Came here for the first time in April of 2017 for a seminar with 7 time world champion Paul Nava who was their head professor. From the minute I walked in Ernesto the owner and Nolan one of the main instructors welcomed me and was always welcomed there. I've attended 3 seminars and several classes including the judo class ran by one of my first coaches Judo Black Belt Nick. It's family fun environment, they train hard but they also train smart, the people are always friendly and welcome! Looking forward to making more visits and highly suggest to everybody checking this out!

Phenomenal gym!! A good friend of mine (and serious Jiu Jitsu practitioner) recommended to me that any time I am in Omaha, to check out this gym and he could not have been more right! From the first time I walked in, I was greeted and welcomed in by everyone! Before the first class was done, I truly felt as if I was a part of the gym! Every coach that I have interacted with has been incredible, kind, knowledgeable and respectful! No matter if you are a new white belt or a seasoned black belt, you will find someone not only with a similar skillset but also similar size to you to roll with. This is truly a great gym that is there to help EVERYONE grow in their jiu jitsu journey! If I lived in Omaha, I would eat sleep and breathe Ares! If you are even so much as considering checking it out, do yourself a favor and just do it! You will NOT regret it! Thank you to all the amazing coaches and fellow practitioners who have taught me and rolled with me there!

On a business trip out of town, and this school was the closest school to my hotel. I got lucky because it was great! Clear instruction and welcoming students. I hope I get to come back to Omaha soon so I can roll here again.

All 6 of my kids and my husband train here. They are thorough with technique and the community is next to none. If you take a break, you are welcomed back readily. This is our second family!

Stopped in this morning, attended the 6am class. Nolan the instructor was very knowledgeable and helpful. Introduced me to some techniques I hadn't learned before. I enjoyed the class. Highly recommended.👍

Couldn’t be happier Nebraska BJJ has been nothing short of warm, welcome, and patient as I walked in 2 weeks ago with zero knowledge other that what I watch on TV. Every single person has been way cool and down to taper their style to a level I can roll with. Signing up for a monthly subscription after my 2 weeks was a no brainer. I didn’t want to go check out any other gyms because I already felt like family after one week. On top of that, learning from Nolan and Ryan makes sense. They’re through, patient, and always down to help. Truly good people Really glad I started my BJJ journey at Nebraska Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and am looking forward to growing here. 🤙🏽

My cousin brought me in during my stay in Omaha to give me a new experience as she's been going here for over a year. I immediately felt welcome and it was literally the best experience ever! Never intimidating, although the skill levels vary greatly. Everyone was friendly and helpful. It was challenging (even for this farm girl) but so much fun!!!

I dropped in on a Friday early AM all-levels class while in town for a family event. I really enjoyed meeting everyone and the friendly, laid-back atmosphere at the gym. I definitely felt welcome and had a great experience. I will definitely come back next time I visit Omaha. Thanks for the hospitality and all of you are welcome to visit my school Brazil-021 whenever you are in Chicago. It's a very similar friendly spirit at the school.

In town for work and have been dropping in periodically. Despite only being in about once a week members are learning my name and extremely friendly. Good hard rolls to push myself and even better people to learn with. Instruction is also phenomenal. Definitely will be where I train when in Nebraska!

A Grappler's Paradise in Omaha! I recently had the pleasure of dropping in at Ares BJJ during a week-long visit to Omaha, and it turned out to be an absolute highlight of my trip. The community is nothing short of amazing—warm, accepting, and genuinely welcoming. Nolan and Ernesto, the dynamic duo of instructors, made my experience truly memorable. Their expertise in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is evident, and they have a knack for breaking down complex techniques in a way that's not only understandable but also enjoyable to learn. The depth of their knowledge is impressive, yet they maintain an approachability that creates a fantastic learning environment. What struck me most was the sense of camaraderie within the Ares BJJ family. Whether you're a seasoned practitioner or a newcomer like myself, everyone is supportive, making the learning process enjoyable and stress-free. The positive vibes resonate throughout the gym, creating a community that feels more like a group of friends than mere training partners. If you find yourself in Omaha and have a passion for BJJ, Ares is the place to be. I can't thank Nolan, Ernesto, and the entire Ares community enough for the incredible experience. I left with not just improved techniques but also a bunch of new friends. Ares BJJ is a gem in the heart of Omaha's martial arts scene!

I dropped in to 2 open mats during my trip to Omaha - It's always a little nerve wracking being a girl at new gym but everyone was incredibly welcoming, and the skill level from the Ares folks was top tier. Glad I got the opportunity to roll and will absolutely be back.

As a woman, doing Jiu-Jitsu for the first time this past year, I really appreciate the instructors making me feel comfortable and thoroughly explaining maneuvers on the mat.

Ernesto is such a great instructor!! My 5 year old son loves going! Everyone also cheers for him, and it makes such a positive effect on his self-confidence. Along with the eagerness to learn more. The environment is beyond amazing. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
