A popular eatery in Oistins, Barbados for locals and tourists. Pat's Place is a well known fish fry with an assortment fresh seafood and sides. They also serve big portions so it is highly recommended to visit with an empty stomach. Our meal was very satisfying as their fish was well seasoned and fresh. The macaroni side and salad was a perfect compliment. And their prices was quite cheap, especially with the huge portions. Please note, service is a little confusing since the person taking orders will ask you to pay someone else within the eatery. To help avoid confusion, ask them to direct you to that individual. It will prevent any delays. If you want to avoid huge crowds and lengthy wait times, I'd highly recommend a visit during the daytime or weeknights. During the weekends, parking can be hard to find and the area is congested with a lot of people. Overall, if you're a first time visitor to Barbados or a local, Pat's Place is a good choice for grilled seafood. They offer quality seafood, side dishes and huge servings at a great value. Highly recommended!

Excellent fish in big portions. I couldn’t finish it - but I did. The grilled dolphin was really good. Good spot in Oistins. Good prices too.

My husband and I walked to Pats Place in Barbados because he was craving flying fish we finally decided to walk there because we wanted to enjoy the scenic of barbados it took us 45 min but there are buses that will take you there if you don’t want to walk , I must say what a beautiful place to be . When we arrived, there was a line of customers and we hopped in that line just smelling the food grilling and the aroma of the different fish cooking. because it was outside , YOU must go and taste all the goodness of the flying fish and macaroni pie is what they call it but for us it’s baked Mac and cheese and French fries and cole slaw You will not regret it.

Wonderful food and great vibes. I had the dolphin, rice and peas and coleslaw which was absolutely divine. Staff were friendly and the taste of the grilled fish was perfect. My partner had Mac pie as a side which was delicious and especially tasty considering I’m not usually a fan of Mac and cheese! Worth visiting if you’re in Oistins! I would 100% come back here!

Amazing food, efficient staff, and cool local experience. The mahi-Mahi ("dolphin") is cooked on a BBQ and I'd highly recommend it! Macaroni pie is a classic and the coleslaw was sweet and delicious too.

This place had cues going down the street. The only one in Oistins with long cues might I add. So straight away we knew we were in for a treat! The portion size was incredible, the fish was cooked fresh in front of you and the taste was delicious. Went back multiple times to try different dishes. All just as good. I believe the tuna was a fan fave. Every time I go Barbados I’ll be going back to Pats and you should too!

As you walk around the market here, you are going to be swarmed by people giving you samples and asking you to sit down at their restaurants. Amongst the crowd if you really observe, you will see that Pat's, Mo's, and Eddie's would have a line up of local Barbadians. Their Fried fish is good but their grilled fish is even better (forgot to take pic). They bbq outside and you can tell they have marinated for a long time. I'd recommend for the sides to get the roasted potatoes, breadfruit (if you into it), plantains (if available).

The customer service was horrible , the staff was very rude and obnoxious. The wait time was about 1 hr on the line to place my order and another hr to get my food .We were given our fries and salads and then had to wait on another line for the fish to be ready ,but the wait was so long for the fish the fries were cold when we finally got it.The fish was over cooked and extra dried out.The staff needs to brush up on their customer service skills.I wouldn’t recommend anyone to go here especially for a first time experience in Oistins .

Pat's place is hands down phenomenal. The portions are extremely generous. I usually have enough for a second meal. The service is like a well oiled machine - extremely organized. There may be a line to order, but it's so worth the wait. The cook is the master of his grill. Stacy and team are wonderful. There's lots of tables to sit down to eat in front of their stall. Pat's is a must in Oistins.

Wow. What a meal!!!! And wow. What a process to get our meals. You have to follow how the locals order and get their food because no one will tell you that the food in front of you is actually yours. Visiting the Oistins nighttime fish fry has been the best food experience during our stay in Barbados Nov 2022. Pat's Place really lived up to its reputation and reviews. Our food was fresh and so delicious. We had the Kingfish and the Swordfish.

It's an odd system. Place your order. Place your food by the bbq chef, go and pay Pat, whilst your fish is being cooked but other food getting cold. That said, food was tasty, just can't understand why the place is so popular compared to others.

Great food for a very good price. It's always good when you see the locals eating in the same place. Super chilled vibe with a safe atmosphere.

