The hotel itself is charming and in great shape. The neighborhood is a little dodgy and the parking situation isn't ideal as the hotel doesn't have dedicated parking and most of the street parking is reserved for government vehicles only due to the proximity to official buildings. My walk from the parking garage next door was pretty uncomfortable as the paint is peeling off the ceilings, the elevators barely work, and some of the denizens seemed keen on eyeballing me. Also, the note on the elevator about constant break-ins to vehicles wasn't comforting. The lack of refrigerators and ice machines on the floors is a kind of 1-2 punch and would prevent me from wanting to do a longer stay there. The staff is friendly both at the front desk and in the restaurant. The restaurant's hours are also a deterrent to a return stay as it's not open for lunch and the kitchen seems to close early. When I returned one night from another function and was hungry, I needed to DoorDash some food as there is NOTHING to eat anywhere nearby. In the morning, the breakfast was good and portions were generous. No complaints about the quality at all. In order for me to seriously consider this hotel in the future, I would like to see the food situation in particular addressed. Also, in-room refrigerators without having to ask is a basic requirement in this price category. Same for ice, especially when there's no fridge. All in all a pleasant stay but I feel like these limitations make this hotel less than ideal.

We were so excited to stay at the Peregrine to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The hotel is beautiful and classy, and the location seemed ideal. The rooftop bar is nice but a bit small on a busy evening. However, actually sleeping was another issue. I had read reviews that said the rooms were very cold, which I'm okay with - I'd much rather be cold than hot at night. It seems they either don't have great control or have over-corrected, because our room was sweltering, no matter that the thermostat was set to 64 degrees. The air coming out of the vent was not very cold, and the thermostat was directly below the vent, on the other side of the room from the bed. Neither my husband nor I could sleep until about 3 in the morning, after we got up to take cold showers to cool down. We slept on top of the covers because it was so hot in the room. I am a frequent traveller for work and a Hilton Diamond member, and I have to say I have never experienced this magnitude of temperature control issues before in any hotel - much less one we paid so much money for. The hotel can be lovely and welcoming, but if you can't get a good night's sleep, you've missed the point. I'm grateful we only had one night here and would skip it until they can address these room temperature issues.

Let me start with the positive. This is a very cool hotel. The location is superb, the rooms are beautiful, the rooftop bar and lobby lounge are great. I stay at Hilton properties more than I stay in my own home. I travel for work on a weekly basis and completely understand rude customers and the toll that takes on employees. That said, I try to be overly friendly because of how many jerks there are in the world. This staff (almost everyone I interacted with) were not very friendly. I took my first vacation in almost a year (road-trip through the Midwest) and I expect a friendly smile and it fell flat. While checking out, I asked how the gentlemen how he was doing and he replied “I’m awake”. The pepper shaker in the lobby was on the pour setting and a pile went all over my breakfast, the bartender on the rooftop bar didn’t seem like he wanted to be there, the young lady checking me in didn’t offer us our waters or snacks for being Diamond members (I didn’t ask because usually the nicer hotels have the water in the room already). It’s the little things that make an impression and a best in class experience. It’s not enough to meet expectations, in this day and age you need to exceed them.

Front desk: no one around at check in at 4 in the afternoon. Had to ask the bartender to locate someone after waiting nearly 10 minutes. Room had clearly not been vacuumed, shredded candy wrapper pieces all over the floor and also in the night stand drawer. (See photos). Carpet had a large stain, approx 12” diameter. Makeup from a previous guest was on the bathroom counter and on the base of the magnifying mirror. Stains on the bathroom wall behind the trash can. I brought this to the attention of the front desk within 30 minutes of arrival. Several maintenance issues: the bath faucet was about to fall off the counter it was so loose. Wobbled all over the place. The shower stall sliding door handle was very loose and about to fall off. Dining: the Reuben was very good. Fries were mediocre, at best. The smoked Old Fashioned was fantastic. Live music, solo artist was very pleasant. Loud enough to be heard, quiet enough to talk over with yelling. At checkout, 2 men who clearly did not have rooms at the hotel (listened to their conversation with the desk person) headed to the elevators and up to who knows where. Clerk was not able to print me a receipt. I mentioned again the cleanliness issues and added the maintenance concerns to the desk person.

