Increasing from 1-3 stars since Dr. Mvundura is truly amazing and the best OBGYN I have ever had. The staff needs serious improvement though. I just called to ask if they were taking new patients since the St. Pete’s ER diagnosed me with an ovarian cyst that may be contorting at times. So…since this is a providence obgyn office it made sense to me to book an appointment with them since they would have easy access to the ultrasound records from the providence ER. I was told that yes they take new patients with a referral from their primary physician only. What kind of archaic rule is that?! I asked why a woman would need permission from their primary to see an OBGYN. They said because they are a specialty office, therefore for billing. Um yes, all OBGYN offices are specialty however, they don’t require referrals from primary docs because all women need an OBGYN. Just like you don’t need a primary doc referral to see a dentist. I would have moved on after this red flag but my condition could turn life threatening so I had to play along. I got permission from my male primary to see an OBGYN there. Thankfully my primary doc lives in the 21st century and isn’t a cave man. I’ll be sure to bring a note from my husband as well just in case I need to discuss any birth control options. 🙄 This place will need to be freaking amazing for this review to improve, or come up for a better explanation as to why women need permission to see an OBGYN. Very disturbing archaic and misogynistic policy for a women’s health clinic.

My appointment was with Dr Currie, however they called me the day of and asked if I could come in at 1pm instead of 2:30pm. I gladly agreed not knowing they were switching me from the MD to the PA-C after I waited over a month for this appointment. Could have saved myself this horrible experience had I read the reviews first. This is obviously a common practice for this office and I will never go there again. Now I have to wait another month for a provider and pay another copayment. They get -5 stars from me -⭐️-⭐️-⭐️-⭐️-⭐️ Please save yourself the disappointment and go somewhere else. Don’t trust their medical care.

After I received an appt they called me a day before and told me I have to see somebody else. The next day I called to get an appt with my original provider and they told me I have to wait 8 weeks for another appt. after they talked to the provider. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. Medical care can’t be great, because they are not compassionate and caring.

We never were given approximate price for PT even thought we kept calling regularly trying to get an estimate. The bill from the first PT visit came as such: 1 hour pelvic floor intro- physical therapy after insurance cost $297.5, pre-insurance $446.00. 8 visits are prescribed... My problem was psychological and worked itself out without any medical help. I had to reduce my stress level. The visit was not very helpful because it brought a lot of anxiety instead and caused me to get very sick after. I give it 3 stars only because I liked kindness of the first doctor I saw there and PT person seemed nice as well. But I found the bills to be expensive for my wallet.

Waited 10 weeks for an appointment. The staff is very nice but the doctor was condescending and did not answer my questions. I switched insurance so I could get proper care elsewhere.

Dr. Mvundura is amazing. Everyone else, not so much. If you're lucky they will pick up the phone when you call. Wait times in the waiting room are atrocious. I do not recommend.

What an awful place. Very rude. I waited in the waiting area for 2 hours and then they took me back and told me i had a wrong appt then the lady doing pr-registration treated me like an inconvenience. She made it a point to make sure I knew i was an inconvenience and it was all my fault she kept telling me to be quiet because she needed to finish filling out the stuff on her computer. Its too bad theyre the only OBGYN office to work with St Peters.

Takes a long time to get an appointment but the doctors are really kind and knowledgeable, they really showed me a lot of care and support. They are truly interested in the individual, at least that was my experience.

Had my appointment with the male physician, and it was the worst medical appointment I’ve ever had. Went to be seen for a cyst, and he didn’t believe I had one until I squeezed it myself, releasing a mass of fluid to prove I wasn’t lying. I was swabbed painfully twice without warning, Then was told that he didn’t know what was wrong, and to come back if it returned. Unprofessional, painful, and a huge wast of time and money.
