The temple is very old and here is the origin of Krishna river. Not only the view from temple premises is spectacular but even the temple looks ancient and well preserved. You can easily see the river origin and the pond.

A very old temple and with traditional built and scenic environment around it, the women/caretaker here told us this was source of krushna river. Foggy during monsoon! Felt like a artistic movie scene !

This temple is a peace within it. Which has the origination of Krishna river from it and a Shivling in rectangle shape inside the temple. Do visit to experience the peace and soothing nature sound around it. For best experience visit during monsoon.

At a distance of 300 m from Mahabaleshwar Temple and 6 km from Mahabaleshwar Bus Stand, Krishnabai Temple is an old temple situated few meters away from Panch Ganga Temple in Old Mahabaleshwar. It is among the famous Mahabaleshwar tourist places. Krishnabai Temple is supposed to be source of the Krishna River. The temple was built in 1888 by a ruler of Ratnagiri on a hilltop overlooking the Krishna valley. The temple has a Shiva lingam and a beautiful statue of Goddess Krishna. A small stream of the river flowing from a cow-face (gomukh) falls in a Kund or water tank which is the source of might River Krishna. Stone carved columns and ceilings are the special characteristics of this temple. The temple also offers enchanting views of the Krishna valley and surrounding countryside. Behind Panch Ganga temple, there is a small and well-marked trail that leads to Krishnabai temple. It is not visited much by tourists and is isolated but it provides a most exquisite view of the river Krishna

πŸ™ Blissful πŸ™ What a beautiful place ❀️😍 This πŸ™ Lord Shiva Temple is situated near famous Mahabaleshwar Temple. It's Pandav Kaalin Temple & do not have any our electricity πŸ”Œ lights inside the temple so it's completely dependent on sun light β˜€οΈbut it's really looking nice when morning rays β˜€οΈ just lay down on temple & Lord Shiva, trust me you will never forget this moment in your entire life πŸ˜β€οΈπŸ‘Œ View of Krushna River from here is breathtaking πŸ‘ŒπŸžοΈ Well maintained & clean area also the path from road is well constructed so if any old age person want to visit this temple they can easily come here & take darshan also on the path they have arranged seating benches so old age people can have rest also anyways the path is hardly 2 minutes walk but still they arrange benches. Very less crowded at least in weekdays you can meditate here if you want to & no one will disturb you πŸ™. πŸ™ God Bless All Of Us πŸ™

Peaceful Haven with Divine Vibes: Krishnabai Mandir, Mahabaleshwar Honestly, maybe I am out of word to describe the mandir but I have tried my best to. Krishnabai Mandir in Mahabaleshwar is a hidden gem that deserves recognition. Situated just 15 minutes away from the main market, this temple offers a serene and peaceful escape amidst lush greenery. The architecture of the temple is truly awesome, showing intricate details and design. Upon entering the main mandir, a sense of peace washes over you, creating a calming sensation. The mandir itself emits positive vibes, providing a cooling effect as you approach it. The breathtaking view from the temple overlooks the starting point of the Krishna River, adding to the overall beauty of the place. I highly recommend visiting Krishnabai Mandir to experience moments of peace and embrace the serenity it offers away from the chaotic world.

This is a one of the older temples of Maharashtra and it is the source of River Krishna. Photography inside the temple is not allowed as it is a heritage sites. Outside the temple one can clearly see river Krishna and can cherish wonderful scenic beauty.