Service was amazing except during the late night. The front desk guys were more concerned about watching videos on their phones. Rooms are very nice and big but there was no mini-fridge and the TV was hard to figure out. Most channels were missing. Over all a good hotel just make sure your room has everything working in it.

First, the hotel is lovely. I liked the decor; I liked the whole vibe. The bed was comfortable. Bathroom fixtures were nice. Fitness center was well equipped. I was able to walk to multiple restaurants for dinner. The roof top bar was fun. However, there were a number of annoying issues. Nothing awful, but enough to make the stay a little less than ideal. Hot water in the shower was hit-or-miss each morning. The TV did not work for the 4 days I stayed (I was offered free parking to make up for this). They seemed short staffed. I had to call down to the front desk multiple times-- most of the time no one answered.

The hotel was nice but the customer facing employees(particularly the front desk workers) were not good nor helpful. I was seriously disappointed with their service. We were celebrating our anniversary and my wife’s birthday and our booking agent from Amex told the hotel these things but the hotel didn’t do anything to help us celebrate—they didn’t even say congratulations or happy birthday. Usually, “boutique” hotels do nice things for people celebrating. Also, our room didn’t have hand soap or body wash and the shampoo/lotion provided wasn’t what I’d expect from a supposedly great hotel. Overall, this hotel isn’t worth its inflated price in my opinion. It’s certainly not bad. The rooms are wonderfully decorated and the restaurant/rooftop bar are cool but it’s not worth the price, especially in Omaha.

*update: I received thank you note from the property for my positive review. But if they read the review they would see negative comments and learn that there are still issues that need to be addressed. For example of the promise of reward points under my account that never occurred. I would think that they were going to address something like that. Perhaps now they will. I will say they are committed to the falcon type decor. I feel like to achieve this they simply made everything variations of brown. Brown permeates the place almost to the point of ridiculousness. Actual falcon bass decor is very sparse. There's a little falcon on the headboard of the bed. There's a statue of a falcon in the lobby that's not very big. The restaurant and bar have names of the loosely falcon based. Oh and if you don't get an outside view, you're going to stare at a 4-story wall upon which a falcon is painted and perhaps by a group of high school students at that. The first room they provided had no hot water. When I advised the front desk of this they mentioned a problem due to construction of the property was some of the rooms have their hot water shut-off. The front desk was not aware of any list showing which rooms had no hot water and this is obvious when they randomly chose from the available rooms and again no hot water in that room either. The third room provided did have hot water that was much smaller than the first two. Instead of having a view to the outside, my view was a 4-story tall stone wall with a bird painted on it. Now granted there were pigeons between me and that picture and they provided a moment of entertainment. The sales lady who is at the front desk promised me I would get reward points added to my account because of the hassle of having to move to three different rooms with no hot water. She took my information but I never received the points. There's no pool here. The property was very quiet and pretty clean outside except for the floors. It appeared the floors had not been vacuumed for an extended time. Summary: - Perhaps a temporary situation, but where do you get hot water or not is a crapshoot. - Empty/unfulfilled promises - No pool - No free breakfast If you swoop in on this property you might find it doesn't soar like some others. At this price point, it's probably best that you nest somewhere else.

The Hotel is really lovely. Comfy beds are always a hit with me. However, IF I am going to pay $300.00 a night for a room there had better be some serious hot water and water pressure. I got neither. Also, how hard is it for someone who is cleaning the bathroom to spray some Tilex on the disgusting grout and get rid of the mold growing in the shower? Its a really nice looking hotel but the items mentioned turned me off and I won't stay there again. Sorry guys.

I used the Hilton App as I have in the past thinking there may be some benefits to Loyalty. The points are fine, but what I'm looking for is a long term lodging relationship. I booked a room, with a King Bed, with a special view. When I checked in, I made clear to the clerk what I had reserved and paid extra for. I clarified I was not picky, but wanted the upgrade I paid for on the Hilton App. He said, I don't know which rooms have a view or not (really, when you advertise for upgrades on that basis) but if you don't like this room, come back and we can try to find you another room. So I took my bags to the room. It was on the second floor with a first class and up front view in the building right next to us. Sheesh!! Pay attention to the Peregrine View. It is a view of the building next door with a painting - not a view of downtown.

