i was looking through Macy’s at 2pm on a Sunday from this Macy’s shopping for my cousin makeup cause she wanted to start it, this lady comes up behind me from the makeup isle and ask if i needed help i say no. Then she proceeds to follow me around everywhere i went around the makeup isle. i started to get weird and uncomfortable from her following me. another customer asked her a question, she hurry’s up and tells her in a quick answer “no we don’t have that” and processed to look back at me. At that point i ask her how much an item was, she says 16.99 then places it on the counter i say thank you she just gives me a big sigh and still looks at me.

Went to buy a bag and I was ignored. Had to find someone to help me get the bag and wallet. I think they didn't think I could afford it so I was ignored

If I could give this place negative stars I'd give it a (-3) all because my wife and I had just walked in and as soon as we walked in this lady pretending to talk on one of those really old flip phones that clearly hadn't been in service for 30 yrs. Well she began more or less walking on our heals profiling us to be thieves and made it so we couldn't even pay attention to the main goal that BROUGHT us there in the first place. I finally had had it and asked for her name and I repeated this process 6 to 8 time as she pretended like I now didnt exists at all SO I went and got a manager while the NO NAMED WOMEN THAT COULDN'T BE MORE RUDE OR TERRIBLE AT HER JOB went and hid.

Laurie offered a world of help! I was there to buy skincare for my mom for Christmas and she spent a lot of time helping us find the right products! She even got us a box and made the present all nice and pretty for us! She was very joyful and sweet!

I love there black Friday's. I have been a loyal customer for the past 20 years. Every year getting the boys there holiday attire with great sale prices. There toys these years were better prices than Target and Walmart. Be smart shop early. Besafe

The gentleman at the mens fragrance counter was extremely helpful. Very pleasant experience. Thank you Macy's. I'll definitely be buying all of my cologne here now. Highly recommend

Lucy refused to let me pickup my online purchases because I provided a federal government picture id, and not a Washington state drivers license. Apparently she doesn’t understand that Macys accepts government issues photo id for pickup. This was after she ignored me for about 10 minutes while wandering around the department acting busy. I was not able to pick up 2 times now, because the first time the employee was helping another customer, she did offer to call someone to assist but she said the other person “would not come help”

I'm glad they took over the Old Frederick and Nelson and Bon Marche frangos. However my interaction with the fragrance lady was ridiculous at best. I'm assuming it's because they work on commissions. Everything out of her mouth was a complete lie. From when they receive new products. To the different variety of packages and bonus content. To the prices. Everything she told me was dishonest or an outright lie. If you need fragrances and you're going to Macy's in Olympia's Capital Mall, know what you want and avoid interaction with this lady or go somewhere else, which is my future plans.

The staff are great. Unfortunately they didn't have the items we wanted in-store, but the clerk was super helpful and let us know the item was in stock online.

Not at all the Macy's of yesteryear. I don't know how they stay afloat with their overhead but I guess a national name is still a good thing. But it almost seems like it would be a Sears situation in the near future.

Went in to look at watches and cologne. The attendants at both counters were super pushy about wanting to show me things. Telling them I was just looking made them pester me even more. Going around to the other side of their 'island' to look, had one attendant come out from behind the counter to stand next to me. She was standing so incredibly close that it was physically uncomfortable, and whenever I would take a step to the side, she would step even closer.

Got rude response from lady when asking about plus size prom dress. My daughter felt really bad about herself after this incident. Definitely does NOT have any consideration for plus sized girls

It was fun to stroll around and actually got some clothes for me! It was not super busy, and there were enough sections to choose from.

Macy's is my store to buy outfits and shoes, garments, suits, accessories, and more! I love this store because it always has my sizes! 👍👍👍🔥🔥🔥👏👏👏💯

We came in hoping to find school clothes for a 10 year old girl. They had a few extremely overpriced dresses. There was more selection for infants and they didn't even try to have a selection for big kids. Not sure what happened to the huge kid's section they used to have. But at the prices we saw...over 50$ for a dress, maybe i can guess...

The pre-black Friday sales were fantastic. Purchased sweater, ugly Christmas sweater and a fleece vest, ALL three for less than $20!

Hands down best experience with purchasing new matress or furniture. The salesman Richard is the absolute best. So helpful and kind!

No one said hello/greeted me during my entire shopping trip. Where has customer service gone? Also, the lady working in shoe department just stood around and didn’t assist me or anyone else. Super disappointing.

