A
thing
of
its
own,
-
not
quite
high
cuisine
and
definitely
not
an
easy
dinner,
-
with
impeccable
service,
skill,
and
presentation.
For
a
while
I
was
debating
whether
I
should
put
5
stars
review
out.
Not
because
it
was
bad,
it
wasn’t,
but
rather
because
I
was
confused
to
what
category
I
should
consider
this
place
for...
Should
I
come
here
if
I’m
in
Tokyo?
On
your
first
visit
-
No.
I
don’t
see
why.
If
you
live
here
-
ah
yes,
why
not.
Does
it
look
cool/cute/insta-worthy?
It
is
a
tiny
hipsters
looking
joint
with
a
counter
sitting
strongly
reminiscent
of
the
general
Shimo-Kita
“trying
to
be
alternative”
vibe.
Imagine
this
is
not
the
space
you’d
bring
your
parents
too,
but
a
quirky
friend
-
oh
sure.
How’s
the
atmosphere?
Despite
the
outside
quirkiness,
somehow
inside
the
lighting
manages
to
make
things
pretty
intimate
and
romantic.
Is
the
food
fusion
style?
No,
it’s
just
good
food.
Keep
in
mind
that
this
is
also
a
health
oriented
place,
so
many
of
the
dishes
will
either
be
entirely
vegetarian
or
will
have
that
perfectly
easy
light
taste,
which
goes
so
well
with
Japan
summer,
but
might
not
slide
with
smb.
keen
on
their
meats.
Is
it
a
high
cuisine?
Yes
and
no.
Dishes
are
beautiful,
carefully
crafted,
but
portion
wise
more
than
substantial
and
hearty.
How
are
the
drinks?
Great
one
by
one
and
confusing
as
a
pairing
experience.
Truly
mysterious
scheme
which
incorporates
beer,
cider,
sake,
cocktails,
wine,
and
basically
every
other
drink
in
the
universe.
Kaleidoscope
of
tastes
which
personally
is
way
too
much
to
digest
for
a
single
dinner.
But
hey,
they
have
things
that
are
nowhere
to
be
found
in
Japan!
So
one
shall
endure.
...as
you
see,
confusing.
But
they
basically
say
that
upfront,
so
nothing
to
complain
about.
Was
fun
regardless!