The hotel was in a great location of the city near many shops & restaurants within walking distance. The hotel staff was extremely nice and helpful. My colleagues and I enjoyed our time there. I really appreciated the detail to the woodwork, tile work, and lighting fixtures. It gave class to my room. My room faced the inside which could’ve been a poor view, but there is a mural painted on the wall with lights strung across which added a pleasant feature for what could be boring. The rooftop lounge/bar is nice with a great view of the city, but does need more stools and chairs to accommodate guests. There were some stools mounted to the floor at the bar, but apparently there were some missing because they broke away from the floor and never got replaced or repaired. The shower was nice having dual heads. Unfortunately the shower doors were not properly installed which allows water to flow onto the bathroom floor. I wouldn’t doubt there would be some issues later of water dripping onto the floors below causing ceiling stains and possible mold.

I had high hopes for this hotel. First off, the African American lady that checked us in last night was super funny and nice. Extremely wonderful check-in service. Keep in mind no fridge or microwave, but we had a cooler with ice in it bc I have no clue where the ice machine was hiding. The shower had zero pressure and it took over 7 minutes to get any warm water, which was Luke warm at best (I stopped looking at the clock and waited for my husband to wake up and get in the shower): he likes cold showers and that’s what he got. After traveling over 500 miles in a day, all we wanted was a decent shower, plus the bed was lumpy and hard to sleep in. Not worth 200 bucks a night. Upon checkout, I waited and waited for someone to be at the front desk. I’ve been in hotels with baskets for keys and if they don’t have one you have to checkout with a person, so you are not charged for checkout time. Zero basket. Long wait with no one around. I travel a lot and this is the second time Hilton disappoints. I’ll stay elsewhere like the Marriott. 3 stars bump up bc of the lady last night or it would be two. She gets 10 stars.

Very friendly staff, but they were incredibly understaffed. There are also no irons in the rooms. Upon requesting one and calling twice to check on its progress over the course of almost an hour, I finally called and told them to forget it. It is also like a treasure hunt to track down an ice maker in the hotel. In the end, I went to the bar and had them fill our ice bucket. Parking is also in serious need of improvement. The garage is across the street and feels sketchy, in addition to being overpriced for a paying customer of the hotel. Furthermore, the hotel is a long way from any of the fun downtown sites. All of that said, the rooms are beautiful and the hotel has been gorgeously restored in a way that balances historic and modern very well. The breakfast was also delicious, if a bit overpriced.

Parking garage can be tricky to enter with 1 way street. Warning; hotel guests can only park in spots with signs that say for motel guests. All other unmarked spots are for government employees. Nice bar, doesn't take cash, good drinks. Good service. Room was nice, hot water took a long time to get to shower. Would recommend if it's in your budget.

I booked a room in this hotel as a gift to my wife, we were going to a concert in the Omaha Orpheum and the hotel was within walking distance, which is the main reason we stayed here. We are small town folks and my wife was terrified we wouldn't be able to find a place close to the venue. I booked through Travelocity, for a price that turned out to be higher than it should have been. (I advise you check closely when using a third party booker.) The room wasn't ready when we arrived at 4 p.m., but they did get it ready fairly quickly. The room was nice, but quite small. When we tried the tv, no tv. It appears Dish was down and they wouldn't be there until Monday. No internet, no water glasses so we had to use the coffee cups. Just enough towels, and if you have need for one for your hair and one for your body, no luck. The snack from the restaurant was delicious, but pricy. The stay was not impressive for the type of hotel it's supposed to be and the gift was not what it should have been. When we tried to talk to a manager when we left, none was working, but they "would reach out to us". Never happened. I called them to see if they could do anything for us to make up for the less than nice stay, but they front desk manager said since we booked through a third party, they couldn't do anything except comp our snack and parking. I agreed to this. Got my credit card bill and not only had they not comped the meal, they also charged for the room, which I had already been charged for by Travelocity on the same card! Called billing manager, he was on another call, left a message, no returned call. Called the next day, no answer from the billing manager. The meal was good, the $28 dollar drink was ok, but not worth the price. The location was great for the venue, but parking wouldn't have been a problem. My bad decision there. Service from the managers is the biggest problem, plus they billed us improperly and lied about the comping of some of the other things. The room wasn't furnished with what you would expect, (cups, towels) and unless you want to wash with two tubes of conditioner and no shampoo, that's how the story went all night. NOT a 5 star stay by any means!

