I had my first in office consultation with Dr. Barnes today, Nov. 13, 2023. I selected him for my primary care provider greatly in part to his specialty in Orthopedics. I have chronic, occasionally acute lower back issues relating back to military service more than 50 years ago. I was pleased to find quickly that Dr. Barnes had studied my medical history prior to our meeting and was aware of both my complicated record and of recent tests and imaging. Dr. Barnes listened carefully to my concerns, compared new and historic images and reports from other professionals, then proposed a course of therapies which coordinate with other specialists who treat me. I recommend him for these professional practices and his sincere calming countenance and friendly manner.

Honestly I don't know where else to put this but Dr. Marla Calvert is one of the best and most amazing doctors I have met in a long time. She's knowledgeable, easy to talk to, kind and just an amazing physician. I came to her for addiction medicine after bouncing around from doctor to doctor because of financial or insurance problems. It was a constant stress in my life and my appointments were always source of anxiety. I actually look forward to my appointments now. The rest of the facility is pretty great too, pharmacy staff is always kind and super quick. The lab is super quick and easy. Honestly I'm so grateful for Kaiser up here.

The providers are amazing, however the management of Kaiser is causing 81 year old patient with Alheimers to wait months for care. Long waits now every time we go in. I can't even book an appointment with her primary care provider because they have chanded their appointments. I guess after 15 years with Kaiser, to look for another provider.

I came in on a holiday with a foot injury that was really bothering me. I went into urgent care and was seen as quickly as possible and given a thorough exam including X-rays. The staff was as usual competent friendly and respectful. I really enjoy going into this facility whenever I have a medical issue. They’re the greatest in my opinion.

Just make me an appointment, please! I just signed up with Kaiser and am trying to get established with a primary care physician. I selected several providers after reviewing their profiles on the list of doctors at the Olympia location who were listed as available and taking new patients. I then called the listed appointment line to set up an appointment with any of those providers. The recording said that my wait time was going to be 88 minutes. It turned out to be 1 hour and 50 minutes. I then connected with a receptionist located in Spokane who could not find any of the several providers I had found but finally offered, after more than 30 minutes, 2 providers not listed on Kaiser's web site. Total call time: 2h 37min. At this point I haven't decided whether to take my chances or to go back to my previous health plan as the Kaiser scheduling and website appear to be a holy mess. I just modified my review from one star to three stars but really there should be two sets of reviews, one with one star and one with five stars. Once I finally got inside the system I found the providers to be very compassionate, conscientious, and knowledgeable. They have also reached out with phone calls to me from time to time. It is unfortunate that they do not have an efficient and relevant phone system and that the website is not accurate and current with their available providers.

I'd give it a 5, but the premiums are ridiculously expensive. Which is the norm for all medical plans nowadays, but it can't help but affect my rating in a big way. Otherwise, they have been excellent! I love having all the services in one place, all my information is in my online portal making it easy for me to access, the doctors, staff, and volunteers are professional and have displayed great expertise, and they provide you with very useful after care summaries. I was a Group Health member and loved it for all these same reasons, and they are the continuation of it - all my medical records from GHC are still available through my online portal! If it were only affordable and not pushing us to the edge every month, it would be the ideal health care system.

As always, visiting Kaiser as a patient, I received the most excellent caring and thorough care. All levels of staff so supportive, emphatic, caring and made me feel that everything that could have been done was done. I’ve worked and been a patient as well with other healthcare systems, but Kaiser stands head and shoulders above all others.

I really like the people who work for Kaiser. Even if their days are overwhelming busy I am treated with kindness and professionalism. What I do not like is the system tho acquire an appointment. It seems the app appointment system is trying to keep people away from their primary healthcare providers, the lack of a phone number to call to make an appointment also lean toward curmudgeonly appointment system. Once a customer can breakthrough a strange and inconvenient appointment system the experience is a dream

Dr Laumans has always listened to me and tried to get to the root of the problem whether it means tests, therapy or rest. He has been my Dr. For many years. His nurse Erin was exceptional to me today. I was in Urgent Care last Saturday and was very taken care of by all the staff as they observed me for several hours before sending me to the hospital for special tests. All the care my husband and I have had recently recently, as well as over the years, has been above standard by whichever provider has seen us....including surgeons. We are very happy that we have Kaiser for our medical care. Earlene and Rich Whittaker

Don’t rely on their therapists to help you. They’re all booked out months in advance and they claim they can help new people, but they’re booked with over 100 patients. I called for mental health services and I need something consistent. But I was told today, “it’s a first come first serve,” mental health facility. What kind of mental health services is that?! So I have to literally beg to be seen, only to be told I won’t be seen again for over a month. I’m fed up. This is the American health system. Completely falling apart. I’m done with therapists from Kaiser. They’re not helpful. They just take all of your personal information and that’s it.

