OMG we ordered for the first time from this....... I don't really even think you can call it a restaurant and we ignored the negative comments focusing on the positive ones. What a huge mistake. In my 60 years on this Earth I have had a lot of bad Chinese food but nothing, I repeat nothing compares to the absolute disgusting food this restaurant is serving. If you choose like we did to listen to the good reviews then you will only have yourself to blame as we do now because take heed and stay away from this restaurant the food is atrociously, horrendously terrible. It is difficult to even describe how bad this food is. Even after we added our own sauces to everything it still was so overpowered by flour and soggy noodles and a taste that is even hard to describe. The worst mall food that has been sitting for 8 hours I would rather eat than order from this restaurant again.

Unfortunately it was a bust going here. The house fried rice was very bland and very light on meat, I could easily make something better for cheaper with my limited fried rice knowledge. Also had a curry fried rice, which was ok but tasted artificial and old, and personally would call it curry with plain rice. For $35, I would spend my money elsewhere.

Have say 60.00 woth of food and it was terrible i will not be going back it was just slop

Just for myself. Huge order, yet when broken down into meals the cost was less then 10 dollars each meal.

Really disappointing. First time ordering from here and definitely the last. The chicken chow mein was super bland, no taste at all. The sweet & sour pork didn't have have enough "sweet" or enough "sour" in the batter. Also the batter was really soft and mushy. It tasted like something my mother made at home not an authentic Chinese cuisine. And to complete my order, the beef chop suey came about half filled in the to go package when anywhere else you order from the portion is full to the top of the to go container. Not impressed at all! $30 for the 3 dishes and I ended up giving it away to a homeless man. I hope that something good could come out of the experience by being able to feed the less fortunate. I hope it was a good dead??

Take out dinner! Why not! Good food and super fast pick service available especially just before closing. Wonton soup was good as well as the chicken Chow Mein. Crispy Shrimp was very tasty and crisp we had some sweet chilly pepper sauce at home to dip it in which was great. Good prices and quality.

Picked up a combo for 1 and was the worst Chinese food I’ve ever tried!!! Highly recommended eating elsewhere.

I would give 0 stars if I could. The vegetables were slimy and did not taste fresh. The sweet and sour pork smelt rotten and had a funny after taste. When we called to politely mention our experience the lady on the phone said she hasn’t had a complaint in 40 years 😳 she did not offer a replacement or refund or anything, biggest waste of $50! We will never order here again!

Great take out! They have some unique and tasty variations that we really enjoy and the wait time is usually quite accurate. The staff are very friendly! This restaurant is a hidden gem!

The food is great and very flavorful. I would say that the lunch special is the best deal in Kelowna and they really load your plate. You can't go wrong eating here,. The food is greati, the price is reasonable considering the large portions and the service is friendly. Try it....you will like it and you will be back. Currently they are not allowing dinning in, due to staffing shortage, but the food hasn't changed.

GO HERE!! Fantastic food and service! Even what I would consider "authentic" fortune cookies, none of that brand name stuff that comes bagged retail. Love it, I will most definitely be back for more! Was sad to see the place empty inside due to a staffing shortage...I'd totally dine in!

4.8! Coming from the south, the Orient Restaurant has one of Kelowna's most 'seasoned' house special fried rice dishes we've had since moving here. Something about comfort food 🥰 We ate it (inhaled while standing) straight out of the box!!! The left overs will be even better tomorrow! The prices are reasonable and the food was delightfully enjoyable!!! LOTS OF FOOD in the fried platter!!! Grab take out and eat it in the park 😊 photos are leftovers! ***sneaks away to hide left overs in hummus bowl that the rest of the house avoides!!!😜***

Takeout always ready on time, have tried a huge selection of their food over several takeouts and every item is always excellent! Highly recommended!

Ordered a combo for four. Fried rice was burnt and greasy. Rest of combo just not tasty. Good location and well decorated inside. Sorry , you need a new cook. .

It was the first time we have been to The Orient since before covid. It was excellent then and did not disappoint today. There was a staff shortage but the owner did an amazing job. I highly recommend!!

Food was great before they stopped dining in,now only pickup and it's loaded with MSG.