I got my clothes for the dance and thank god it's closes later then others, otherwise I would've been wearing something lame

The store was clean and the sales associates very polite and helpful. Especially Don Johnson II in jewelry. He sold my husband a gorgeous watch and was friendly and nice. He was able to answer every question we had about the watch and went above and beyond.

If there is 0 star, I could give to this Macy store. Very bad customer service as cashiers didn’t want to check out for customers. All of them were acting busy and not even look at customers in store. This is the reason why customers want to shop online and most of Macy stores are closing. Macy have been known a very nice store when I was young but not now anymore.

I was completely discourage with my experience at the cosmetics counter. I went in, because I thought they'd be more helpful and personalized, but eneded up being the complete opposite. I walked back and forth obviously looking for the perfect shade. Got ask if I needed help I said yes I'm looking for my color and then she ignored me. I wasn't sure she was an employee because she wasn't wearing all black like I'm used to. There were about 5 other employees in black but not one helped. I ended up using the Estee lauder qr code to help me find a shade. I even had trouble with that. I know they all saw me ( I'm a tall lady) but not one helped. I finally had to wave on of them down. (They seem to be interested in thier on conversations) and finally checked out. If the cashier had asked me how it went I would have said it was awful. I was on a spending spree and I would have bought alot more if I had some attention. They sure do push that credit card though.

Poor men department I can get better prices and selection of course online. I don't think they really want in store business. Not sure what they're thinking, but l do rate them over the mens warehouse by 1star.

Had to return a vest and was in and out in 5 minutes. I came back for some presents for my wife and found what I needed easily. They have great customer service, but do not bother you too much when you are shopping. I will be back!

Didn't have what I wanted in stock. Clothes were strewn everywhere. Had to dig to look. Changing rooms were clean. Purses and handbags were well organized

Got some excellent help from the salesperson, Kathy...not sure of spelling, I was able to order what I needed online from Macy's and it was quickly delivered. Will look for Kathy when I go back, very professional and friendly service.

Typical Macy's with a lot of variety and usually a good deal or two depending on what you were looking at. Our checkout clerk was friendly and helpful despite being new.

Very little to choose from in mens clothing, couldn't find a simple white cotton button up shirt

I went into Macys to get my make up at the bare minerals counter today. I had the pleasure of being assisted by Larry, she was very professional and answered all my questions regarding all their new products. She made great suggestions and never rushed me or pushed unwanted products on me. To be honest I avoid the mall and in person shopping these days, but when spending $$ on make up I need to be there. I never really get the best customer service at any store anymore in my opinion. Customer service is like a lost art but Larry White was amazing today and I’m very happy with my purchase.

We went here in late August for kids back-to-school shopping. We were planning on making this our primary stop for our 2 young boys (6 and almost 8). The kids section in this store is TINY (like about the size of two roadside espresso stands). There were zero winter jackets, most of the merchandise was summer season still, and they had almost no sizes available in what we were looking for. For the few items we did want to try on we had to walk across the full store to the nearest dressing room which was packed with clothes from the person(s) before. The 2 people working at the counter were friendly and apologetic, but the best solution they had was to go online to find things. We needed up completing our shopping at Old Navy and then at Fred Meyer - where we ended up being very surprised at their assortment and got almost everything else we needed. We know this isn’t the normal experience in Macy’s because we went last year to one at a mall in the Portland area and they had a huge kids section and lots of items for back to school including winter jackets. Boo to corporate for such a sad kids section at this location.

Great selection, always has clean bathrooms, but not enough staff... Had a hard time finding someone to check us out!

I usually like Macy's, but this particular one had the smallest men's department. Selection on underwear was pathetic and the shoe options were horrible. But their clearance racks were stocked pretty good

Retail is changing but customer service is still paramount for the shopper. In my personal experience the folks at this Macy's are friendly and helpful. There are bargains to be had with a bit of effort and the location is easily accessed.

Great store. Sad that criminals just waltz in and steal what ever takes their fancy.

Wonderful department store where you find good quality merchandise for all your needs. Store is impeccably clean and organized. Staff is very attentive to your needs and respectful. Mr. Don Johnson ( really! ) helped us a great deal finding and ordering the two items that we were looking for. We left the store with a smile on our face 😊

Macy's is an enjoyable store and I buy Clinique products there. The clerk who usually assists me was helping another customer so I was assisted by a new clerk. It took longer to get what I came for -she couldn't get the register to work, told me my product was no longer available and was discontinued. I found it among the demonstration items. She then asked a co-worker when did the store start stocking the item again. Turns out it was there all along and was not discontinued.
