1st and foremost I’m a proud member of the alphabet mafia so this review is being filtered through “inclusive glasses.” My wife and I got married on their gorgeous golf course and patio, it was was a magical night with unmatched views. Later that evening all my guests, many also LGBTQ+ members had the time of their lives singing and dancing with all the regulars AND employees of JRs. We ended up making fast friends with the “Ride to remember” motorcycle riders and ended up joining them in this years ride. It’s that kind of crowd there, good times and soft-hearts. There’s been a review circulating that’s laced with homophobia and insecurity and I gotta tell you all, idk Jay and Karen care if the homophobes and discriminative don’t like their bar. They are building an environment of inclusion and progress and I support the heck out of these beautiful people. You should too 😉❤️

I came here once before and it took me 8 years to go back. As soon as I spoke to the lady at the bar, I remembered why. Rude isn’t the right word… short maybe. Very short and I felt like I was bothering her. Sorry for visiting your establishment so you can work here. The golf course was nice, but I will never eat/drink here. Not with the lack of hospitality you get. Also, why can’t you pay for all 18 holes at once? You just want me to come back inside so I’ll buy something to drink? It feels like you don’t trust people to play what they paid. (The course was great, btw)

Only felt like a stranger in a strange place for the 1st 15 minutes of my first visit! It gained my stamp of approval for the following reasons: Great selection of spirits and beer. And efficient, friendly staff. Sometimes you wanna go where everybody knows your name....and they're always glad.... This, is that place.

HUGE shout out to JR'S Pub & Grill for a successful Newcastle All Class Reunion, hosted by the Class of 1992 this weekend! We had a little over 50 grads from five different decades attend along with their spouses/guests. The food was delicious and the outdoor patio atmosphere was fun, casual and relaxing for everyone. Their staff was spot on the entire evening and the DJ was a hit! I highly recommend JR’s for your next event!

This place is great! Best par 3 golf course that I've ever played. Good course design and well maintained. There's even lights for night golf here! The bar and grill is fun too. I saw a guy getting kicked out for being too drunk at 2pm a couple of Saturdays ago. Good times.

When we were told a lot of friends were going here I expected the worse. Let me tell you I loved it don't let the location scare you once inside its clean well maintained and a good atmosphere. The security was amazing the wait staff was some of the best yes they called me Carl Murra and my wife could not get a drink on our tab but guess what the name had rubbed off some and it did look like Carl Murra lol it became an inside joke right quick lol. Food good reasonably priced DJ good but the people made this bar ill make the 3 hour drive to come back.

Very nice bar. The drinks were good and the golf course was very fun. Too bad people are allowed to smoke in bar.

7/31/2022 Had a great time at JR’s last night. Service was outstanding!!!! There were 3 girls that came by all the time. Very nice and prompt. The bar food was outstanding. Fries, onion burger and fried pickles. The cored was also cool too. Definitely the place to go. And the best part of all……. Brings your cigs. Not many places left like this left.

A big shout out to Karen and the staff at JRs...we had our class reunion double booked and needed a venue on 2 days notice, JRs stepped up and accommodated us for a large group.Wasn't sure what to expect on the menu items, but I was extremely impressed. The food and service was fantastic and friendly!! Thank you so much!!

Played here multiple times now and love it. Great course for any level of golf and worth the price. Greens are in good shape, but would be in great shape if people would fix their divots. Really good driving range as well.

Really chill down to earth type of place. Can be lively at times lol. Great bar and grill. How ever, 2 occasions they have stolen for me. I had a $160 tab and Tip $20 they added a zero and made it 200 I was able to recover $180 of that. Second time I took cash for tips so I wouldn’t have to worry about it and after I left the tag on a $32 tip unauthorized on top of my $130 tab after all the cash I tipped. They refuse to return it and claim they have a legal right to demand 25% tip after you leave. Them girls behind the bar are not exactly 100% honest so watch your money.

The burger they served me looked like a sausage sandwich, I thought 9 dollars would get you a decent size sandwich. After waiting for more than an hour I wasn't surprised by the burger. Think I'll find another place to get a cold beer and a burger

Me and my buddy are 17 yrs old and have played this course lots of times and now they have changed so many rules on the course. For what ever reason you can’t even go on the course unless accompanied by a adult and have to be 18 to play by your self. Have to have 4 people to play at night or pay double as 2 players and now they shut the course down early even though they have lights for night golf. I loved this course before all the restrictions they put on it, now I have to wait another year to be able to play.

