Went during weekday for lunch. I had heard many positive reviews, but never want to go because of long waits. I finally went to see all the hype. It was excellent. The food and ingredients all tasted freshly made. The flavors were unique combining sweet plantains, garlic sauces, spicy salsas. The portions were ample size and left enough for a second meal. The service was really good. It can feel a little crowded or packed in, but that doesn't bother me. Recommend using the no wait app.

If you have Yelp reserve your table ahead of time. The wait time can be upwards 20 minutes to two hours depending on the day and time you want to eat. That being said it is because the food is really good. The staff is friendly and the whole of the restaurant is clean. There is extra parking across the street as their lot is small.

Very good presentation, very bad quality. This is like having a very handsome boyfriend but dumb. This is my second try after the bad review I gave them few months ago. Unfortunately nothing has changed This place is not what it used to be. We order a huevos rancheros that came undercook despite the fact we told them we wanted the yolk more cook than running, the mango pancakes were very dried, not moist and zero fluffy, the french toast was over cooked and my fruit plate was terrible. They drizzled the fruit with some sauces that were extremely sweet and killed the flavor of a fresh fruit. After sending back the huevos rancheros twice we got them right… unfortunately everyone at the table had already finished their meals. I give a 3 star service because at least they did not charge us for the huevos. I would never recommend this place to even my worst enemy. Very expensive for this type of food

A must!! Feels like a Cafe escape into another world, very popular with locals. Be sure to check in online to reserve a spot...it's usually very busy! Food is wonderful. Atmosphere is alive and fun! Super cool spot! Just Go! Fyi Menu is on line

Excellent service and amazing food! The menu focuses on traditional Guatemalan dishes (breakfast & lunch served), coffees, and cocktails. Can get very busy so you may want to try squeezing in a visit at an "off" time (we had breakfast on a weekday about 1030 am: were seated immediately but within 30 minutes or so there was a line waiting outside). Portions are generous, the food is delicious, and service outstanding.

Wow. This place was above and beyond any expectations that I had coming in. We were a big group coming here in the morning, but they accommodated us very well. The servers were flexible and were a great help for some of us who had never been before. The food was just amazing! It was super delicious and the variety that they offer is perfect for everyone. I highly recommend coming here for breakfast if you are in the area.

Been going to this restaurant for a number of years and it has always been good. We used an app to check in which makes it a lot easier to see what position you're in before getting seated. Be sure to check in online then confirm in person before you wander off somewhere. Plenty of vegetarian options and the ambiance is always nice. To be honest, they should expand the size of the restaurant or move. The nitro cold brew was a surprise and was very nice.

Yummy go to brunch spot in OKC. They’ve won a ton of awards here. So much that you can’t show up and eat. It’s really important you get on the wait list through Yelp before you go. I got on the wait list am hour and half before I got there and still had to wait 20 min when I arrived. They stay busy. The parking lot is also small so you might have to street park. The food is delicious. I especially liked the berry pancake and steak breakfast. The servings are large enough for a solid brunch and you won’t be hungry for a few hours.

The place is really good. The desayuno chapín was amazing and it was so big. The tostada reminds me of que I was a kid in Guatemala Saturday nights. I have no complaints about this place, I do wish it was a little bigger to allow for a more date night experience.

This is one of our favorite breakfast spots in OKC. Everything on the menu is phenomenal. The coffee also can’t be beat. I really like the Nutella latte. Anytime we have guests from out of town, we bring them to Kacao and they are always blown away. Try it. You won’t regret it.

Everything was excellent! Portion sizes were very generous, could easily share an entree with someone. Would recommend getting on the wait-list on the Yelp app ahead of time.

Really great experience! Absolutely enjoyed the atmosphere Cafe Kacao gave. The staff, design, and colors really left an impression. Highly recommend getting here with time and getting in line through yelp! Didn’t have to wait long after arriving, absolutely packed! Staff was knowledgeable on the menu, giving great recommendations! The food is very gorgeous with tons of colors, beautifully presented too! Options for everyone in the group, lots of delicious drinks too!

The food was amazing. I can see why it's such a hot spot! The latte I ordered was amazing as well. A little pricey (but worth it), but perfect for a once in a while spot. Even though I would eat here every day if I could!

We were recommended this cafe by our family friends in town. This is a must go to for breakfast in Oklahoma City. You will not be disappointed. The service was excellent. The food was outstanding. The prices were moderate. The ambiance was very good.

Relaxing. Food was amazing! Staff was fantastic! A busy place, but we never felt rushed. My Bourbon Blackberry pancakes were awesome and a work of art! I recommend those!! They are served with fresh mango and strawberries!

Great food and coffee. The server provided great recommendations. There's usually a wait, but it's worth it.

Good things come to those who and we waited in the cold for delicious foods for sure. The creme brulee latte was very fun and tasty. I love a textural contrast. Cuban omelet was flavorful especially with the fried plantains. My friend had the French toast, but she didn't think it had much flavor. Dining area is a little livelier than I would like, but that's because they were packed! I love seeing a local joint thrive.

Exceptional food. I was very annoyed that I tried eating here on multiple occasions with no luck bc the wait is just that long on Saturday mornings. I must admit- it was worth the continued attempts. Pro tip: plan this ahead of time, wake up early on Saturday, and set a timer to make your reservation through yelp. Amazing flavors that I had not been exposed to prior to eating here. Guatemalan style restaurant with a lot of Latin influence and the staff will help you choose a dish suited for you if you ask. Extremely filling portions, lots of eggs, potatoes and plantains on the menu. Another pro tip: ask for the spicy hot sauce as it’s the excellent touch to finish many of the flavors that are incorporated into the dishes.

