Arguably the best point on this road. Not even "Arthur's seat" beats this in my opinion. The reason I give such a statement is simply because of less tourists. This point gets ignored easily and that's the best part. There are proper steps leading to the point and the views are marvellous. The place looks spectacular if you're visiting during the monsoons. Parking is just outside on road and there are no washroom facilities here.

It's a must visit view point. There's at least 6 breathtaking view points located one near another. Road side parking available. Be aware of monkeys that attack if you carry food in hands. Small food stands available too. It's a great selfi point too.

Castle Rock point is a point famous because Sunny Deol performed a dance in one of his movie in this rock. You can enter here, take a walk to Hinting Point, Echo Point and Savitri point and come out of other side. You can do reverse as well. It is less crowded than other points. There are few eateries here. The walk is good, there are steps to go down and then come up and the view faces Savitri valley.

Castle Rock point is a mountaintop destination offering panoramic views of the surrounding Valley and peaks. The viewing point lies on the road to Arthur's seat point from the Mahabaleshwar main road. This point we found when we explored Savitri point and returned to main road. it is other side of the Savitri point. Savitri point and Castle Rock points are adjacent to each other and beautiful views can be enjoyed here. Best part of this point is it is adjacent to main road and sufficient parking space is available.

Best option to enjoy nature of beauty. I visited in rainy season which was full of fog. Situated in Satara district in Mahabaleshwar town which is full of nature. This area is very pleasant and always cool. There will be nearby points to this Kate's points and etc Snacks options are also available near to this point but be aware from monkeys of you are eating something then they will snatch it. If you are travelling from bus or other mode then you can hire local taxi near bus stop they will show you all the tourist places near by.

I enjoyed visiting this place as well. Missed to take a picture of the rock. The Maharashtra Government has really well managed and maintained these points.

Castle Rock Point in Mahabaleshwar is a serene and less crowded spot, making it an ideal weekday getaway. The reduced traffic on weekdays ensures a peaceful and tranquil experience, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the Western Ghats. While the view from Castle Rock Point is undoubtedly breathtaking, visitors should be aware of the resident monkey population. These playful creatures can be mischievous, so it's advisable to keep your belongings secure and not feed them. An excellent way to visit Castle Rock Point is by taking advantage of the tour packages provided by the Taxi Association. They offer a convenient and hassle-free option for reaching this scenic location. Moreover, the cost of the trip is reasonable and can be even more economical in the off-season. You can bargain with the taxi driver, reducing the usual fare from 620 Rs. to just 500 Rs., making it an affordable outing. The journey to Castle Rock Point is an adventure in itself, with winding roads that take you through thick forests and offer glimpses of the local flora and fauna. Once you reach the point, the view is absolutely stunning. The valley stretches as far as the eye can see, and the hills are covered with lush greenery, making it a photographer's paradise. Visiting in the early morning or late afternoon allows you to witness the landscape bathed in warm sunlight. The cool breeze and the chirping of birds create a serene atmosphere that is hard to replicate elsewhere. It's also an excellent spot for a leisurely picnic, a romantic outing, or a quiet moment of reflection. In conclusion, Castle Rock Point in Mahabaleshwar is a must-visit, especially on weekdays when it's less crowded. Be mindful of the resident monkeys, take advantage of the Taxi Association tour packages, and don't forget to negotiate with taxi drivers for a cost-effective trip during the off-season. The natural beauty and tranquility of this place make it a remarkable destination for nature enthusiasts and those seeking a peaceful retreat in the heart of the Western Ghats.

Avoid to visit in weekend, holidays and peak season. Road is narrow. Heavy traffic on road. Maintain distance from monkey. They will snatch food mobile anything from you. Maintain single lane on road. Avoid overtake.

Calm and picturesque site. Right besides Savitri point. Both are in fact connected through a path passing through bushy and rocky terrain, overlooking breathtaking valley views.

A wondrous place on the cliffs. The place is named after a rock which is present at the point. Must visit during monsoon, if want to enjoy the fog. Or if you want to view the long clear view of the mounts and valleys and rivers, visit on a clear summer day. Visibility is excellent in summers. The point gives a beautiful panoramic view of the Western Ghats and the Savitri river. The point has beautiful greens for shade. Best for taking beautiful images.

The Castle Rock Point, Savitri Point, Echo and Hunting Point are all close to each other. Kudos to the management to build steps and try and upkeep the location. It was cloudy when when we reached Castle Rock point and it truly was surreal when we reached there. The views were breathtaking very less crowd around. We had great time at the point!