Doctor Calvert and her staff were amazing. On time and friendly. They listened to my aches and pains and came up with a plan to fix all my issues. I never felt rushed or not listened to. I am glad that Dr. Calvert was there today!! Thank you sop much

First time I had an eye exam at Kaiser Permanente for a new lens prescription… Very pleased with the professional exam - was asked about my health conditions and learned about the current state of my eyes. Quite informative and a pleasant experience. Nice tech, nice doctor. Will go there again next time!

Today was my first day on site at Kaiser in Olympia. I had four appointments. One needed to be adjusted because of my own mistake. Everything was accommodated with efficiency and friendliness. My experience with the specialized staff (including at Reception) was very positive. It’s wonderful having all my data across departments available at a single source. I’m very happy to be here.

I get the best care from Dr. Larson because she listens and gives me a professional assessment. Upon the assessment, health care goal plans are made and are reviewed on regular intervals appointments. If a health care concern arises, I am able to contact Dr. Larson and her team, by email. Or can call and I am attended to by the team. Yes, I am very happy with health care that I get from her and her team.

I was checked in and triaged very quickly, Jenna the triage nurse was kind and professional. Kat, the MA roomed me quickly, was personable, kind, and explained everything well. Bridget, the PA was very caring, gave good advice and had my infection treated quickly. Amber, the RN, got the IV in quickly, explained everything well and took very good care of me. It was a great experience and a great team.

I was in transition from a different insurance provider, and new to Kaiser. I had to get some prescriptions transferred over but the previous doctors insisted I see them first. Without the insurance to do so, I was in a bind. Even though my first appointment with my primary care provider is still a couple of weeks away, they were able to help me get my prescriptions transferred over. Everyone was extremely kind and helpful. I'm looking forward to being with Kaiser moving forward!

The staff was excellent! The doctor was amazing. Very knowledgeable and informative. The wait was a bit long but they were down provider's and we're doing thier best. Just wish they had more comfortable seating in the waiting room. I was there for backpain and just couldn't get comfortable before I was brought back. Thank you Kaiser. I am very happy that I wasn't sitting in the ER at the hospital. I am very grateful for how knowledgeable the doctor was,and how well she treated me.

Friendly enough. Competent. Evidence based medicine. If you live in Olympia, and want your orthopedic surgery done locally, you might need to see Kaiser's orthopedic surgeon to get an 'external" referral, so plan as soon as you know you need a hip/knee (or other) surgery. I had my hips replaced 4 months apart though I would have preferred them closer together. Everything else has been good

Kaiser is so awesome! This senior appreciates their superb care, professionalism and concern for my health! Love the pharmacy whether in house or mail order. ALL my doctors and nurses are responsive, love the online presence for emails, appointments or refills. Efficiency I totally appreciate. I love my Kaiser in Olympia, WA.

Kaiser Permanente for me is the best health place to go. I receive complete services. I have my medications mail to me. The lab is open 7 days a week that is really convenient for me. Now Kaiser Permanente has its urgent care service open 24/7 that is really appreciate. And also the Dr's and all the staffs are exceptionel. And most importantly I don't have any co-pay.

I’m so happy to have gotten to establish care at KP. Dr. Kelly Larson is such a kind, caring, and competent provider. I feel safe in her care. My office visits have been easy to schedule and my visits have been prompt.

My family had to visit Urgent Care two nights in a row for different issues. Both nights we had the same doctor. The entire staff was very friendly and helpful from the front desk, triage, nurses, and primary provider. They listened to our concerns and addressed the issues in a timely manner.

Dr. Powell and her team have always treated me with dignity and respect, while being attentive and proactive to my concerns. Even when I struggle I always seem to leave my doctors office with a smile in my heart. Thank you Dr. Powell and your amazing team!

I got right in and was taken care of as soon I I got in the room. Everything that needed to be done was done right away. No waiting and I was treated like I was the only person there. Very concerned about me. Everyone was so helpful and caring. Made me feel so at ease.

I have had nothing but positive things to say about my 9 plus years as a Kaiser patient. Kaiser continues to advance availability to contact our doctors and/or to get direct care. Everything from urgent care, getting labs quickly, new and interesting ways to have appointments with a doctor without having to leave the house. Kaiser also helped me with my recovery from my stroke. They have been there every step of the way in anyway that I needed them.

All staff (sign in staff, nurse & doctor) were genuinely interested in helping me get the medical attention that I needed. Easy experience. They also checked to be sure I was up to date on all my vaccines. Recommend them highly!

