Just finished up a 9 month lease here. Here’s everything you need to know: Don’t let the beautiful front office fool you, this place is the definition of “lazy.” There is no groundskeeping, there is trash everywhere. There is dog poop literally everywhere, all of the doggy trash cans overflow onto the ground and remain that way for days/weeks at a time. Landscapers come once a week and leave grass and dirt blown up on the porches, which attracts ants that come in through the poorly sealed windows. The insulation is HORRIBLE. I lived in the loft-style 1bed/1.5 bath, and my electricity was over $200/mo, keeping the thermostat at 72 degrees in the summer, and over $150 keeping it around 75 in the winter. The apartment never gets cool or warm, the AC/heater just runs constantly and you will waste money. This last month, I would come home to a 78-82 degree apartment with the AC set to 72. The “amenities” are a joke. The gym is trashed and has little to no equipment. They have multiple pools across the property, but they only opened 2 this summer. BOTH pools were closed all summer due to “chemical balancing” issues and will not be re-opening. The dog park gate is not secure and has gaping holes, with the added bonus of copious amounts of dog poop that is never cleaned up. The laundry facilities are not reliable; the laundry rooms are not cleaned, the machines break often, and there is a problem of clothes being stolen. Good luck getting anyone to answer the phone, you’ll have better luck trying to catch them during the inaccessible office hours of 10am-5pm. Also, there are roaches. :) Lastly, they added a $197 “express move-out fee” that was not listed anywhere on my lease. They said this policy came into effect after my lease was signed, but I was required to pay it or send in documentation of my carpet being professionally cleaned. My apartment was filthy when I moved in, so I would be curious to know if they actually clean the carpets, or just pocket the money. They said they could not send me verification of the carpets being cleaned because they “source it out.” Interesting, right? You can choose to not listen to this review, but seriously consider finding another place to live. Brookwood Village will give you a hot/expensive place to sleep, but not much else.

These are the pools, ALL SUMMER LONG. It’s not worth living here, the amenities aren’t even available as they advertise. They’re always “working on the pools” but 3/7 shouldn’t be that hard to manage giving, that surrounding apartments have CRYSTAL CLEAR POOLS. We have never had a pool open longer than 4 days max, before they close the 3 that are open down. It’s sad honestly. These kids can’t even enjoy their summers here.

The leasing team is friendly and cooperative, the prices were alright (if you don't own pets that is!), but that's all the positive things I have to say about these apartments. I've had issues with water being turned off at random intervals. There is consistently trash and debris along the sidewalks. The steps to my apartment are crumbling. Rampant stray cat population. Neighbors arguing in the middle of the night and homeless occasionally taking refuge in the corridors between units. My largest single complaint however, is that the laundry facilities are some of the worst I've ever seen. The machines are frequently unreliable or out of order, hot water is not available anymore, and there is nothing stopping people from simultaneously using all of the working washer/dryers. The laundry room itself has a door falling off the hinges and is regularly filthy.

DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!! Ac units do not work well what so ever. I can set the ac to 70 and it’ll be 85+ in the apartment. I have put in a work order to get it fixed, surprise surprise no one has done to fix it. Maintenance will not maintain the property and keep it clean. Dog poop and trash everywhere. The washer and dryers are awful, dirty, and don’t even work half the time. Insulation is horrible. Be ready to pay 250+ in the summer for a hot apartment. If I could I would leave this place immediately. Don’t waste your time or money

This apartment complex is reasonable. The price is still a little too high to the amenities. Pool, trails, pond, volleyball court and other items that make living in a complex great compared to a house need a lot of work. The new management has stated they are working on them but I’ve been here for 3 years and certainly has not been the case. These are amenities that can be amazing and add so much value but sadly they look like trash at this point. The apartments need a touch up for sure as in getting new carpet. Making sure people are actually doing a good job repairing certain items with your apartment.

Do not live here! By far the worst apartments I have lived in, and I've lived in some really bad ones. First apartment flooded with sewage! Second apartment we were given an empty fire extinguisher, which resulted in a horrible fire. All the particle board they use can go up in an instant. Third apartment all light fixtures were not up to code and the ceiling fell in. Half of your deposit you will never see no matter how well you keep up with your apartment, because they force you to hire a professional cleaning service for up to 8 hours of work. If you do not, they do it anyways and take it out of your deposit. Management is the friendliest until you move in, then you become a literal nuisance to them. Once again, go somewhere else. Weidner-owned apartments are the absolute worst.

Brandon Elliott was our leasing helper and he was amazing, made us feel at home already and helped out a ton in explaining the apartment complex to us! Edit : This is the absolute worst apartment complex ever to choose, they told us we had to wait for a resident to move out, then when we move in we found that NO ONE had been living in the apartment for 3 MONTHS. After reporting 6 maintenance orders within 12 hours, they fixed 1 issue. The fridge is leaking, the hot water on the shower has zero pressure and they haven't fixed it for 3 days. Completely ILLEGAL. DO NOT RENT OR LEASE OR ANYTHING EVER!! 3 DAYS AND I CHANGED MY MIND ALREADY.

Sam has been awesome with me and my fiance! We were told that we needed to move out of our studio apartment due to them putting in new Plumbing lines and they're switching us to a different apartment but for the same price. I told them that me and my fiance could not afford to move because we would paycheck to paycheck. Sam went back in the office and talked to them and they are going to give us a $500 gift certificate and we're going to go from there. I would definitely recommend Sam because he is willing to work with you and fix us up really nice and helping us! So I would definitely suggest checking this place out!

Went into Brookwood village and I was dealing with a young lady named Erin, she was so sweet and knowledgeable she helped me out with all my questions and concerns. She answered my calls when I called in a timely manner as well. Erin keep doing yo thang!