Golf course is in great condition. It's coming in well for the dry spring we've had. The service was good also, and the burgers were fantastic. Date is 4/21/2022

The help was just terrible. From the minute we walked up they were short with us as if we were bothering them. They just shut down to pick up balls, so we decide to eat. Took about 30 minutes to get the food and we were the only people in there. They got 3 if 5 orders wrong. At this time it had been over an hour so we head back over to get balls but they had not finished picking them up yet. Asking how much longer and they said they had no idea. We left.

This place has a very friendly atmosphere. Everyone who comes through the door is family. It has a very nice golf course as well as a putt putt course for those of us who are less experienced. The new owners have given this place so many upgrades with the outside venue being my favorite. They have hosted countless fundraisers and is a great business for our community.

Nice, cozy and has a variety of things to do and have by choice to eat or drink.

I'm not one to hang out in smoky areas for too long. But the little bit of time I was there it was ok. I did not check out the whole establishment. Security was particularly friendly.

My nephews, sister & I recently played this course. It was fun, we even decided to get some glow balls to make it more of a "night golf" experience. The staff were all friendly too. I will say, they were crazy busy, but it was because it was quite possibly the coolest evening weather-wise that Oklahoma had seen in a few months. So, if it's nice, prepare for a crowd and a faster paced game.

I can’t say thank you enough for hosting the most epic reunion ever! JR’s hosted a very large group and fed us some amazing Mexican food with only three days notice after LaLuna backed out and cancelled at the last minute. We had excellent service, great food, great music by the awesome Buddy, a beautiful setting on the patio overlooking the golf course which was the perfect backdrop for our photos. I highly recommend JR’s for your next venue! Thanks Karen and Jay Bettes for the amazing hospitality! ❤️

Ive been more than a few times at JR's ,and the staff are always friendly. I've never seen any fights that wasn't taken care of right away,just a fun place!

Waited 15 minutes at the golf window after knocking and ringing their doorbell. Absolutely horrible service, and called to ask if the driving range was open and was told yes, but after we arrived 30 minutes later their driving range was closed. Also in order to play the course you must have 4 people in your group which is absolute blasphemy. Will never be coming back again.

Did not eat or drink at the bar, but spent some time on the driving range and course. It's the perfect 9 hole course, definitely recommend for a casual round of golf

You have gotta try it if you have yet to.Too much fun and wonderful people that work there. They are not only welcoming; they are genuinely good people. I go to a lot of family friendly places and this is one of my new favorites.There seems to be a cool indoor area for adults to chat, hang out at a bar, or have karaoke nights. What a cool concept!

Yeah this place horrible customer service called see of was open told me yes no problem drive two hours oh yeah can play get 3 other people. And ride about it like laughed said that's golf you didn't specify on phone

Nice part 3 course with golf carts. Course was great! Greens and fairways were better than most public courses. Walkable or bring a cart and save some money but play this and enjoy.

Trying to get someone to the window so I can buy a bucket of balls is always stressful. There’s never anyone there. The ac drips by the window. I usually take my kid and can’t bring inside and can’t leave alone. Figure out an automated token system and I’ll raise to 5 stars for sure.

Had to leave a star to leave a review so hit 4 from what I read however I was wanting to see if this is a good singles bar as well. I miss bars where men and women single can meet each other like old day. I refuse to little myself to dating sites. I'm new to Oklahoma and seems there are no bars who I see many single ladies in. I see the owner answers reviews on here and wanted to see if this is a good place for singles as well. I am gonna visit regardless I love to reviews and love hanging out with nice folks

Fun, short 9 hole course. Every time I go it’s usually not busy. All par 3 holes but fun overall. The greens are some of the cleanest I’ve seen.

Nice little pace, easy to get to but feels off the beaten path. They have 9 hole golf, mini golf, food and a full bar and I believe they have live music done times.

This is our favorite bar & grill. The food is amazing, service is fantastic, prices are fair and karaoke is so much fun!! We are here weekly for karaoke, the staff is very welcoming and treats us like family. We also love that people of all age ranges are here, very diverse, which we enjoy greatly.
