Nice to buy cheap novel and study material. This market has lost his size in covid. But you still get old at good rates

For a young 20 something guy, it isn't easy to splurge on books. This place offers the perfect remedy. Second hand books of various vintages can be bought if only you have the patience to delve into the huge stacks of books scattered about. For the first timer, I recommend that you wander a bit observing the book stalls checking whether they have the kind of books that you're looking for. Do not go overboard on seeing a book being sold at half its cover price. There is a good possibility that you can buy it for cheaper a few stalls down the line. Always bargain. Try to watch a few hardened regulars negotiate with the seller before you proceed to buy. Some shopkeepers know their stuff very well, but most have little clue of the value of their books. It isn't unheard of to find a first edition copy among a collection of Mills and Boons say. So buckle up and dig deep into those tomes and rest assured that someone there has the book that you're looking for at a very cheap price. PS: Just so you don't end up like me, make sure the Sunday you go doesn't fall before any major holiday.

Great market which is in Mahilla Haat, Daryaganj Delhi for all book lovers. You can find almost any book from new to old and sometimes even the ones which are unavailable in the local markets. Please bargain as per your expertise, and check the book twice. Here academic books, comics, novels, competitive exams preparation books, picture books are available. Look for Mahilla Haat in google maps and you got it. Must visit.

    Nearest Metro Station - Delhi Gate Gate number-3 As per net the nearest metro station were Chandni Chowk and Lal Quila, but then I had to pay extra for the auto, but while returning I saw there's this gate number 3 of "Delhi Gate" just 100 m away on the same road. I went at afternoon and there was no tent for us, in the corridor and also there wasn't any water facility... The book stalls's tent covered just the stalls. Also the prices weren't that low, and when they were low, the quality of the pages got low too. In general a ₹500 novel can be purchased at ₹100 and with more books, more discount can be made Also this place has stationary items too! If you don't care about the quality and just wanna read it's a good place to buy {though not everything is present here and you've to look at all stalls first...also it's mostly novels and less academic books + aspirants can take NCERTs sets and [maps and charts (₹20)]}

All types of books present here. Parking of 2-4 wheeler isn't problem. Competitive exams books, NCERT books, coaching center books, magazines, novels of all genre. Time - 9 am to 5 pm. If you are love to read books then this is best place for you. (( It's near Metro station, so easy to travel as well )).

You can get older books at the cheapest price even though there are some pirated books of the original one at half price. If you're a book enthusiast you must visit this place once you will be amazed to see the range of books and joy of sellers and buyers. There are numerous ranges of books ranging from the literature, cultural, informational, books for preparation of medicine jee even upsc...... But you will not book higher studies easily you have to search a lot and even after that it is not sure that you will find the needed one. Even professional books are not available in a wide range. You can get plenty of novels, you can take a picture of cover and ask to shopkeeper it will save lots of time

One of the perfect place to buy books and notebooks of any type that too at reasonable price. Daryaganj Sunday Book Market is one of the worth hidden gem for all the book lovers and students who wants to buy course or competitive exam books. •Nearest Metro Station: Delhi Gate or Jama Masjid. •After getting out of metro the book market is at walking distance and even take e-riskshaw if you are getting out from Jama Masjid metro. •Book shop are present on weekdays too but the market/hawkers selling books is specific to Sunday.

The market is located in the heart of Old Delhi, and it's a book lover's paradise. You can find all kinds of books here, from textbooks and novels to rare books and antique editions. The market is open only on Sundays, and it's advisable to reach early in the morning to avoid the crowds. The market offers an incredible collection of books at very affordable prices, which is one of its biggest attractions. You can also find second-hand books here, which are in excellent condition and are sold at very reasonable prices. Despite its shortcomings, Daryaganj Book Market is a must-visit for book lovers. The incredible collection of books at affordable prices makes it a unique shopping experience, and you can spend hours browsing through the stacks of books. Overall, if you love books, Daryaganj Book Market should be on your list of places to visit in Delhi.

Open market with multiple sellers for books. Look for the white decorations if you're coming for the first time. The market opened at 10am today (10th Jan 2021) and the cheaper books were out after 11:30. There was barely any crowd at 11. The sellers can be bargained with. But there are also sellers who outright offer books at 20 each. Worth a visit for anyone who's into reading. Also a decent variety of study material books for students. I got about 11 books of varying prices at a total of 410.

Heaven for readers. This place has a lot of books to buy at very low cost. Fiction and non fiction in loads Books for schools, college and preparation too. Maangaa too. I buy books from here time to time. During my college I bought CS engineering books at very cheap price. Now coming here on Sundays and spending time going through so many titles, book covers, authors and picking up new reads is a joy.

I enjoyed these flea book markets as a teenager when I had more time and could just consume all sorts of books. Now, i am more selective about of reading with limited time; not to mention lots of academic reading to be done. Also, books are very easily available on line and also on torrents. Even the Daryaganj market cannot compete with the online prices. Overall, i felt it's a good way to browse and find a random read and then purchase it online. Or maybe chance upon a first edition to add to your exotic collection.

