I wanted to go to Zanskar. Once in Zanskar, the photos I saw came to life. Gourav curated the itinerary in such a way that the culture started to permeate: touching Yaks, watching families preparing butter tea and dinner in their typical mud houses, playing with the kids, communicating with getures and smiles, learning in high hills 2500 year old Buddhist temples, watching the monks, sharing a tasty meal with villagers in a remote mountain, and so on. I did Rani Sui Lake Trek with Hippie in Hills and is very satisfied with the approach and team work. Harshal, our trek lead was very passionate and dedicated towards his love for the mountains. Also, I saw my first snowfall on the trek.

Harshal is a very knowledgeable guide and his experience really comes through when taking us through the safest paths in poor weather and ground conditions. They were also very personable and made us feel very welcomed. We enjoyed Harshal’s stories and his meditation moments at the each location and Sheshi’s excellent meals and packed lunches. We did the Parang la trek recently and had a great experience with the Hippie In Hills team. When I first reached them out on Instagram, I knew that I will choose Hippie In Hills. I was in touch with Gaurav about the trek and raised all my concerns. I was impressed that his replies doesn’t sound generic but has an added personal touch in every details we asked. The communication before the trekking was so clear, easy and prompt. Upon arrival, we have diverted our route last minute from Delhi to Manali. Shikha was so helpful responding all our questions without any delay, and ensure that we reached safely to our destination. Shubham was also kind enough to pick us up at the bus station and drove us safely to our hotel in Manali and Kaza. During the trek, the hospitality was beyond our expectation, we felt very safe and well taken care of from the day we arrive until the very end of our trip. The team kept us remarkably well fed and hydrated with delicious meals all throughout. The trek was incredibly beautiful and exceptional, not overrun with tourists and culturally very interesting. Gaurav, Chandra, Jigme acho and Penma acho were absolutely a dream team. We are totally satisfied with the company of the Hippie in Hills team. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Did the Ranisui Lake Trek with Hippie in Hills. It was an amazing experience. The team was kind and very helpful through different weather conditions on the trek. I'd packed a bag that was too heavy & our Sherpa, Harshill, carried it along with his bag till the khachhars could come. And I love how the team leaves no waste behind and has the most motivating & calm spirit. This was my 4th trek with hippie in hills and I hope to do many more with them in the future!

I recently went on a trek to Rani Sui Lake in Manali with Hippie in Hills and it was an awesome experience. The local guide was very knowledgeable about the area and provided great insight into the culture and history of the region. The trek itself was challenging but also very scenic, with scenic views of the Dhauladhar & Pir Panjal range. The Rani Sui Lake was a highlight, it is a beautiful and peaceful place. I would highly recommend this trek to anyone visiting Manali, and especially with Hippie in Hills as they are providing a great service.

Had an awesome experience travelling with Hippie in the hills. If you all are planning to go to the hills and need help with treks, travelling unexplored places they should be the one. We had recently travelled to Sethan with the team and the experience was soo good. We stayed at the best of the places and genuinely experienced being a hippie in the hill. This was my second trek with them and my friend and I were just awed by the way they took care of us! It was way beyond our expectations!! Now it feels like Honey bhai and Harshal bhai are not just friends - but family! The Deo Tibba Basecamp trek is definitely worth it! All kinds of terrain and the open valley at the top (Seri) is just surreal!

My girlfriend and I went on a two night, three day winter trek to Rani Sui Lake with Hippie in Hills and it was an amazing experience! The owner (Gaurav) was so helpful in providing information about various options and then arranging our chosen trek with short notice. The hike was led by an incredibly kind guy called Harshal who went above and beyond to make our trip special. The trekking itself was nicely challenging (particularly day 2 from base camp to the Lake) and the nature was simply beautiful. Further, the food and equipment provided were all spot on. We really couldn't recommend Hippie in Hills more, especially for providing this multiple night winter trek when other companies simply told us to come back in a few months for the real trekking season.

I had a great experience trekking Hampta Pass with Hippie in Hills. The group was small so we were able to enjoy the quiet of nature. Everything from the food, tent, sleeping bag was of great quality and enhanced the experience of being in the Himalayas. Would definitely recommend for future treks.

We did an amazing tour from Manali to the Zanskar Valley and on to Leh by Jeep. Gaurav (the owner) was the best guide we ever had. We can recommend his agency 100% and would love to do another tour with him. Thanks again for this exceptional experience!

