Stockyards Stampede Saturday October 20th, 2018. What a great event it was started off with stampeded through Main Street, awesome gun fights on streets, free foods and many cowboys on horse and guitar singers to entertain spectators. Good restaurants and Western wears to eat and shop while you wait in between events.

I have to say, I am just as disappointed today as I was 8 years ago, when I first visited the Stockyards and saw the condition of your cattle and the inhumane way they are treated in Stockyard City. I'm a 3rd generation cattle rancher, and the condition of the cattle here was disturbing enough to me, that I have extended my initial visit an additional 8 years at this point, to try to help your cattle. I've attended round-ups, observed feeding, and prayed for the medical needs of your poor cattle for 8 years now. Please realize, that cattle that are subjected to such inhumane conditions will never mature into the fine cattle God intended them to be. You have to look after your herd properly if you want them to grow and develop properly. Please address this issue Stockyard City Oklahoma City OK USA!!!

Cute area of OKC. I thought the stockyards were just for the sale, but there's so much more there!

Idc about the stores our the concept of the outsiders coming in and judging my family in the neighborhood, if anything it shines a light on how the state has neglected this part of the city of Civilians but praised tourism for funding which I've yet to see make a difference considering Everything our Civilians living in the stockyards have lost. Been hoping more awareness would happen and more franchise and maybe a Walmart neighborhood would open up in the area to provide work for people in the flats and pac n town . If you don't get the lingo people on the stockyards side of the tracks are pac rats and the people on the north side of the tracks are flat rats. But we do need reasonable development of business to open up for work. Like another Braums, Walmart Neighborhood, Dollar General, walgreens etc...like reasonable stores that are basic but functional and reasonable for the environments of the community. Maybe some trade training and a small women's shelter, and bring back the kids center. Reasonable things for the people of the stockyards and not just tourist attractions.

The Stockyards are great. We like that the buildings show their age. Everywhere people tried to let time stand still. The shops have great and sometimes really unique things that you would like to take with you straight away, but the price or size doesn't always allow it. We can only recommend everyone to take a look at the Stockyards and pay attention to the little things... just great.
