't
call
it
tonkatsu,
it's
very
confusing).
The
rice
portion
was
too
small,
and
I
guess
the
kitchen
staff
left
it
outside
for
too
long
because
some
of
the
rice
grains
were
VERY
hard.
The
"gyozas"
are
not
really
gyozas
either,
they
are
a
strange
version
of
the
chinese
xiao
long
bao.
The
food
overall
was
quite
palatable
despite
the
awkward
cultural
appropriation.
I
understand
the
idea
behind
it
wanting
to
be
a
"fusion"
restaurant
but
misusing
food
terms
is
not
cool.
Just
to
illustrate
my
point,
imagine
ordering
Apfelwein
but
getting
Pear
cider
instead
--
that's
awkward.
Also,
to
an
actual
Asian,
not
having
good
rice
is
really
a
bummer.