Worst check-in service. Arrive around 10 pm at night. The 2 gentlemen at the front desk were the worst. Felt like checking into a cheap motel. No courtesy whats so ever. They never acknowledged my Hilton honors diamond status. Didn't provide any inside information about the hotel ( upstairs bar hours, restaurant at the lobby, fitness center information). No courtesy water bottles were provided. Shortly after arriving at the room, I need ice to make a drink. When downstairs and asked the 2 guys at the from for the location of the ice machine. One of the guys just pointed towards the fridge for me to get the bag of ice. Other than the check in process everything went well. The rest of the staff was nice and the room was great. Excellent location also. I would definitely go back, however, I ll try to arrive earlier to avoid the late night front desk staff 👎🏽.

Easily one of the most unique and elegant hotels I’ve stayed at! No detail was spared in the renovation of the historical building that the hotel now occupies. Very clean rooms. Parking was very easy at the Tower Park garage right across the street; felt secure. Location was great as well, only about a 10 minute walk to Old Market area, but quiet at night. Rooftop bar was a relaxing environment to end the evening.

Good hotel with great staff. The room was great, even though the closet was a little small. They have a roof top bar which is great and and a restaurant down below. The restaurant food is ok... there are alot of great restaurants around and I wouldn't make this place my first choice. The drinks are good. The location is ok, it's a little too far from the main strip to consistently walk to the heart of downtown. The best part are the amazing staff. The are really friendly and quick to help. I will definitely stay here again but if I do I will drive.

This place was full of extremes. Gorgeous decoration, and then the bathroom didn't have any hand soap. Beautiful, welcoming lobby, and then the front desk employee had a uniform that was too shabby for a motel, which knocked me out of my daze on arrival. The handle for the shower broke off. The clock was broken. The handicapped assistance for the front doors didn't stay open long enough for entry. I could go on. It just wasn't worth the price and isn't worthy of the stars it has.

The hotel lobby and rooms are absolutely stunning, and the front desk staff are friendly. That’s about where the positive review ends. The bathroom counters and shower were not clean. There was visible orange mildew growing in the shower, and there was no hot water. Fortunately the hotel made it right, but we were not informed that we would be staying in a room without heat or hot water when checking in. We were told that there were issues only after asking about why there was no hot water when going to take a shower. They also told us that there were no other rooms available to move to, but we found that we could still attempt to book another room online for that same night. Not a good look.

Wonderful staff, good food. The standard room is not designed for 2 people. Only one chair in our room. Looks cool, but not comfortable. I will book the Nest suite next time so my partner and I can both feel comfortable.

I love this hotel! It is historical & unique. The room was clean & adorable. High end & comfy. We got a room with view of inner mural which was very neat & had cute string lighting. The shower was large & luxurious with amazingly hot water. AC worked wonderfully for it being over 100° F. The lighting & furnishing were very beautiful & good quality. They have earlier check in & later check out then most other hotels in the area. The location is downtown very close to the old market but I prefer to be closer as I'm lazy 😆 I didn't love that there was very little loading/unloading zone parking in front of the hotel, no valet parking & we had to park in parking garage across the street. I also didn't realize that there were no microwave or mini-fridge in the room until arriving which was a bit of a let down because we had leftovers from dinner 👎 All in all, GREAT hotel! Would highly recommend!

I have stayed in a LOT of hotels, this is quite possibly my favorite ever. The hotel theme of the Peregrine falcon is present everywhere which I loved. The rooms are gorgeous and well appointed in addition to being clean and well maintained. The air conditioner worked perfectly which many of the hotels I've stayed in recently seemed to be struggling with. My only complaint was when I tried to call the front desk from the room at 9PM to get an extra towel it rang over 25 times with no answer. I thought no big deal I'll just call down and get them in the morning. 7AM the next morning I had the same experience. There was also a placard in the room that stated to call the front desk for ice delivery as there was no ice machine accessible so this was frustrating. When I called the front desk from my cell on the public number at 7:15AM I received an answer promptly and the extra towels were sent up as requested. I let the person answering the phone know that I had try to call down twice and let it ring an extremely long time with no answer. She then checked the house phone and stated that the night attendant had put it on silent and she didn't notice that at shift change. She was very apologetic which I appreciate. It's frustrating that a night attendant would have had the phone on silent all night though, so any guest who tried to call the front desk likely received no response just like I did. The in house breakfast was surprisingly good for a hotel breakfast and the server was very friendly and knowledgeable about dietary restrictions. If only we didn't experience the service issue I'd give this place a glowing 5 stars! I'd definitely stay here again though and hope that Hilton addresses the service phone issue.

