Hanscom Park

Park

👍👍 The lake was frozen and the trees bare with no leaves but today was 47 degrees and there were children playing at the playground and people walking their dogs...beautiful big park. Clean and inviting. Always worth going there no matter what season. People often mention park, dogs, playground,

Wish the place was as nice as it used to be. Where are the flowers? Why aren't the park benches painted? Lots of improvement needed.

This park has a pond, tennis court, large playground, dog park, walking paths, a rentable pavillion building w/restrooms. I go to Hanscom Park for the disc golf course. It is a 9 hole course, and every hole is a par 3. It has a good variety of different terrain and obstacles. And you can throw 2 rounds (18) holes in around an hour to an hour and a half. I really enjoy playing on this this course. It's nice to look at albeit for one issue. Some of the community that live around the park, walk by the park and use the park, seem to be okay with using it as a trash can. There is constantly litter spread throughout the entire park. The person that trims the course just mows right over it all. I pick up trash as I go, but it never seems to have an impact. So this is the reason I gave only 3 stars. If not for this problem, it would be an easy 5 stars for me.

Wonderful trees. Nice trails and a dog park. It can be busy on the weekends. Great place to watch the leaves fall. Peaceful in December.

I love Hanscom Park, the lake is cool, plenty of sidewalks, a nine hole disc golf course, and dog park. Just watch out for geese

Nice place to bring your dogs. There's a small dog area and a big dog area. There are also a couple of lagoon where ducks swim. If you have young children, there is also a playground available for them to have fun. Hanscom Park is a very family friendly location to go to for having a nice Sunday afternoon among family members and for meeting new people. Looking forward to visiting the park again next Sunday afternoon.

I enjoy the playground and secret places. I don't like the litter or Frisby golfer that act like they own the whole place.

It's got an awesome dog park with drinking fountains for the dogs. They have 3 different fenced in areas for different size dogs. Clean and nice area.

My son and I love it here. The main complaint is the amount of trash is absurd so we take trash bags and fill 2 big ones with trash in hopes to make it more appealing to others!!

Beautiful old park but as always Jean Stothert and her do nothing/pay for nothing way she runs this city has left the park somewhat neglected and as with EVERY park in town EXCEPT the one near her house the public restrooms have been shut down

There are probably several dog parks in and around Omaha but this is where my little bud loves to go. He is my Emotional Support Animal so he deserves the happiest place he wants. It doesn't matter the breed, size or whatever he takes all comers. Hanscom (dog) park is all this and much more. There are three different sections, small dogs, all dogs and large dogs. We use all three. Since we live in an apartment he really needs a place where he can run to his heart's delight. For those dog people you can't beat Hanscom Park. I only have one suggestion. The gates separating the three sections at the bottom of the hill are pretty easy for small adventurous dogs to cross from one side to the other. Perhaps that could be fixed in the near future.

Great park. The kids love the playground and the disc golf course is great for beginners and those that just want a quick 9 holes.

Picnic tables available to eat your take out food from the nearby tasty establishments. It is hilly so we're sturdy shoes.. I'm not sure if there are public bathrooms. I didn't see many tables in shady areas.
