Wife and I always been in the area but never ate here, we should’ve sooner. Was greeted and seated promptly. Our waitress was quick to come to take our drinks orders. Wife tried the stairway to Heaven; taste like pineapple juice and was pleasing. We shared the chicken fried steak dinner served with real mashed potatoes, creamy white gravy and fresh green beans with red onions and bacon. The chicken fried steak batter had a spicy kick to it which was a pleasant surprise on the palate but not overwhelming. Green beans was fresh, prepared well, overall it was a great choice for us and we will be back.

Came in to pick up an order not started on, customer comes in trying to dine in and was turned away being told their kitchen is closed. Wait time was 15 min plus enough to write this review. Kitchen staff just walking back and forth back there, very confusing and frustrating experience. One of the staff members Danny was highly rude, said the customer can pick it up if they need to. She also appears to be the manager as she is getting other complaints here. Cook actually comes out to eat his own meal before finishing mine. Lol

Been here multiple times and used to love it. But this most recent vist under the new management left me not wanting to come again. The vibe was just off. There wasn't any music only noise of the customers. The waiter didn't even know what drinks were being served and the food was pretty basic.

HALAL! The whole menu is Halal. The chicken is as amazing as always! Everyone needs to hit this spot. It’s great food and great place. I would definitely recommend 10/10. The chicken is so juicy and tender. You don’t have to go out of the city to have the best fried chicken.

Used to love this place. I noticed as soon as I walked in that it was empty. Wasn't sure of the reasoning. Then we got our food. Sides were cold, my sons chicken fried steak was over cooked like beef jerky. Terribly disappointing. We won't be back, sadly.

Big sigh. We (2 people) went in for our lunch hour and there was only one other person there for a sit down lunch; everyone else came in for to-go orders. We were immediately seated and got waters that were never refilled. We ordered fried mushrooms for an app and they came out fairly quickly- they did not taste good and seemed expired (we didn't finish them and were going to send them back) After our mushrooms were brought to the table we did not have anyone check in with us for the remainder of the time we were there (about forty-five minutes). Both of us ordered 8 piece wings; one tossed and the other with sauce on the side (there is a 50 cent up charged if you want your wings tossed) we never got them and never had the opportunity to tell them we needed them now to go. We paid in cash for the mushrooms and left. I took the lunch break to basically hang out there but return hungrier than I left.

It was pleasant, very nice staff. Food was average, not any originality or personalization, some fun decorating, especially the Drum lamps. I thought it was called the Drum Room because of chicken Drum sticks hahaha

I ordered two meals from the Drum Room (Carry out), and it will definitely be the last time I visit this place. I was notified my order was ready and arrived at the bar for pickup. I sat there for an additional 30 minutes waiting for my food to be brought to me. People who came in to eat 5 minutes after I arrived and ordered the same thing I did were sitting and eating while I was still sitting there. I was finally given my order. Once I arrived home I saw that the nachos were missing the salsa and the guacamole I added, in addition the chicken fried steak was missing all its gravy. I drove back up and spoke with the bar again. The waitress proceeded to have an argument with the kitchen before bringing me some gravy and salsa and telling me they were out of guacamole. 10 seconds after being told they were out, she hands me some guacamole, telling me they must have made some fresh. It’s so dark in the place you can’t really see anything you’re being handed. I took everything home, thinking everything is all set. The guacamole was rotten…not just a little color tinged but black and black liquid and chunks floating in it. The chicken was way overcooked and dry I couldn’t cut it let alone eat it. The mashed potatoes were dry and not good at all. The chicken with the waffles was also overcooked. The chicken on the nachos was also overcooked and dry. I tried calling the restaurant several times with no answer and left a voicemail asking that management contact me back. No one ever returned my call. This was definitely not a $60 meal. $60 is a lot to pay for chicken fried chicken, chicken and waffles, and nachos but to spend that and get dry, overcooked , and rotten food is crazy. Mistakes happen but for there to be this many and no contact from management to make it right means this isn’t an exception…it’s the norm. STAY AWAY, YOU’VE BEEN WARNED!

Went here to celebrate a Birthday. The chicken was so dry the okra wasn’t completely cooked. But the food was burnt. Just wasn’t what we was used to when coming here. We had hair on the sauce containers. The restaurant smelled like cigarette smoke. The waiter did do everything she could to fix the issues and did the best she could do. But overall our experience this go around was a major let down. Especially when the experience and the hype was give to new visitors that tagged along with us and it was a let down.

For all the hype this place gets.... it was a solid okay. I got the chicken and waffles.. and it was fine. Nothing I would return for. They serve full birds, half birds, tenders, etc, but again... nothing remarkable. Also the night I went the service was absolutely awful, our waitress was on her phone most of the night and also left our drinks empty for most of the time as well. I like that it's locally owned but honestly this isn't a place I will return to unless my friend group had already picked it out.

The chicken wasn't horrible but the burger was dry and over cooked. The fries were cold and bland. Seems like they are on their way out.

I went with a friend on a Sunday afternoon. We expected the food would be great being that the area there on Western is pretty popular. I ordered the chicken and waffle and my friend had a burger. The price we paid wasn't terrible but the food and service didn't warrant a tip for what we received. The food wasn't any better than what you'd get going through a fast food drive thru. My waffle was pretty crunchy and my friend's burger was missing half of the toppings he asked for. If you're expecting something fulfilling then maybe go to a place you already know is going to be worth it. This place wasn't absolutely terrible but we both decided we probably wouldn't go back. They do have a bar so if you get drunk before you eat you might enjoy it!

Really good food. Came in at 1:00 on a Monday. Only one waitress working the entire dining room/bar but she was doing an excellent job keeping up with the customers. My boyfriend and I had never been here so she was very helpful answering our questions about the menu and the specials. She made sure our drinks were refilled and our food came out quickly. The chicken fried chicken was excellent. Overall great experience - we will be back! Edit: the waitresses name was Candace. She was amazing!

This place always treats us right. The food can take a while to come out and it's always sizzling hot, so be sure to add in some time for your order to arrive and cool down. Overall a great little spot. Go early if you want to find an easy parking spot.

This place literally has the best fried chicken I’ve tried at a restaurant. Me and my wife were able to share the whole chicken with okra and fries. There okra is huge and delicious! I would recommend this place to anyone, unless you want a drink, for some reason they do not have their liquor license right now. I will be getting the chicken fried chicken next time with a half chicken to go. They were also kind enough to allow coupons from their previous owner, which goes a long ways in showing that you care for your customers. Keep up the good work guys and gals!

We tried to go to a nearby restaurant but the karaoke was too loud to carry a conversation. So we walked to the Drumroom. There was one other table seated so it was perfect for visiting with our having to yell. Our table had the burgers, chicken tenders, fried chicken, Okra, waffles and mashed potatoes. The burgers did not have bacon when we pointed it out we were told they ran out, sorry lost a star. Te cook should have made the server aware so we would have know before making that choice. I had the chicken and waffles and was 100% satisfied. The food was all cooked fresh and came out hot. I don’t mind waiting for fresh food. I did not hear any complaints about the food from my friends. Our server Stephanie did a wonderful job of keeping our glasses full and brought the food out as soon as it was ready. I am sorry to say I was in a hurry to dig in so I did not take good photos which is unusual for me.
