Food and Service are always great. The inside of the restaurant could use some remodeling to make better use of space. But we haven't had anything we didn't like on the menu. The Cinnamon Roll is my favorite!

This was, by far, the worst customer service I have ever received at a restaurant. Not even my food being good can make up for that fact. To start, I will say we had a large group. 15 people at three tables outside. Our waiter came to our table first, asked what the kids wanted to drink, left to get their drinks, brought them back, left again, returning with a bunch of waters and sat them among our three tables. She never once asked any of the adults what they wanted to drink, and instead, just kept bringing a bunch of waters to our tables, filling up the tables with cups. The Food. The second table got all of their plates first. No silverware. After returning with a handful of silverware quite a while later, the second table eventually finishes their food as the third tables' food arrives. After two more rounds of food all dispersed at random intervals, we finally almost have all of our food. After all the main dishes arrive, we are missing two sides. At this point, the kids are needing refills on their drinks, I still need silverware as there wasn't enough the first round, the sides are missing, and we need napkins. This wouldn't be so bad if we hadn't already asked multiple times, with multiple different people, and weren't beyond frustrated already from having to wait so long for those things. Our waitress never once apologized or really even spoke at all. She only acknowledged our 3rd table once, in our two hour visit. She never used a notepad or her tablet to keep track of our order or what was missing and genuinely did not seem to care. I get how things are these days. I know places are short staffed and a table of 15 is a lot. But there wasn't even a bare minimum effort here. And seeing as how we were there for a family gathering and waited almost an hour to get seated, it really felt like an awful experience to us all. I generally only write long reviews like this when an experience has been exceptionally awful because I am a super patient, tolerant, and understanding person. But I would never recommend this place to anyone, ever. To end, my burger was fantastic. It's just too bad the service left a bad taste in my mouth!

Fat Elvis Cakes are the 💣! I also tried the Sam I Am breakfast burrito which was amazing too. My fiance fell in love with the chicken fried steak and corned beef hash. This is definitely our new favorite. The cinnamon roll is stupendously scrumptious.

My fave breakfast destination in OKC is clearly a local fave as well. It quickly packs out, but is worth the wait. Open only from 6am-2pm, Sunnyside serves up American comfort food, but with some twists and turns. They also have an abundant plant-based section of the menu. For those who demur from the typical, breakfast can be one of the hardest meals to dine out, unless you are good with plain oat meal, dry toast, and a side of potatoes.

Sunnyside rises to the occasion, and I had their Tofu Scramble, which is filled with superfood veggies and enough spice to get my sinuses up and at ‘em. A side of soy chorizo added even more zest. Wheat toast topped off the meal, along with endless coffee served with a smile.

Sadly, I discovered their NW 6th location to be temporarily closed (it looked like a fire had happened), so I ventured to their SW 89th cafe (they have five locations total in the metro). I’ll keep coming back for Sunnyside. They do breakfast right.

The servers were nice and the place had a good diner feel. I’m appreciative of the vegan options, but I didn’t really like the plant-based french toast. The lemon was too strong and it didn’t need all the toppings.

Don't get me wrong, they do have a bunch of plant-based options! I went ahead and had a plant-based chorizo burrito. But other reviews said they had vegan options, although they do have a plant-based and vegan sided menu, they do not separate their Foods in preparation. Meaning if you order something that's got to be cooked where everything else is cooked, there's a chance for contamination so if you're vegan, that's something to think about when ordering fries or anything that has to come off the grill- but still, I ate! And it was good!

We were not given silverware. Waited a whole hour for the food to arrive, when it did was cold: We were not give everything we ordered. Fries were cold, hashbrowns weren’t cooked right.