EVERYTHING IS AMAZING!!! I went two times on a 1.5 day trip to OKC. This was the best coffee I’ve ever had with Cafe Cubano being my top choice. All of the entrees I tasted were delicious: Motuleño and Chilaquiles Verdes. Every flavor of every bite was incredible without being overwhelming. The churros were also the best churros I’ve ever had. The Jamaica (hibiscus) agua fresca was fantastic. The staff were very welcoming and service was quick and friendly. The atmosphere of the restaurant is cozy and bright. There are beautiful murals outside and a walk up window as well. Be sure to check the wait list on their website before going. It’s definitely worth the wait!!

Everyone was very nice, even though things moved very quickly. Food was amazing. Every single thing. So hard deciding what to order. I wish the seats were larger and the place wasn't so tight.

Came here while in town with my company, the OK Clone Store, it was amazing! The service was fantastic and the menu has ALOT to choose from, and you cant go wrong. The coffee was delicious and some of the best I have had. PERFECT temperature, blend of cacao, and milk with artistic designs on top, the barista is top notch! The food was AMAZING, and everything we got was good. Be sure to try this place! Be sure to come early cause it gets busy!

They are good they has long waiting time… why!!! Because they are small and popular! We did ordered many different things, they have wide selection for dishes containing just eggs. The two most catchy and must recommended will be, Nutella Madness - 5/5 (how it can be so fluffy and creamy!) Hot cocoa - 5/5 (my goodness - just order it before it goes out of stock) Rest is up to you as they have many good dishes and I ended up ordering one with mean so have to visit again to taste actual food. Note: For all the vegetarian/ eggeterian must read out full list of ingredients. They have all meat or chicken or fish names added at lasttttt.

Remember to join the waitlist before you go there, it is always super busy and the whole experience is definitely worth the waiting, and the food is just so good! I especially appreciate the vibe a lot, I have been here twice and I always feel like there is more I want to explore on the menu Advice: if they can out more efforts on taking care of the people who are waiting will be perfect!

A very popular brunch spot (expect long waits if you don't get on the waitlist or there early) and for good reason. The food is flavorful and plentiful. Service is great and they have spectacular coffee. I was a sucker for the orange chocolate latte!

Dang, I love this cafe. What stuck out the most to me was the staff—they were actually happy to be there as they were lively and all smiles. It made the restaurant feel elevated because the cohesion and camaraderie accentuated the experience for both the staff and customers. Shoutouts to Edwin. As for the food, I have nothing else to add that thousands of others haven't already said. I'm completely satisfied.

Widely considered to be one of the best breakfast spots and restaurants in OKC. It lives up to the hype. Their sweet and savory options are all equally delicious. Due to their popularity though, they are busy! It'll be a long wait any given weekend. Recommend going on a weekday if you have that ability. Also, recommend the blueberry pancakes. It is essentially a dessert but it's delicious.

Getting a table here is not easy, but it's so worth it. The coffee is so good, that I ordered 2! I love cuban espresso, and the drinks did not disappoint. I ordered the Cuban burrito, and it was delicious! The service was outstanding. Our waitress was very kind and welcoming. We were quickly seated after joining the yelp wait-list online. Definitely one of my favorite restaurants in OKC

The only thing one can say about this place is the waiting list system needs work but once you are seated the experience is well worth it. Usually If I like a meal I will only order that meal specific to that restaurant whenever I visit. Indeed I'm highly impressed due to the fact that I can't wait until my next visit because it's at least four more dishes peeking my interest. Now the plates ordered today was lacking nothing in arrangement, taste nor pricing. I had a Wild Berry Pancake in which my lovely lady kept telling me it reminded her of a low fat cream cake and both of us thought it was absolutely delicious. The highlight of my tastebuds was the Crab Omelet... I never thought that 🦀 and 🥚 could taste so good. I'm looking forward to future visits .... two thumbs .. would highly recommend Oh.... and the Guatemalan Coffee ... exquisite... bold, tasty with a sure wake up boost Respect The Bean & Ziva Show

Wow, talk about an experience! The food was delicious, and the waitress we had (she was wearing a bandana on her head) was so attentive and nice. The wait however you need to be prepared for. We were on a waitlist for 2 hours, but when we checked in, I think it was only 30 minutes? So definitely put your name on the list; check in at the actual restaurant (through text) and stay in the area!

We ate a delious brunch here not long ago. We were a large group. "Jesus", our server, was amazing. He was quick, constantly checking on us, filling our coffee cups and he gave us a number of fantastic appetizer suggestions. The Papusas were out of this world as were all our Latin themed meals. The restaurant atmosphere was super warm and friendly. The Cafe Kacao has an extensive beverage and food menu. We definately will come back next time we come to visit family in Oklahoma City. Thanks so much Cafe Kacoa.

The Migallas are one of my favorite brunch plates! Even to go the food was still wonderful. I switched the fruit for the breakfast potatoes, although the fruit is delicious as well. If you’re looking for a mouthwatering meal, this is a must try!

Fantastic Latin American food. Traditional breakfasts with platanos, black beans, Guatemalan chorizo ...as well as French toast that was crazy good. Everything presented perfectly. Beautiful food with wonderful flavors. The Japanese matcha was excellent as well. Michelle our server was so good - even though the place was full, she was so attentive.

The food and service here was amazing, the drinks were also perfect. The atmosphere in the restaurant ties in very well to the food and vibe of the place. Would recommend going here with family and friends but have a reservation! P.S. get the blueberry pancakes they are very good.

Went to this unique brunch spot with some relatives while I was visiting. The menu was tasty and I enjoyed the ambience. I'd say the only minor improvement would be including pictures in the menu for newcomers unfamiliar with the cuisine.