I had a wonderfullll experience with Hippie in Hills!! Whenever I visit Manali, Hippie in Hills is my first stop to plan my trip and they have never disappointed me. Last year in Feb, I went to the Hampta Chikka trek and did Snowboarding. I got blown away by the experience and the beauty of the mountains :) This year again in October on my first day at Manali, I just hopped into their office at Old Manali and Gaurav bhai who owns Hippie in Hills suggested planning Beas Kund Trek, he joined us with his team. I must say, it's worth a trek when you reach a point and you see gorgeous mountains all around you, sitting beside the river, having Maggi, hot tea on chilly mountains Having this amazing experience, I also planned a Zanskar Trip during Diwali with them. The journey from Manali to Gonbo Rangjon Peak itself is very adventurous. We stayed a night in Kurgiakh in a cozy mud house hosted by a Ladakhi couple with 2 cute little kids. They cooked delicious momos, namkeen chai, and yak milk chai. People are so kind & content here. Such beautiful memories of this little village, star gazing, and some shooting stars. The best part about every trip with Hippie in Hills is these fellas are super enthusiastic, adventurous, and so much fun, you'll get local pahadi vibes!!! Even if you are a solo traveler, you'll have the best time with them! Gaurav bhai & team, you guys rock!! You are more like a family now :) Cheers!!

Great company and helpful people. They arrange small treks and also do give trekking and cycling equipment on rental. They are always available on phone and have good contacts. I had taken bicycle on rental and the staff was really supportive and helpful. Had a good experience with them.

Taking a trek to Bhrigu Lake with Hippie in Hills was definitely our best decision we took during our visit to Manali. They were very quick to respond to all our queries and have been extremely helpful throughout. The guides were super friendly which made the trek even more special; it felt like a group of friends trekking together. On the last day while returning everyone of us engaged in a snow fight (the girls were the most vicious).Thank you Gaurav, Lattu, Neeraj and all involved for the memories ::) Hope to see you all again soon.

I had already heard so much about Hippie in Hills, even before I went to their office in Old Manali. Super helpful and informative people there. I took up the Beas Kund trek on Gaurav bhai's recommendation. I had an amazing experience with them, met some of the best people, and bugged the super-helpful trek leads there. We went when the weather was extra moody, sunny once, then cloudy with snowfall, next. That made the experience even better. The base camp in Bakarthach is surrounded by Pir Panjal Range and Dhauladhar Range with perfect view (if waether allows) of Hanuman Tibba, Hathi Parvat, the seven sisters and a lot more. The destination has historical importance of its own, but the journey was extremely beautiful too. It was my first proper snow trek, that too in snowfall- so, the adventure was top notch. I'd definitely recommend it to people who have even little bit of trekking experience - not for absolute beginners though. PS: special mention to Lata, Hemu bhai and Rajkumar bhai for feeding us the best food, telling us the best stories and helping a noob like me to complete the trek - thank you!!

This tour left us with memories and experience of a lifetime! From crossing some of the treacherous high passes and glaciers, camping at surreal locations, witnessing the age old traditions at the ancient monasteries, the lifestyle and the culture of the Dard Aryans and to have had the chance to be one amongst the locals - eating their delicacies, an unlimited supply of namkeen chai and the affection of the locals at each of the remote villages we stayed in, this tour will remain close to our heart. The USP of Hippie in Hills for us in this tour was experiencing the local culture. They're a team of energetic youngsters which makes touring with them all the more fun! We had the good fortune to meet Gaurav, who not only helped us curate the entire tour, but also led our tour. His interpersonal skills are top notch and to say the least, he's quite resourceful. My partner and I went on the Rani Sui Trek with Hemu & Swaran from Hippie in Hills and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! Hippie in Hills were very accommodating with our trek booking - we literally were walking around Old Manali the day before checking out the treks available - and we had essentially a private guided trek (with 2 guides, 1 horse-tender, and 2 horses) for a very reasonable price. The trek was undoubtedly beautiful, and the service that our guides provided was absolutely amazing. Hemu & Swaran were also great cooks - and we had no lack of good freshly-cooked hot meals throughout the 3-day-2-night trip! On the last day down, the founder's dad (a friendly and wise gentleman) even drove his personal car to fetch us back to town as the other vehicles were deployed out already. Great service from start to finish indeed! Would definitely recommend them for treks in/around Manali, and am looking forward to treks with them in future :) Keep up the good work Team Hippie in Hills!