The Daryaganj Sunday Book Market, a weekly affair in the heart of Delhi, is a haven for book enthusiasts and bargain hunters alike. Known for its extensive collection and surprisingly low prices, this market is a dream destination for anyone looking to expand their literary horizons without denting their wallet. As you stroll through the bustling lanes, you're greeted by rows upon rows of books, ranging from academic texts to fiction bestsellers. The variety is staggering - whether you're a fan of classic literature, contemporary novels, or even rare editions, Daryaganj has something for everyone. What truly sets this market apart is its affordability. Here, you can buy any book or novel very cheap, making it an ideal spot for students, researchers, and casual readers who are on a budget. It's a testament to the market's commitment to making reading accessible to all. For the optimal experience, plan your visit post 11.00 am. This is when most vendors are fully set up, displaying their full range of books. Arriving early might give you a head start, but the real buzz and complete selection are available a bit later. Overall, Daryaganj Sunday Book Market is not just about purchasing books; it's an experience in itself. The joy of browsing through stacks of books, haggling for the best price, and eventually finding that one book you've been searching for is incomparable. For anyone in Delhi during a Sunday, this market is an unmissable experience.

For a bibliophile, this place is heaven-made-true. The collection of books here can rival any library. But the reason we all love this place is the discount!! From 50% to even 90%, you will find books here at unbelievable discounted rates. Under 1000 bucks, you can go home with am entire book shelf. Tip 1: Lookout for pirated copies. Check the glue on binding and print quality. Try to avoid pirated copies wherever you can, they don't last long. Tip 2: Explore the whole market before buying anything. You might find the same book at a lower price on another stall. Tip 3: Don't hesitate from buying second-hand copies. They are likely to be genuine, and if the condition is right, you can enjoy the lovely old-book smell of the paper. Hope it helps...

Definitely one of the largest book markets I've ever visited. It has seemingly unending varieties of books. You will find books for every age and every genre here in cheap prices. Bestsellers are found on every stall. One downside is that the market is filled with pirated books, more than the used ones.

It takes time to search books so it's better to write down all the list of your books and you need ample of time in your hand to search books in this market. The market has an enormous amount of books. Help us students to afford cheap books pirated or second hand or anything but actually you can get books for really cheap rates. A must visit place for students studying in colleges at least once a month not month but at least once in 3 months so you can buy a good number of books at low price

Date- 17-01-2021 Sunday book market Daryaganj ( location- mahila haat) is best market to buy Novels. It opens at 10 AM. Its a flea market. Market is on walking distance from Delhi Gate metro station. Price of novels are very cheap ( I bought 7 novels in 500₹) but if you are expecting cheaper then this, may be you find it disappointing. You can find novels between 40₹ to 100₹.

Very big market to buy all types of books - novels, study material, competitive exams, NCERT, fiction, non fiction and sometimes diary and stationery too. Need to carry a big solid bag to take books and in summers it gets too hot. Better to go early or in late afternoon. There are no shops or stalls. Sellers are selling books on ground so you need to be on your toes and check the books. Some old novels are available for as low as 20rs.

This is the best and cheapest market for books and especially notebooks or registers as you can buy 4 to 5 notebooks in just 250 rupees. They have weightage system in which books and notebooks are given or sold by weight. but currently due to the flood this market is closed and water is everyone so don't please go there. You can go to Delhi gate metro station which is nearest to it. Don't purchase things to quickly watch the market and after some research do purchase the product which you like.

Probably one of the best places to find books that you want to read for change and even sell. Where is due to the recent changes made by the government, the market has no longer being in operation the way it used to be. The nearest metro station is Delhi gate parking is also available nearby and you can easily park your vehicles. Do not come on any other days exception Sunday.

You have to get out on the gate no 3 of delhi gate stations after going straight to 200 metres on the wrong side you will see a park on the left side. Regarding the prices some books are half of the rate. And some common books have 50 to 100 rupees. Some popular books are sold early in the morning. And the edition is 2 to 3 years back.

I loved daryaganj market, here you can buy lots of competitive exams books and buy notebook at per kg rate but I will not suggest because mostly notebook are very thick thus it charges you more in comparison to notebook packet having 4-12 notebooks in 1 packet which can cost around 500 /- depending upon widht You can also buy support book's ncert books , question banks , sidebooks and refference books Here , their is a shop which is type of mall which allows you to chose check each thing and buy accordingly I found this market so helpful for students like me who are preparing for competitive entrance exams . Yes another thing mahila haat Sunday book market also opens here but never go , in week of independence like in between 10-20 August because they closes most of market due to security reasons

  • 5/5 Top S. 10 months ago on Google
Tip - if you're looking for some particular books then While going to book market, in the way several book shops come, ask the price there and then go to the book market and ask the price there also, compare both the prices only then buy. I bought Atomic Habits by James Clear Form Book Market. Mrp on book is 750. In Amazon it's price is 450.and here I got it in just 150 rupees.but when I asked it's price in the shop and they said 100 rupees. So it's better to ask price from both sides then buy. But if you want any random book to read then go with daryaganj book market. 👍