Training trip with a group of guys. We came in from Colorado and wanted to avoid the holiday inns etc. Peregrine is a beautiful place. Overall I really enjoyed the stay but a few small details were off. The rooms should have a mini fridge no question about it. The water pressure was extremely weak and water softening system made rinsing off very difficult with such low pressure. Like most hotels the pillows suck. Honestly no major complaints. This place was paradise compared to a Holiday Inn Express. I would stay here again.

First, the hotel is just cool! It’s unique and I love the steampunk, speakeasy vibe. But, icing on the cake was the night auditor who was manning the front desk at the time of my VERY early departure (4:15a) to catch my 6a flight. She was so kind and clearly cared about my well being; she walked me across the street to the elevator in the parking garage so I wasn’t alone since I had shared that I was uneasy (not because of the area but because I’m a female and it was the middle of the night in a parking garage). When I drove over to the hotel to pick up my bags and drop the parking pass (I was made aware of the drop box at the exit of the garage), she met me outside with my bags. Again, another personal touch that was completely unexpected. She asked how my room was, food, etc. and also shared some fun facts with me about the hotel (the resident Falcon) and invited me to visit again. Customer service is often lacking, but not here and I sincerely appreciated it!

This place is gorgeous - best night sleep I've ever had at a hotel. The bar and common areas are swanky and the rooms somehow escalate that. The rooftop bar and lounge area in the lobby are a great place to unwind before you settle in for the night in what feels like the lap of luxury. Would recommend. Parking situation is less than stellar, but that's to be expected downtown anywhere.

Loves this hotel! Sleek and modern. Comfortable beds and I especially liked the shower. The tile in the bathroom is cold and there's not floor warmers like I've had in some hotels but that's probably not the norm. Overall I loved my stay and will be booking again if I am in Omaha.

While our experience was good overall, the housekeeping and front desk was pathetic . Did not greet us, and our room did not have towels to take a shower . We called the front desk and they said they would bring our towels . We were also not informed about checkout , garage parking or room service when we checked in. While my wife and I are only 22 and 23, it is no reason to treat us younger. We paid the same amount as others and the host in charge was unprofessional . She was on her phone and took a long time to respond to us when we checked in. When we finally got towels it was after we went back down to acquire them. When you pay that much it should be no questions asked that ice is not on the first floor in a plastic bag and towels are provided. Otherwise the room was pretty and a nice stay. It would just have been nice to have good quality service and to have been informed about checkout time and basic hotel services . There was also no one there to help with any form of checkout , so we had to leave our keycard at the desk . Just not impressed

Did a digital check in and requested a few things in my room, they were there. The front desk guy was very helpful. The bar closed at 11, we were able to take out drinks to our room. The rooms are beautiful. Very modern, and golden accents everywhere. The shower was cool, the water didn't stay hot in the morning, but my evening shower was lovely!

I stayed here for my first business trip to Omaha and I experienced such wonderful customer service over a small issue on my bill; I was so impressed with staff member Denise that I rebooked here for the following week. I love that each room has a Nespresso machine and the property boasts a rooftop bar and a wonderful menu! I would definitely recommend this property.

Great hotel. Found on hotels tonight for about $130 which was a steal given the quality of the place. The only reason I knock a star is that I showered on a Sunday at 10am and there was no hot water. It was mediocre and chilly in temp, I wouldn't call it warm even. Came back before check out and the water out of the sink seemed hot. Not sure if its a demand issue or they were working on it. I'd still stay here again in a heartbeat, and I'm sure the water thing was an anomaly.

  • 5/5 Matt D. 1 year ago on Google
Top notch. Everything from check-in, to the room, to breakfast & the bar was phenomenal. My only complaint was the severe lack of hot water in the shower. Jeff at the front desk was definitely the highlight of the stay. Friendly, knowledgeable and hilarious! He kept us entertained the entire time. Tyler behind the bar also did a amazing job, especially while dealing with some questionable patrons. Will definitely stay here next time I'm in Omaha!

