We stopped in there for lunch. It was a little slow in there but it was early in the day.

The only reason why people come here is because Jake's shut down, this place is so disgusting and has no hygiene . This place has terrible service and has the worst staff I've ever encountered ( crazy white liberals ). There is one person there who is a decent bar tender and she is a sweetheart .if you want to see the worst part of Olympia come here. They have fights all the time. It's a dangerous place. I wouldn't tell my worst enemy to go there

Wanted to give more stars. This definitely is a great dive bar! Bartender poured great drinks when I could get her attention from the handsome guy she was talking to. The guy that was taking food orders was lacking social skills!! 🙄

Last night while waiting in line to get a drink, I witnessed how they clean their glasses and I left. They just quickly dipped the glasses in the cleaning solutions for not even a full second and put them back to be used.

Always love playing pool or air hockey! They have more games too, it's always a good time and bartenders are sweet and quick too.

I love this bar. Lots of closed bars in Olympia unfortunately when compared to pre-Covid. This place has wonderful drinks and the staff is amazing. The food is good, Bar food but delicious with a beer. Love all the pool tables and good music played there. Big booths in the front for conversations. The line can get long on Friday and Saturday but always worth the wait. Big thanks to the staff for always being able to laugh while dealing with so many people at once. 😁😆👍👍

Not for the faint of heart or the impatient, but the cheeseburger and fries are excellent when they come, and the staff was very nice. Pool tables worked well.

Poor experience. Went there to play pool 🎱, while cheap ($0.75) it was difficult to get a table, and when we did, not all of the balls came out.

Weird as hell vibes downtown half the time but I feel safe and respected overall in this cultural mecca of downtown Oly. Burger for $10 is a screamin good deal! Cheapest full lunch and PBR you’re gonna find on 4th and prepared correctly.

If you are looking for an authentic “dive bar” experience, look no farther! The 4th Ave tavern has it all, pool tables, cheap drinks, darts, arcade games, air hockey, and more! The atmosphere is rich with characters, both interesting and uninteresting, some with obscure knowledge on mushrooms, and others who are just trying to steal your girl. It’s an interesting place, but I met the love of my life there so I’ll always have good memories.

Visited on 08/09/23 and it was atrocious. It smelled absolutely disgusting, there were huge stains on several tables, they didn’t have the correct balls (somehow) for each table, sometimes we’d put quarters in and only half the balls would come out, or at least several were missing..just an absolute disaster. This place used to be good.

Not too busy for 6 P.M. Thursday. Play pool and had a lot of songs that I pick myself. Food is better than I expected. Really enjoy the Fried Mushrooms. Props to the cook. Felt safe there too. Plenty of room. Plenty of pool tables and plenty of fun. This is Texas Tommy and I am your Oly Critic.

This is my favorite place to play pool! Grungy hole in the wall type of establishment but I always have a great time! Tasty drinks and amazing staff! They are always so friendly and a lot of fun! You can be yourself here free of judgment! Its very popular on the weekends so I try to get there a little early. Great vibes, I love this bar!

I like this place. If you know this place, you probably like this place and if you don't, well, that's not my problem. Lots of pool tables, etc. I enjoyed the 90 or so minutes I spent there.

Came in tonight with a friend after being turned away from the Viking lounge for having a “fake id” because it was up and down. Came in and the server was very nice and checked out or id’s and surprise surprise they weren’t fakes like the bar accused us of having. Played pool for a few hours, had some drinks and overall the feel of being there was way better. Definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a good time and just to have a chill place to have a beer and play some pool! Thanks 4th ave for being awesome and it’s now my favorite bar to come to!

Cash only, lots of pool tables 75 cents a game, air hockey, vending machine, skee-ball. Bartender was great, good music, had a comedy on TV instead of some sports game nobody cares about.

If I could give negative stars I would. I have never felt so racially profiled in my life. Even after trying to make friends with the cook. My husband and I got degraded and harassed the whole 10 minutes we spent there. Ended up leaving our full beers and walking out. Never again. Try the Viking ! Hey owner, learn some business etiquette. Never comment on reviews positive or negative. Business 101 Can’t wait to hear your response.

Based on my experience, came here only for drinks. Everything was accurate. Good customer service. No issues. Would return and recommend.

If ya want to get shanked, this is the most shanky place I have been to. Watch your purse, watch your drinks, watch your partners, go to the bathroom in a group. The drinks are absolutely disgusting. The average age is 21, and this place Def caters to the uneducated in good alcohol and broke crowd. I'm not sure I have ever been in a worse bar. If you are looking for a dive bar, I can't even recommend this place.

I lpve the vibe in 4th it's always fun . The unfortunate thing is you have to always wait a long time to get your drink. But they are always nice. Wish maybe they had an extra bartender on staff but besides that a great place to get a drink and play pool

4th Ave Tav is a staple around here. Cool day crowd. It gets very busy with the “young crowd” especially on weekend nights but it’s also the closest thing to a club we have in town anymore. Lots and lots of space, big smoking section. The food is good, when the kitchen is actually open. Cheap strong drinks . Lots of good pool tables, a whole pool halls worth. Plus lots of other Games.

Nice small hole in the wall joint. Good for a bar hopping experience. Drinks were really really strong. The one long Island had me cringing each sip from the alcohol.

Unless u wanna watch a fight dont come here. Wasnt brotherly and treated me like a stranger. Buyer beware

A fairly good dive bar Sun-Thursday but all the children come out on Friday and Saturday night, where it will remind you of middle school. Bar food is typically available until a bit after ten, especially if it's just fried foods. They have like 136 pool tables and other games.

It was the first time I've been in the 4th Ave in years. It wasn't ever one of my favorite venues back in the day, but it's always been a dependable nightspot in town. I met up with an ex of mine, who was there with an ex of hers. First beer I'd had in quite awhile too.

One of the worst bar experiences I’ve had in Olympia. The bartender in the pink beanie was incredibly slow and rude. Basically incompetent in any real town. She (they?) screamed at patrons to leave through the microphone. Other bartender was trying to keep up with demand so I can’t fault her.

Bartenders are always chill. The customers can be kinda sketchy sometimes. The vibe is ok depending on who's there and what night it is. Either the bouncers blend in very well or security is lacking. Overall a good place, but could be better.

I recently visited this bar and was underwhelmed by the experience. The atmosphere was dingy and uninviting, and the clientele seemed to be on the lower end of the social scale. The drinks were cheap but not particularly good, and the music was loud and unappealing. I won't be returning to this establishment in the future."

Called mid-afternoon to ask about their fish and chips. Whoever answered the phone had to put me on hold to get a price and then when I asked what the meal included, he said he didn't know and that I'd need to "come in and order it" to get my questions answered. Not customer service at its finest. Guess he didn't want/need my business.

I used to hang here alot when l was in my 20's-30's to see live music.. Great times. Looks like that's a thing of the past. Still cold beer & drinks, pool, pinball, etc.

A great place to hang out and meet new people. The staff is top shelf and always treat people with a friendly smile.

i love coming here on the weekend. it’s hard to get drinks sometimes but the atmosphere is so good lol also the guy who checks the ID’s is so hot

The bartender and the cook. We're very polite and kind. Drinks and food were very good. Had a great time with family and friends.

Had a working lunch/meeting there. Bartender was friendly and made sure our pints weren't empty. Burgers were on point. Sad to learn that they don't book live music any more. Great memories from shows our talent has played there.

Amazing bloody marys! Decent hamburgers and basic bar menu. Will definitely be back... For the bartender, Scott, at the very least!
