I
recently
had
a
hospital
stay,
and
I
wanted
to
share
my
thoughts
and
experiences
regarding
the
nursing
staff
and
doctors
during
that
time.
Overall,
my
stay
was
mixed,
with
some
positive
aspects
but
also
some
concerning
issues.
First,
I
want
to
commend
the
doctors
who
attended
to
me
during
my
stay.
They
were
attentive,
professional,
and
worked
diligently
to
diagnose
and
treat
my
condition.
All
the
medical
procedures
they
performed
were
uneventful,
and
I
appreciate
their
efforts
in
trying
to
find
out
what
was
causing
my
bleeding.
They
showed
great
dedication
and
expertise
in
their
field.
However,
there
were
some
significant
issues
with
communication
and
nursing
care
that
need
to
be
addressed.
One
of
the
main
problems
was
the
timely
updating
of
doctor's
orders.
Several
times,
the
doctors
informed
me
of
changes
in
my
treatment
plan,
but
it
appeared
that
the
nursing
staff
was
unaware
of
these
updates.
This
lack
of
communication
left
the
nursing
staff
in
the
dark
about
what
was
going
on,
and
it
was
frustrating
and
confusing
for
me
as
a
patient.
It's
crucial
that
there
is
effective
communication
between
doctors
and
nurses
to
ensure
seamless
care.
Another
concerning
issue
was
the
insertion
of
the
IV.
The
nursing
staff
attempted
to
insert
an
IV
four
or
more
times,
and
each
time
was
extremely
painful.
One
of
the
RNs
mentioned
that
one
of
the
IVs
was
installed
improperly,
which
explained
the
intense
pain
I
experienced
when
it
was
used.
This
was
a
distressing
experience,
and
I
believe
that
the
nursing
staff
should
have
been
better
trained
or
more
cautious
to
avoid
such
discomfort
and
potential
complications.
Furthermore,
there
seemed
to
be
a
problem
with
the
nursing
staff's
ability
to
contact
the
doctor
when
needed.
It's
essential
for
nurses
to
be
able
to
reach
out
to
doctors
promptly,
especially
in
situations
where
there
are
changes
in
a
patient's
condition
or
treatment
plan.
This
lack
of
communication
between
the
nursing
staff
and
doctors
can
result
in
delays
in
care
and
can
be
detrimental
to
the
patient's
well-being.
In
summary,
while
the
doctors
provided
excellent
medical
care
and
were
dedicated
to
finding
the
cause
of
my
condition,
there
were
significant
issues
with
communication
and
nursing
care
during
my
hospital
stay.
Improvements
in
communication
between
doctors
and
nurses,
as
well
as
better
training
in
IV
insertion,
would
greatly
enhance
the
overall
patient
experience
and
ensure
a
higher
level
of
care.