This is a clean and attractive place. However, our room had no hand soap and when we asked for some we were told, "What ever you have is all you get.". This by the room staff and the front desk. Other than this it was fine.

Really enjoyed this hotel, rooms are very well decorated and the lobby is as well. Breakfast was great along with the service and they had a nice rooftop bar. We did not have a car so parking was not an issue and it’s a nice walk to the new parks and the Saturday morning market. Took off one star because there was some confusion using my Diamond food and beverage credit.

Poor service at check in. Hot water/ coffee desk is not replaced often. I went to make tea and the water in the dispenser was cold; informed front desk and was ignored. Throw pillows/ pillows with velvety coverings need washing in between guests. They were gross.

Absolutely beautiful hotel. The hotel is clean and beautifully designed. I recommend having breakfast in the hotel; it was quick and the menu options were great. Walking distance to The Old Market and the event center. Rooftop bar had a nice view and decent drink options. Highly recommend.

Overall great experience, most of the staff was friendly. The low water pressure and lack of hot water was disappointing. The guy working the front desk made it seem like asking for a bag of ice was a big request. Charging 4x the price on a busy weekend is egregious though.

As Hilton Diamond, I don't expect to always be upgraded but I certainly do not expect to be downgraded yet this is exactly what happened initially at check in. We arrived at the hotel early, around 1pm, and when I went to check in I specifically said that I knew I was early and the room may not be ready yet. The woman at the front desk said they did have a room ready and checked us in. However, when my husband and I went up to the room, it was clearly not the Falcon View room that we had booked and prepaid for. Instead, this was the smallest room on the floor based on the floor map on the door. I was never given an option of a downgraded room now or to wait for the room that I booked to be ready later. I would have chosen to wait. We immediately dragged our bags back downstairs and I said I was not happy with the room and wanted the room that I had booked and paid for. The woman at the front desk called housekeeping to see if there were any Falcon View rooms near ready (should that not have been her first step rather than just putting me in a lower tier room?) and the housekeeper came down to bring me to see if a room they were just finishing up and restocking would be ok. That made me feel ridiculous and high maintenance - all I wanted was the room that I booked - but I did appreciate the gesture. Not surprisingly, the Falcon View room was significantly larger than the one I was originally given with an additional bench and chaise as well as a larger bathroom. Aside from the poor check in experience, we had issues with the hot water like other reviewers. While we were able to get hot water in our shower, it would vary between lukewarm and scalding hot without adjusting the temperature (I am guessing based on when others were turning their showers on and off). My brother-in-law and his wife were staying there as well with their baby and had no hot water the whole time so I know it wasn't just our room. The bright spot of our visit was Eva who was our server for breakfast on our last day and went above and beyond to accommodate us shortly before they closed. We were in Omaha for my husband's grandfather's funeral so while it's not somewhere we travel to frequently, I am sure we will be back to visit family at some point and I would not stay at this property again.

This may have been one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at. Started with check in and parking. There is one spot out front for you to drop your bags and check in. It is not monitored and cars were parked there for at least the first two hours of our visit. We had to park next door and ended up paying for parking just to check in. We were then given terrible instructions on where the hotel parking was as there are no signs on the street to let you know where to park. We then had to bring suit cases across the road to get back to hotel. The tv was not working and I was told maintenance would look at it but it was not fixed and there was never any follow up(I have seen from other reviews this is an issue). We had to leave the hotel to watch the game we wanted to watch. Game was on a basic cable channel TBS. From what I could tell only local channels worked. Now the kicker. There was no hot water to shower. We let it run for 30 min and it was still boarder line tolerable at best. Add in no water pressure and you have the worst hotel shower experience I have had. . Only two towels stocked in bathroom and no extra pillows. If I was staying more than one night I would be checking out as I could not stay more then one night. I would stay at one of the many other hotels in the area instead of risking it with this hotel.

Stayed two nights recently and had such a wonderful stay. The hotel is beautiful. Delores was so nice and checked in each day to see how my stay was. The chicken sliders in Habitat were awesome and best of all Gio and Solomon the valets were fast and always had my car nice and warm by the time they pulled up. Highly recommend the hotel.
