We stopped there to pass some time between getting off the Ebus and our ride onwards. Just expected to get a nice snack and somewhere to sit. Well we got an excellent meal with incredibly friendly and attentive service. The food was delicious (best Ruben my fiance has ever had) and the portions were huge! We got what we paid for in quality and quantity. The woman who took our order was super friendly, our waitress checked on us frequently. The open concept allowed us to say hello to the cooks, they were also very friendly. The washrooms were large and clean, the decor in the restaurant was rustic but not dingy looking. Everything was clean and pleasant, the ac was at the perfect setting to be comfortable but not cold. We will absolutely go again.

Stopped in for lunch to start our golf trip and what a treat it was. All the staff were genuine, caring, and friendly. The food was a highlight and I had the pleasure of having the best perogies in my life here. Everything was made fresh to order and had generous portions. This is a wonderful local hotspot and I can't say enough good things.

Visited from Vancouver and EVERYTHING we had here was absolutely delicious. We had the bacon cheese burger, cheese steak sandwich, hobo soup, cheesy broccoli & cauliflower soup, creamy bacon soup, & beet borscht soup. The bacon cheese burger had the juiciest & meatiest patty coupled with the freshest vegetables, each bite was better than the previous and we couldn’t have enough. Next we had the cheese steak sandwich that had a generous about of both steak and cheese, together with the softest n tastiest bread we’ve ever eaten just blew us away. All 4 soups we had were so well balanced and delicious that we decided will be back just before driving back to vancouver to buy lots home to freeze. Try as many soups as you can here because it is truly amazing. We don’t even usually enjoy beetroot but we LOVED the beetroot soup here so much. Not only will the promise of the quality of food blow you away, their service too is top notch and we couldn’t recommend this place more. You will not regret visiting this diner. EDIT: We came back again for our 2nd and last day in kelowna. This time we had the southwest burger, mushroom soup & 2 other soups. We also bought their frozen soups and meals to bring back to vancouver! The southwest burger was SUPERB. There were these caramelized onions that paired SO WELL with the juicy meaty patty. All the soups were nothing short of delicious and exceptional too. So good we wish we could eat here everyday. Crystal and her husband were such sweethearts. The overall vibe in this restaurant is super cozy and homely, and everyone working there felt like they were all part of a family. We talked to Crystal, her husband, Kathy, & the nicest lady that moved from Vancouver island and they were all so friendly! They also communicated and treated each other like a big family which we thought was a great work culture and made us want to spend more time here! Thank you for being the “Cherry on top” of our Kelowna trip! You all are amazing and we can’t wait to be back in summer/fall!

First off, the customer service in this joint is off the charts. Everyone is friendly, down to earth, and there to help you. Great casual diner chats and a good sign to see regulars doing their thing. The food was amazing as well -I had the Reuben and a soup I can't recall the name of. The sandwich was perfect and one of the best I ever had. It's really the simplicity and perfecting it that makes it great. The bread was well buttered and absolutely perfectly toasted. Crisp and chewy. The meat was juicy and the sauerkraut not overpowering. The soup was delicious and hearty. Definitely coming back before I leave to get another sandwich!

I went with a group while visiting Kelowna and I was the only vegan. I looked at the menu and saw there was nothing vegan, so I went to the counter to ask. The woman at the counter (I wish I got her name!) was so kind and accommodating! She had made a homemade vegan "egg" salad out of tofu and black salt and made me a special sandwich. It was delicious. While I was eating, she brought me another sandwich to try out some homemade vegan deli meat she had made (also tofu)! I've never liked any vegan deli meats I've bought at the grocery store, but this was amazing! I really hope they add these items to the menu! Everyone loved their food, portions were large, and staff was very friendly. Highly recommend!

My only complaint is that they're not open everyday! Lovely couple behind the business. The lunch special was so good (applewood smoked pulled pork). Hobo soup was just right.

Honestly, I cannot say enough great things about this place. The service and hospitality are out of this world and the food is next level. We had the Cheese Steak and the balance of tender meat, sauce and cheese was absolute perfection. Considering inflation and pricing, I wish the portion size was a bit bigger for the price but sometimes that's not always possible especially in today's market. Regardless, I'm still giving this place 5 stars. My wife and I will DEFINITELY be back next time we're visiting. Highly recommend.

Nice atmosphere, my sandwich was Ok very bland nothing to write home about, had a roast beef and cheddar. The poor rating comes from my partner she is very pregnant and ordered a turkey and cheddar with mustard, we gave what we figure is a substantial tip on a 20 dollar bill. We got home to discover no cheddar and mustard on the sandwich, on a normal day whatever but on a pregnancy craving day this was to much. Next time try to get the ingredients right especially if one of those ingredients is in the name of the sandwich.

