This place is absolutely beautiful. We had our wedding here after coming to tour/visit a few months previous. We came back for engagement pics and to tour it a couple more times before the wedding (even after hours). Kelly is wonderful to work with and so accommodating. Wedding options to fit any budget as well as amenities included (tables, chairs, arch...). Plenty of options to get married on grounds and for reception spot. We chose the barn for the reception. Merica was the lady the day of our wedding and she was super friendly and patient as we picked up and put things back in place. Highly recommend the venue for wedding/celebration and when they are open to visit for their many public times to visit though out the year. Located smack dab down town it's truly amazing how they have kept this preserved throughout the 100+ year history on this 10 acres!!

We showed up at an off time on a whim while driving by. We were able to walk the grounds and look around. We weren't able to take one of the normal tours but the signage around the grounds were quite helpful. There is a nice collection of buildings from the late 1800's to early 1900's. Is you're in the area it is worth checking out. I'm sure the knowledge you'd get from the tour would only entrance the experience.

To see 'A Christmas Carol' at Harn Homestead was a special time. It was live outdoors and was fantastic. As a member of the audience it felt as though we were involved. Highly recommend going this year as it may be the last outside rendition. Bundle up.

Very lovely place to step back into time! I remember coming here as a child on a field trip and now as an adult with my homeschooled children. Very friendly staff. Knowledgeable on their history of the Harn family and the plantation. Recommend this for anyone. (Involves a lot of walking.)

Such a peaceful place to have spent a weekend devoted to God & to those who have helped The Oklahoma Church grow in its quest to honor God, the Community in which live as an assembly, to do God's work. Well done.

I absolutely love Harn Homestead! The first time we met Kelly she worked around our schedules to give us a tour of the homestead. She explained everything we needed to know and even gave us recommendations as we began planning our wedding. We were able to take our engagement pictures on site with no extra cost. Kelly and her team were very flexible on letting us schedule a time do come out and do them. There are so many great places to take photos. The day before our wedding we threw them a curve ball last minute and added an extra hour and they were so accommodating and understanding. Then came our wedding day on 9/24/23. Kelly and her team had great communication and they were a huge help the day of. Merica was on sight with us and provided great customer service, helped direct people as well as vendors on where to go, and kept checking in on us to make sure we had everything we needed. I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day and a staff of amazing women to help. The price was outstanding and the customer service was incredible throughout the entire process. We are so pleased and couldn’t have picked a better place to do our wedding! I highly recommend Harn Homestead and their incredible staff! -September 2023 Bride ❤️

A simple example of time traveling. Once you step onto the land the past comes alive and you realize how close our ancestors are. Explore the history of Oklahoma City. Where history meets the future and you become one with the past.

A rustic getaway right here in OKC It's right by the State Capitol. Bring a sack lunch; there's a place outdoors (picnic tables) to eat lunch after your tour. It's relaxing, you're amongst the trees, and you get to see houses from the land run era. Also... learn how they made rope, ground corn..and you learn Harn is next to the Capitol because, back in the day, the Harn homestead donated 40 acres so the Capitol could have a place to call home. Who knew?

Had a great time here on a school field trip. Mr. Sapper made sure we learned a lot while keeping the students interested and engaged. Recommend for home school groups.

The venu was beautiful, the staff was horrible. They were rude and inconsiderate. They started rushing us out hours before the stated contract time said we had to leave. They were beyond rude to the bride and the family. It was an awful experience for a wedding.

Had our wedding ceremony at Harn Homestead. Beautiful place for a wedding. Unhappy with the staff. Everything was great until about 930pm. At that point, the security guard and woman on staff started trying to rush us to clean up and shut everything down. Our rental agreement said we had the place until midnight, so being rushed to get out was an irritation, to say the least. If they want you out at 10, they should advertise that.

My very first time visiting. Attended a party. Great location to hold an event. Spacious. Flow of area was nice. Open space. Enjoyed.

I miss the more interactive stuff and the real animals but it's a cheap fun activity to learn about homesteading and all that goes with ur and the guides are knowledgeable and delightful

The tour guides were very nice and knowledgeable. We went with our homeschool group. The kids had fun and learned a lot. My kids favorite part was the school house and learning how children went to school in the prairie days.

Sons wedding is still being talked about as to just how beautiful the surroundings made for a picture perfect wedding. Nestled amongst the hustle of downtown OKC is a treasure of the past.

The experience I had here was a positive one. The site is beautiful and I'd love to go again. The problem is I can't. For some reason it's closed on weekends and during all my breaks it's closed for the holidays. It's very frustrating to even try to go to this place and I wonder if it's even worth the hassle. This is going to stay a one star review until they change their stupid schedule

I was born in Oklahoma and raised in the NE, I've been back in Oklahoma for at least 25 years and never new this place existed. I've even driven by it countless times over the years. I spoke to another gentleman who has been here in Okc all his life and he never knew this place was existed. If you'd like too learn something give it a shot, it's great for all ages

Honestly wasn't too impressed with this place. Went there for the kiddo's feild trip last friday. Looks like a beautiful & friendly place from the gate but not so much once inside beautiful yes. Friendly? No! The only 2 people working there were not to friendly, rude actually. Not allowed to go inside none of the buildings expect the school house. A couple of parents and some kids (including my child and I) were in the school house after the tour and the man came in and said"Is there a teacher in here? No! so get out all of you" Dont think you should treat paying customers that way much less a school feild trip for 3rd graders! Cant go in gift shop either. My suggestion is dont go to this place waste of time and money nothing to do here but walk the property and be watched like a hawk and rude to if you touch anything.

Kelly is one of the friendliest, most welcoming people we have worked with while planning our wedding. Her ability to be flexible during all of this Covid-19 mess has been such a blessing. She has made it so easy to have Harn Homestead as our venue, and we couldn't recommend a better place for a wedding here in OKC!

Beautiful venue in the heart of OKC! Very picturesque and rustic. We attended my brother in law's memorial here and it was the perfect place to have a celebration of life party.

I can’t imagine a more beautiful, peaceful, and historic venue for a wedding. Possibilities are endless with ceremony locations/backdrops, photography settings, and reception set up. The grounds are beautiful and perfect for an outdoor wedding. The barn is lovely for a reception (even before decorations are brought in) and big enough for a large wedding in the undesired event of rain. We were faced with this possibility but the weather cleared and we were able to continue with our outdoor wedding. Because the barn is made of stone, it is significantly cooler inside and there are enormous fans available to circulate air if needed. Kelly Frye, Events Director, is wonderful to work with, responds quickly to emails and questions, and made our experience at this venue so pleasant. The on site manager was also very responsive and helpful the day of the wedding. I encourage early booking, even a year in advance if possible, especially if you have a specific date in mind. We booked 11 months in advance and didn’t get our preferred date but were very happy with day that was available. The rental comes with the entire 10 acres, tables and chairs, and two beautiful choices for the wedding party to use in getting dressed. The parking is plentiful. Choosing which beautiful backdrop to use for the ceremony was the biggest difficulty in our entire experience. Many of our guests had not been to the venue and were extremely complementary of the venue choice. Guests enjoyed walking the grounds and seeing the historic building and taking their own pictures. We investigated many venues within 1 1/2 hours of OKC and found the cost to be more than competitive and what is available for the price to be far superior to other options. We highly recommend Harn Homestead and Kelly to work with.

Went to an outdoor wedding. It would be nice if they had a sound system that you could hear outdoors. It was kinda hard to hear. Other than that it was great!

We saw Lyric Theater's production of A Christmas Carol and I highly recommend it! It was easy to get to and parking was simple. The production was very creative and enjoyable!
