I've
always
been
told
Mercy
was
amazing
for
delivery,
but
while
the
doctors
and
nurses
were
great,
as
was
their
overall
care,
the
smaller
issues
made
it
an
experience
I'd
like
to
forget.
Despite
having
a
scheduled
C-section,
we
were
forced
to
switch
rooms
twice
over
only
three
days
and
two
nights,
progressing
from
a
comfortable
birthing
suite
to
what
could
easily
have
been
used
as
a
broom
closet.
While
the
rooms
had
the
same
amenities
on
paper,
room
two
had
broken
equipment
that
beeped
incessantly
at
2:00
a.m.
and
a
broken
recliner.
Room
three
was
smaller
than
a
child's
bedroom
,
had
fluctuating
temperatures
that
kept
my
baby
awake
at
night,
and
a
chair
so
uncomfortable
that
my
husband
literally
slept
in
the
car.
The
walls
were
so
thin
that
we
could
hear
everyone
else's
babies
crying.
We
were
also
forced
to
choose
between
pitch
black
or
light
too
bright
for
sleep,
which
kept
everyone
up,
as
well.
We
were
never
provided
with
an
explanation
for
why
WE
had
to
move
twice,
as
opposed
to
an
incoming
patient,
which
was
especially
frustrating
when
I
was
still
recovering
from
a
major
surgery.
This
hospital
was
clearly
understaffed.
The
nurses
took
anywhere
from
20-30
minutes
to
respond
to
calls
despite
being
attentive
when
they
did
make
it.
At
one
point,
my
husband
wanted
to
go
home
and
sleep
during
the
day,
but
we
couldn't
rely
on
the
nurses
actually
showing
up
within
a
reasonable
time
frame
to
help
me
or
assist
with
the
baby,
so
he
just
stayed.
Other
small
issues
included
only
providing
dry
wipes
and
no
clothing
for
the
baby.
They
explained
dry
wipes
were
better,
but
then
used
the
wet
ones
I
brought
myself.
When
I
asked
for
a
onesie,
I
was
brought
just
a
shirt
in
December,
so
my
boy
had
to
go
home
in
soiled
clothing.
The
food
was
fine,
the
nurses
were
genuinely
helpful
and
nice,
the
patient
beds
were
surprisingly
comfortable
despite
their
constant
automated
shifting,
the
doctors
were
all
fantastic,
and
there
was
a
nursery
for
healthy
babies
(also
understaffed,
so
basically
unusable).
I'm
due
in
April
and
won't
deliver
at
Mercy
again.
My
experience
could
have
been
much
less
stressful
and
frustrating.
In
no
way
did
they
live
up
to
their
reputation.
I
don't
recommend
them.
I've
added
photos
of
room
1
and
room
3.
