It was alright. I’m being generous on the stars cuz the service wasn’t bad and you can’t get drive thru plantains anywhere else but, the food wasn’t amazing. For my tastes anyway. That’s all. It was cool. But not bad. But not amazing. I’ve tried quite a few things. I had nuggets and they were not hot and they didn’t seem the freshest. I had empanadas and they weren’t hot either, didn’t really taste good, and didn’t have much filling. The rolls aren’t hot either and they’re nothing too special. I also had their fried chicken which was good consistency and hot. Wasn’t amazing though. Then I had their fried chicken sandwich. It’s kind of like what you’d get from Chick-Fil-A. The pickles had more of a cucumber taste which was kinda cool. The sandwich was good and probably my favorite. The buns though were slightly soggy. Only slightly. Kinda what happens when a sandwich is in a foil pouch kind of thing. The sides were good. The beans were good I really liked em, although there were barely any in there. The plantains were nothing like the picture. More like some grilled baked apples kind of vibe in a cup. Moist and something you eat with a spoon. They looked like dry finger foods on the menu. It was tasty!!! Mashed potatoes were, okay. Portions on those sides were good. The workers were friendly so that’s always great!

Terrible, my wife went to pick up food on today because we had been out shopping all day. We were given burnt grill chicken, picked over fried chicken. This place is too expensive to give such poor quality of food. The fry boxes had almost nofries in the box. Don’t waste your money.

Seriously one of the best chicken places I’ve ever been to. Don’t be fooled by it being fast food. This chicken is good enough that it could be a very popular place in Midtown with craft beer. Wish I could own a franchise. The place is crazy busy.

We just decided to go here last minute and we’re not disappointed! The fried chicken was delicious, the batter on it was perfect. It was our first time to try yuca fries and the lady was so nice to give us a sample before ordering. Then to top it off the plantains were great!

Only give you what you pay for when you are Mexican, if you are black, white, or any other kind of brown they will just give any which food at you without a care. Always make the mistake to try this place and never fail to be snubbed as soon as they prepare my order. Witnessed a Black lady customer in front of me… they forgot her drinks, napkins, and sauces, basically everything but chicken. Completely careless. She had to kind of get mean just to get her items they missed because the entire team was just very uncaring and didn’t seem to even know what was missing, Anytime you come in, they will automatically only half fill your sides if you aren’t Mexican… at least that’s what they have shown me. All while at the end of the night they are taking care of themselves, and packing up the good stuff to take home. I asked for any kind of hot sauce, or salsa for the chicken. They played stupid and acted like there was no hot sauce… now looking online there was. They just didn’t want to inconvenience themselves and thought because I wasn’t Hispanic, I don’t need sauce or salsa. Just selfish people running this restaurant. Cutting corners on every meal so they can take your food home and eat what YOU paid for. Basically Don’t eat here if you aren’t Hispanic, they won’t take care of you the same way they do themselves. If you are Hispanic and want to go out of your way to eat here for the way they will uplift you above anyone else, by my guest. But you are supporting their ill-treatment of everyone else.

We happened to be driving in the area and came across Pollo Campero and decided to give it a try. We got the 4 piece mixed chicken with 2 sides and an extra side of plantains. The breading on the chicken was light and crisp and had a good flavor. The grilled chicken was very flavorful I’m guessing they do a citrus and herb marinade as the flavor can be tasted in every bite. (The seasoning reminded my husband of how they make grilled chicken in Guatemala therefore it tastes a little different than American style grilled chicken.). Both chicken flavors were juicy and delicious. The plantains were awesome, just like we make at home when I have time to make them. The service was good and the restaurant itself was clean and well kept. We will be going back again soon.

Went through the drive-thru, got my food pretty fast. The grilled chicken was very juicy and lots of flavor. Beans tasted great but the coleslaw wasn't my favorite.

Grilled and or fried the chicken is definitely flavorful all the way to the bone! Beans were amazing and the mango/ nectarine juice was good too! Staff was very friendly. I will definitely be coming back!

I was actually really pleasantly surprised at how good the campero salad bowl was. Also same with the horchata although there is a nut allergy warning if you plan on ordering that. The empanadas were also good but not as flavorful as the bowl. Friendly staff and food was fresh.

3 stars cause they my people, but in reality 2 stars. def was not expecting a bowl and a drink for $14. Large drink alone was $3! And the bowl I purchased wasn’t even filled. Don’t think I’m coming here again. Please do better. First picture is the campero bowl. 2nd is qdoba. I would advise to go to qdoba.

Awesome spot, both the fried and grilled chicken is very tasty. The empanadas are more like little chicken pot pies, which isn't a bad thing. All the sides were tasty and well portioned. Would recommend for lunch

Tried this place for the first time tonight and it’s been a LONG time since I’ve enjoyed fried chicken this much. We did a family meal with 1/2 grilled 1/2 fried chicken, yuca, and corn salad, and tortillas and everything was incredible and really freshly made. It looks like a fast food place, but it doesn’t taste like a fast food place. So good! We’ll be back!

Average. $9.23 for this is not worth it. The nuggets didn’t have any flavor and the mashed potatoes seemed to taste like instant potatoes. The bread is just a cheap bun that you would get at at your aunts house (the one you don’t like that much, but you have to go anyway because your mom said so). No drink provided with this meal combo either.

There's no increased value to getting a "combo" or really good value to any items. A chicken sandwich, single side and a drink is over $14. I can't think of any other normal drive thru with this high of pricing on items like this. Theres also constantly missed items requested on my order, I didn't get charged for them but I definitely asked for them. I've received different sized sides when requesting the same item at different times. Just can't really justify wasting my time or money here anymore regardless of whether the food is or isn't good.

Gave it the old college try. STAY AWAY! We tried the nuggets, signature sauce, coleslaw, mashed potatoes, and fried dark chicken. Spit out the coleslaw because it was the WORST! It was warm, and was very pickle tasting. Their signature sauce tasted like BBQ mixed with pickle juice and vinegar. Absolutely terrible. I think the nuggets probably sat in a hot box until I ordered them. The mashed potatoes tasted like cafeteria food. The regular dark meat fried chicken was the only edible food, and even that lacked flavor. For a company whose slogan is “taste the flavor” they sure don’t know how to season. Waste of money.