Delicious, hearty, and comforting food. Krystal is a delight to talk to and is so kind. They truly care about the people and serving good quality food here. Sandwiches are generous and filling, chili was on the sweeter side of my liking, but very well seasoned and spiced. Will be coming back to try more special sandwiches!

Absolutely delicious sandwich shop. They were extremely friendly and gave great suggestions as it was our first time. Subs were made quite promptly and you could tell the kitchen worked well together. Extremely filling meal for the price, very happy with the lunch choice here. Recommend for a quick stop on the go or sit down too. A+

The food was spectacular. Perfectly made not too salty and delicious. I had the taco salad. I expected the edible bowl to be a little greasy, but it was light and crispy good. My husband got the cheddar mushroom burger with Hobo soup. It was a HUGE burger patty but cooked well without losing the juices. The Hobo soup is a beef veggie soup but if you want a hug in a bowl, you've found it. What impressed me the most was how attentive the staff are to their guests, no matter how busy the cafe got. It was nice to see them work so well together. Also when people come in and get greeted by name, well, you know that it's a great place to be. Wish I could give them more stars than 5. Keep up the great work you guys!

I don't know if I would say that the food is amazing here, I personally find it a bit overrated. But the service is fantastic and I did really enjoy the burger patties. Overall, I would recommend simply for the novality of the place because the atmosphere is quite interesting.

This place offers the best service you will ever see. The food was great as well and the prices were reasonable. They even offered my kids a free soup and brought ice so that we could cool the soup down! Now that is above and beyond.

We had a fantastic experience at Little Hobo. The man at the counter very kindly walked us through the menu and helped us make our decisions. The woman in the kitchen offered us free soup samples which were delicious. The breakfast sandwich on rye surpassed my expectations. The doukhobor borscht was also excellent. Highly recommend this shop to anyone!

We googled a lunch place for a quick lunch. This place got a 4.9 star and we thought we would give it a try. First impression, very super friendly stuff and left like very comfortable and like a neighborhood. And the food were amazing. We ordered a breakfast sandwich and tuna melt sandwich. They were both so delicious and amazing. We also ordered the Hopo Soup. Love it. DING DONG on the hopo soup. Tomato based with lots of vegetables and hamburgers meats. Just felt like home soup. Amazing place, delicious food and super friendly staff. It was very simple and quick. Highly recommended. Definitely must try places.

Fantastic, homestyle eatery. All of the staff are very friendly and attentive. I have been here several times and have been impressed by everything that I have had thus far. It's absolutely unfair to other restaurants how good this place is. You can tell they care about what they're cooking. Everything is seasoned and prepared very well, with generous portions. A simple menu, but you will be happy with anything you order. I got this breakfast club sandwich and fries. Was NOT expecting this absolutely perfectly cooked fried egg in the middle. Wow. Wow. Wow. I'm still full and I ate there 9 hours ago. Will definitely keep coming back and spread the word to anyone that needs a good place for lunch.

I'm not typically a sandwich person but this is the place to be. The burger combo with soup was incredible. Patty was very well seasoned and the burger was very tasty. Can't wait to go back.

Seem like the popular items run out by the end of the day so go early to get what you want. Even if it's out, whatever you replace it with, will be delicious anyways!

Agree with the reviewer who said it’s the soup and sandwich shop we all need in our lives. Friendly, efficient staff, delicious soups and sandwiches in an old school, comfortable space. Great value too! Fortunately they also sell frozen soups to take home, which we will buy next time we’re there.

Right when you walk in the husband and wife Combo customer service was top notch. Gets to know the customers. First time for me and husband recommended the cheese steak 5 times and let me tell you. It did not disappoint. Bun, cheese, warm and the most tender beef ever. Got the club house as well and it was delish. Can't wait to come back to this GEM!!! Amazing! Amazing! Amazing! Excellent food and service! We stopped on our way through town with our 1 year old and they were so friendly. They gave our little guy a free bowl soup and cookie!! So sweet. The soup, sandwich and fries were so tasty. They use fresh chicken and turkey in their sandwiches.

This place has the best homemade food in all of Kelowna. Simple but satisfying. The food is just the beginning, the staff is so friendly and accommodating. They didn’t make a fuss when my daughter spilled her drink. They even gave my dad sample soups to try just because he mentioned he was craving soup. Food and staff are top notch. It is a must try; it will not disappoint.

Absolutely a gem in Kelowna. Crystal is such a lovely lady. The whole staff works hard. First time here after monitoring eateries that have gluten free bread for my partner. The perogies were to die for. So delicious that I was so full past dinner time that I had to eat a light dinner cuz I really wasn't hungry. This woman works hard people! Thanks for your hospitality.