Love Kaiser, especially Dr. Ferrar! She’s one of the best primary care physicians in Olympia, and her kindness is amazing. Her staff is a definite reflection of the professional atmosphere she provides.

I hate kaiser. I have had the worst experiences there with my curent doc. Yesterday Dr C was absolutely awesome! What a wonderdul doctor. She listened , she was kind. I didnt feel judged. I didnt feel like i needed to hurry up and get out. I was leaving kaiser but i will stay for another year and see how it goes. This doctor changed my mind. I didnt cry when i got in my car due to frustration. I didnt have a panic attack. I just felt like i was talking to..my mom or aunt. She was that comfortable for me. I was going to call before i got a survey. Dont let dr calvert go!

I go to Kaiser on Lilly road. It's a great place doctors really listen to everything I had to say. I had multiple tests done at the same day. Little surprised they're EKG machine is not Bluetooth yet. Still old school but the rest of it was great.

At 72, this was my first iron infusion so all I knew was what I found on Google. Heather Michelle and February 5 with vivid blue eyes were my nurses. They explained the process and I had the test infusion and after about 20 minutes later I got the full infusion. They checked on me like mother hens, we discussed the wisdom of Megan Trainer and the philosophy of our current philosopher, Taylor Swift (haters gotta hate). We laughed, I read, they monitored and I left. It was fun and I like fun.

Had an eye check with Dr. Mueller today. Both she, and her tech, Amy, were great. Very welcoming, listened carefully and answered clearly and concisely. I learned some good and quick tips for the issues I brought, and felt well cared for. Recommend highly, without reservation.

My daughter received excellent care at KP OLY Urgent Care today. RN Steve was kind and worked quickly to get her a room, RN MaryLou provided compassionate care throughout our visit. Dr. Abdulkhader kept us informed at all times of what was happening and the next steps in the process. MA Sarah was patient and gentle with a challenging blood draw. Seth and Helen in ultrasound kept my daughter comfortable and engaged while they worked. This team supports their patients and each other seamlessly! Thank you for once again providing amazing care and grace to our family.

Every person (every) I interacted with was amazing. I had a lot of questions, and they had answers. I messed up self check in, and the person that helped me figure it out was genuinely kind. The intake nurse is always very kind and makes me feel instantly at ease. Dr. BMW is by far the most prepared and informative doctor I've ever dealt with. His follow up notes should be the gold standard for how they are done. I find myself rereading them days or weeks later and having "oh that's right moments" when I read things he wrote that I'd forgotten about. Lastly, my blood pressure was lower at the facility today than it was at home. You know you've had a stress free visit when that happens. Keep up the great work.

Came in today for my appointment for my arm. I came in and was greeted right away. I was helped and assisted at the service desk and was seen right away, so I didn't have to wait long at all. The nurse and the doctors level of expertise was amazing and very up to par for my needs. They knew what they were doing and very knowledgeable about my concerns. They were also to pull my history from my California records from the California Kaiser Permanente. Everything and my entire visit was wonderful. I'm so glad to be back with Kaiser. A+++ patient satisfaction :) Also the medical office is very clean and up to date :)

A perfect appointment would involve miracles. None this time so 4 stars. We got a lot done. Michelle and Dr Larson are good at their jobs. I felt heard and seen. Waiting in the exam room for a stretch was a chance to dive into Alec Clayton’s Olympia based novel Teacher, so no problem.

I had an appointment with Dr Nyland for a foot problem! The quality of her service could not have been better. She took time to answer my questions and explained what to do to help my toe heal. The X-ray technician was friendly, quick and helpful. My whole experience was supreme!

I had such an amazing experience with Hailey and Dr. Thomas. Both of them made me feel so well informed and cared for. They answered my questions with care and explained processes with me that I was unaware of. I have high expectations going forward and absolutely believe that both Hailey and Dr. Thomas will meet and exceed those expectations.

I have been begging for help from the medical community for my debilitating chest pain for YEARS! It got to the point where I was screaming in pain. Did the ER do anything for me? They gave me something to mask the pain and discharged me, because I wasn't actively dying. I've been in and out of urgent care and the hospital and I've seen multiple doctors. The ER suggested an endoscopy. I need a referral for that. I can't see my doc until late August (my doctor is fabulous, just incredibly busy and doesn't have time for her patients). I can't get a referral without seeing her. I'm STILL IN PAIN! So, I did the only thing a desperate person could do. I went back to urgent care. Did I have to wait 4 hours? Yes. Worth it! They listened to every word that came out of my mouth. They CARED that I was suffering. They were so kind. I was absolutely frustrated and at the end of my rope so I was a little snappy. They responded with kindness, compassion, empathy, and care. And guess what? I got that referral. Every time I go there, I feel heard and cared about. Nothing negative to say. Nothing at all.
