This place is always busy. I was surprised when we finally went; we could get a seat. There was a wait, and they gave you a buzzer to inform you when the table was ready for your party. We were seated right beside the kitchen. (Only thing that was available for our party size) everything that we ordered was very delicious hot and fresh well, maybe not fresh. I did order avocado for my eggs, but when it came out, it was not ripe at all. I told my waitress about it, but nothing happened because when I got my receipt, they still charged me for the avocado that was unbearable to eat.

We're still in the restaurant. This was an outstanding dining experience. Food was delicious, service was fast and friendly. We are here for lunch, but they are open until 2000 so we are looking forward to trying dinner. A great first visit.

It's been a while since I've been so delighted to eat somewhere I haven't been before. Was looking for somewhere with good fish & chips, and couldn't have done better! The fish was so good, and the fries were well seasoned. My husband had the fried chicken platter, which was an equally well made plate of delicious home-style cooking.

Look for further!! This is the place to go for breakfast food and lunch, diner style. We’re not originally from Oklahoma and this quickly became our go to for good food. It gets busy on weekends so get there early or go later in the day. Staff is great.

Everything was very good and very large portion sizes for kids and adults which we appreciated. Food came out fast and the waitress was great. Loved the chicken strips and waffles, the spicy honey sauce, pancakes, and the regular and strawberry whipped butter. Biscuits were overdone but still good. Lots of options and would definitely return!

Good food. A bit of a wait but expected for a Sunday afternoon. We had croissant French toast, Fried chicken and waffles, and cinnamon roll pancakes. The fried chicken was tasty! The cinnamon roll pancakes were not presented as well as one of the pictures on google-but my son liked them. The exception was the pecans that are sprinkled on top-the flavor was a bit off, as if they had been in a plastic bag a bit too long. The croissant French toast was good-it is already buttery so don’t make the mistake of using the butter that comes on top of the dish unless you REALLY like butter… Pink lady mimosas were perfect! The French vanilla coffee was on fleek-I was able to drink it black, no creamer and sugar-it was that good

This place is SO Good!! Don't miss out! Homemade food in a metro area. The pot pie is ridiculously good and our waitress was so sweet and kind. Come try it for sure! The options for breakfast, lunch and dinner are the best.

Birthday Brunch for our son. He ate at a Metro Diner outside of Ft Bragg North Carolina. He and his wife had the Chicken and Waffles. I had the Croissant French Toast, so,so good. And my wife had the San Francisco Eggs Benedict.

We ordered the Chicken Tender Plate, the Chicken and Waffle, and 2 Diet Cokes. The food was the best I've ever had. Nothing was close to mediocre. Even the Diet Coke was delicious! You get big portions of food, so I got a second meal out of it. The atmosphere was lively, and the music was good (old rock from the 70s/80s, I think). Service was quick, and everyone was polite and nice! I'm definitely going to come again! And I will recommend it to everyone I know!

This food was very good. I got the southwest scramble bowl and a southern pecan coffee. Our waiter Rafael was so amazing and attentive. He can pour you a coffee unlike anyone else, with no spills too lol. He made our meal there truly a great experience. We will definitely return !!

One word describes this place. Delicious! I get something different every time I go, and the food never disappoints. And the service is wonderful also. I can't wait to go back again. I do wish they would put a Metro diner on the south side of OKC then I would probably eat there all the time.

UPDATE: Although a few years ago we loved this diner, the price has significantly soared and the food quality has dropped. My favorite plate was the turkey with fixings that included a really nice roll, but the last time we went and they forgot my roll, when I mentioned it the waitress told me that hadn’t done rolls with that meal in over two years. I knew she was not forthcoming because we had only been frequenting this establishment for about two years and I had ordered the meal several times. We have stopped going to this diner for that reason, and a few others. The last time we went, our lunch cost for 2 people was over 60.00 which was crazy since it was our regular meals as before and I didn’t even order a drink. Sorry Metro, but you’re off our list of favorite places. loved this place, will definitely be going back again. I had the shepherd pie and the gravy was amazing. My husband had the meatloaf dinner and just about wiped out his whole plate. my sister and brother-in-law both had salads and they love them but they're huge plates so be very hungry when you go down.

I’ve ordered curbside here plenty of times and never had any issues. Today I had a to-go order to pickup inside. I walked into the restaurant behind a Caucasian woman, the host asked her if she had an order for pickup, and another girl came to help her, at that time a Caucasian man walked in AFTER me, and the host proceeded to ask him if he had a pickup as well, as if I wasn’t standing right there waiting to be helped before he walked in, she took his name and the other girl proceeded to look for his order, so I walked over to the to go orders and found my own order myself, because apparently if you’re not a Caucasian person, you’re invisible here. This is definitely the last time I’ll be spending my money here when there are plenty of other restaurants nearby where I’ve NEVER been treated like I didn’t exist. It’s 2023, this shouldn’t STILL be an issue. Do better.

This is a super chill and friendly environment. The staff is super helpful, and I would definitely come eat again. Our server Isabella was super patient and helpful. The food was also great! The chicken strips are good.

Rafael is the best server ever! I believe he walked on water to bring our food over. He treated us like family begging for a good review and money! Excellent food and service!

Some of the best chicken and waffles I’ve ever had. They give you 3 LARGE pieces of chicken when other places chicken keeps getting smaller and smaller. A huge thick waffle. The chicken was great and juicy. I was visiting here from out of town but I’m a fan now I’ll visit a metro diner wherever I go. I wish we had them in Kansas City.

We recently won a giveaway for a Valentine's Day dinner for two. Thank you, Metro Diner, for a lovely candlelit dinner for two. The food tasted excellent, and looked very nice as it was served (as it ALWAYS does) and the service Melissa gave us was top notch. Casey, the kitchen manager was very attentive and kind. I even got a bouquet of beautiful flowers. We love our Metro Diner in OKC, and we will definitely be back! Happy Valentine's Day! 💞♥️💘

A little disappointed in the Southwestern Burrito, as it seemed quite bland even though there was a lot in it. The chicken and waffles is great. Eggs Benedict looked amazing and I'll definitely try that next time.

Went on a biscuits and gravy battle today between here and black bear diner, I was a bit disappointed with the biscuit as it was tough, small, and the gravy was bland, still is a very nice place to dine in, I'm sure the rest of the food here is tasty. Staff is very nice, always smells amazing like pancakes inside. Black bear had biscuits twice the size as these and had softer middle and good gravy. Still neither were as good as Grandy's biscuits and gravy nor I believe there will be any, thank you. They will be having an Easter feast event.
