There is no longer a cinema from long time here, it's just a landmark. Traffic is always bad here, hawkers and carts make it worse.

Crowed place. Novelty Cinema no more now, place used as parking. Tyre Market behind it. I used to live here in Nai Basti before 2006. Old Delhi Railway station is nearby. Road lead to Naya bazaar and Sadar Bazar, the wholsale market of old Delhi. Dua sweets and Mandir wala Halwai along with many other eating option in the area.

Closed for screening but is still a very famous landmark in that area, besides cinema exists a tyre wholesale market where one can find good tyres at reasonable price, provided you know the right size, opposite to cinema is the entry gate for big parking ground of old delhi / delhi railway station

Heritage site very close to old Delhi railway station thats the reason it is crowded . Main road of commute for many .

Novelty was started as a theatre, which was earlier called Elphinstone. The name was changed when one of the wealthiest city residents Jagat Narain Seth acquired it in 1930-40s. He also owned two more movie halls in old Delhi — Jagat near Jama Masjid and Ritz, at Kashmere Gate. This is the third cinema in the Walled city area, which has been razed. One of the popular halls — Jubliee near Chandni Chowk was demolished in 1990s and New Amar was knocked down to pave way for Chawri Bazaar Metro Station. At one point of the old Delhi area had 12 cinemas however at present only four are operational—Delite, Abhishek, Moti and Ritz.

Novelty cinema tha yeha par few year back but ab log isko as illegal parking use karte hai ,very dirty place

Highly crowed & polluted place totally traffic jam here every day bikes scooters drive totally wrong & totally high noise polluted area please avoid this place because when you came here only wastage of your valuable time & money

Although the novelty was razed by govt to build mnc its still barren. Nearby market are mostly of syrup and cakes premix