We had food from Pat’s Place as part of visiting Oistins fish market on Friday night. We decided to eat from here due to seeing the very long popular queue, staff members made sure we were hydrated whilst waiting to get severed. My wife went for the shrimp & I went for the swordfish, both which were tasty packed with flavour.

Amazing food but they forgot my Marilyn with my order. Go for the Marilyn and Chips. If you're British 🇬🇧, I guarantee you its the best fish and chips you'll ever taste.

Really good fish! Freshly made coleslaw. Like a few other places, they need to cook their fries a little longer - and they should serve the fries AFTER the fish is cooked, as they get cold while you're watching your fish getting cooked. If they get the fries right, I'll give them one more star. If I go again, I will get the potato, as that looked really good. If you're a fish fan, I highly recommend this place. The portions were more than generous - And you don't have to wait for Friday night. Go when it's not busy!

Very good food and the queue whilst long os fairly quick compared to some of the other places in the fish market. They open on other days so worth going on any other night if you find the queue too much on a Friday

I loved it ❤️😍😍 the mahi mahi was to die for… I was told how good it was prior to coming here… they lived up to the hype

Went for fish fry on Saturday night. Would’ve gone Friday but the pouring rain put us off. I had the mahi mahi with macaroni pie and chips. Little spicy but it was a very nice spice and flavour. 5 stars for food and the atmosphere and the total chill vibe to the whole evening. When I come back to Barbados. It definitely be on Friday. Hoping for some lobster on the menu

Let me get right to the point. While my fish dinners were excellent the two nights I visited, the same does not apply to bad customer service, not only for myself but also for other visitors. The female person taking orders was rude, impatient and just utterly abhorrent. She was literally yelling at guests. It was simply disgusting to see and experience such disrespect towards customers, who are not familiar with their rather and sometimes chaotic system. The experience was the same on both nights so her behaviour appears to be the norm. That was definitely not what I expected from a real Bajan experience.

If there’s a line, that’s a telltale sign… We weren’t sure where to eat but this was the only place with a line of customers…so, we got in line 🤷🏾‍♀️ The Marlin was very flavorful 😋

Both women here were polite, helpful, patient. Answered my question even when it wasn't specifically about there business. Maintained great conversation and made recommendations.Their kindness enticed me to try their food and might I say I did not regret it. Flying fish ,macaroni pie, and salad. Great portion sizes and gave me the itis. Definitely will return before leaving. Thank you for Everything.

The best place to go in oistins not only is it very reasonable value for money the food is superb and the fish is cooked right infront of you while you wait, the spice that goes over the fish is second to none and really brings out the taste of the fish from kingfish to swordfish and much more with coleslaw and salad, chips or rice and peas as just some of the extras available the portions are huge and a lovely atmosphere I would highly recommend this place if you are venturing out to eat in oistins!!!

The food is excellent and the portions are plenty big enough for a very hungry person. The Macaroni pie is really good with a little bit of spice but not too hot. I had the King fish and they grilled it while I waited. Very fresh and the marinade is perfect.

If you find yourself on Barbados on a Friday night you would be crazy if you’re not in Oistins at the Fish Fry. We had read before we left that Pat’s Place was the place to be so sadly for all the other vendors we headed straight there. We arrived and were seated right away but huge lines started to form all over the place shorty after that. The Fish Fry consists of a bunch a small stalls serving up food and they are all vying for your attention. The word has clearly gotten out about Pat’s Place – they were by far the busiest of the bunch. We ordered the Mahi Mahi, Coleslaw, Fries, Macaroni Salad. Macaroni Pie, Chicken, & Green Salad. The Mahi Mahi was outstanding! The Coleslaw was awesome and left me wanting more – small side portion alert! Fries were great Macaroni Salad was also another standout – wish we got more of that as well Macaroni Pie, Chicken & Green Salad were just ok – I guess the salad may have been better if they served it with dressing but it was just lettuce and we asked for dressing but never received it. Based on my experience don’t plan on being waited on with too much care – they get busy and forget about you. So ask for everything up front. Hint: there is plenty of parking directly across the street – take the road back and it leads to a big open lot and it’s free! You’ll see a guy selling pastries just to the left of the road that goes back. I also recommend you get some of his goods – they are very good – we tried the raspberry pastry & chocolate cake and both were very good!

Not too busy on a Monday so that was a bonus. Great value! The kingfish was delicious. I had the shrimp which was prepared in an amazing sauce. The plantians were scrumptious!
