My mom, who is new to town, was looking for somewhere to get a perm. After asking for recommendations on the Let's Talk Papillion Facebook page this place was highly suggested. The place looked very clean and was decorated nicely. My mom had a good experience over all but the stylist was very slow taking almost 3 hours for a cut and perm on short hair. The price was awesome though and we will definitely be back.

If I could give this place a -5 stars I would. It does not even deserve the 1 star I gave it. I went in for a “manicure” and “pedicure”. I ended up with uneven nails that looked like a 5 year old painted them. They did not cut off my cuticles, did not shape my nails, or even cut my nails. There was no type of massage done as I was watching the other customers get one right next to me. I paid $60 for them to simply paint my nails! ARE YOU JOKING?! I did not receive a free bottle of nail polish that was stated in BOLD on their websites. I did gel nails and they only went through the light twice instead of three times! Save your money, your time, and your nails and go somewhere else!

I absolutely enjoyed my time at Xenon Academy with my stylist Jasmine S.! She gave me an A-line bob cut, and she did such a phenomenal job, it was as if she has done this cut one hundred times over again! I'm very satisfied and would recommend Jasmine S. to anyone!! Thank you so much!

Jenny M is fantastic! She always slays my hair and makes me feel so beautiful. Highly recommend her as a stylist!! She’s the absolute best!!!

I’ve been so hesitant about getting my hair done for along time after loosing my favorite hair stylist which has been a little over three years now, but Jenny did an absolute amazing job! I have been to Xenon a few times and Jenny has been my student stylist. I have always had unwanted curls….she did a Brazilian Blowout and I was blown away!!!! I’ve had two color appointments and her color has been 100% on point. I could not be more impressed with the quality she puts in to every service she provides.

I never have a bad experience here! Last year I got my hair cut and colored with highlights and this time I got my haircut and styled. They do a great job and get checked off by their professors. At $20, this fits right in my budget. The hair stylists are really nice and the facilities are clean.

New place is nice. My stylist listened and was very nice. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because of the front desk. These group of girls are the definition of unprofessionalism. Pretty sure they were heard throughout the salon, cussing and talking at their highest volume. Otherwise a good experience.

I have gone a few times to have my hair colored. This last time was the longest but the best. Janelle did a great job on my hair. I have a lot of hair. She took her time to make sure everything was even and I really appreciate all the effort she put into making my hair something new 😀

What a great place! I started with just coming to get my hair colored every now and then, and now I come to get monthly haircuts, color, facials and mani/pedis! You can’t beat the prices! Yes, sometimes the services do take a little longer than in a salon, but you have to remember these are students! Students need to learn somehow, but with that being said, I have never had a bad experience! The students are friendly and seem really eager to learn. Also, the gals that answer the phones and the front desk are both professional and courteous, even on busy Saturdays! My son and husband are now coming monthly and love the cool atmosphere of the new barber room! The decor throughout the whole school looks very classy and high end!

Today I was a model for Olivia W. For Amplify Tape In Extensions! Not only did she do an amazing job placing the wefts, she made a seamless blend of shades muse and vixen. This created a BEAUTIFUL naturally dimensional color. Her talent and professionalism by far exceeds the level of student.

I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! My service today was with Ms. Katie. Besides being extremely sweet...SHE CARES ABOUT THE SERVICE THAT SHE'S OFFERING! She did a conditioning service on me and she THOROUGHLY RINSED IT OUT!!! Xenon is the place to go when you're low on money; but, you want to look like a million bucks before taxes!

I had been going here for about two years and for the longest time I couldn’t have been happier with the results. Within the last 6 months however I can’t say the same. My color washes out with every single wash. Even up until I would get it done again it was still washing out into my drain. I’ve noticed that they’re no longer as thorough with making sure the color gets all over the hair. Twice I left only to later notice they missed a piece or two or three… It’s disappointing because I really liked going here for so long but now I’m not ever going to go back. I brought the issues to the teachers and they just wrote me off…I don’t know seems like they’re not interested in quality as much anymore. The picture is from when I washed it after 24 hours of getting it colored.

When I called to make the appointment, I asked the receptionist if she could pair me with somebody who had more experience with textured hair she said, OK I get there I’m paired with a student who barely washed my hair, even though I asked her to wash it three times There’s still so much dandruff in my hair. It looks like it’s snowing on my shoulders then they quoted me a price of $28 for a wash and thermal with a hair mask and when I went to check out they upped charge me to $38. I have to now go home and redo my hair after paying almost $40 for a terrible service. They didn’t even get my hair clean.

Capital is 100% better! And I will not be coming back and I do not recommend Xenon! I have been wanting to get my hair cut/styled I had an appointment with Capital but they had to cancel due to a power outage. I had time off and was looking forward to going and getting my hair done. Anyways moving on I was able to get an appointment at Xenon, first off the lady on the phone when I made the appointment was short and rude with me. Then the girl that did my hair was struggling with the cape and it made it so tight. When I told her she didn't fix it for me. Then when she shampooed my hair the water was freezing. After on the way back to her station the towel fell on the ground. She picked it up and reused it. I only wanted a trim and some curls. She started to dry hair, parting it then says I might need to STAND for my haircut! She asked to get her instructor to verify. They both come over and tell me, I will need to stand for the haircut. I told them I wasn't comfortable doing that and they looked at me crazy and said you have never been asked to stand before... umm no I said then please just do a few curls you don't need to cut it anymore since I wasn't comfortable standing. It took the girl over an hour to curl my hair. I know it's a school and they are learning but this was a horrible experience! I will only be going to Capital for now on!

Horrible haircut. The stylist did the exact opposite of what I asked, but because it was on the back of my head, I couldn’t see until I got home. This was even after a teacher checked it. They would not provide me a refund as I did not want a teacher to cut my hair since they did a terrible job checking it. I have better hair cutting skills from watching some YouTube videos. Save your money, go to a decent stylist.

Scheduled an appointment to get my hair cut, I should have known not to go to a school to get a big haircut. The student did not properly braid my hair for this type of haircut. She put it one big braid and just started hacking away at the back of my head. I knew instantly it was shorter than I wanted. I asked to have blended layers as I have curly hair. I specifically asked to not have much weight at the bottom. She curled it afterwards and curled half of my head away from my face and the other half towards my face. When I got home I attempted to straighten my hair which resulted in tears after realizing how uneven the whole back of my head is with hardly any layers. It is very uneven and choppy at the bottom, not at all what i asked for. I even had to cut a few pieces that were so obviously longer than the rest. I have a friend who is going to fix it for me but please!... do not ever go here to get a major cut. Lesson learned.

Do not go to xenon academy. The manager Annette or lennette, is disgustingly rude. Made a hair appt a week ago for today at 9:30, when I talked to whoever scheduled me on the phone the lady said 9:00 or 9:30, I told her 9:30 twice. She repeated my appt at the end of the call saying 9:00. I said no, I want the 9:30 spot. She said okay I’ll put you down for 9:30. Never got a reminder call text or email. I showed up at 9:20 today for my appointment they told me I was late so they filled my spot. How was I late? My appointment is at 9:30. Ladies at the front desk were very nice. I asked for a manager. She comes out of the back with an angry look on her face. The nice girl at the front starts talking saying someone had an opening they can get me in. The manager, Lenette or annette or whatever gives her a DEATH STARE. Like such a mean face and YELLS “NO SHE CANNOT DO HER HAIR. WE ARE BOOKED, YOU CAN GO TO THE BACK IF YOU ARE GONNA SPEAK!” I stared at her in disbelief, she’s gonna talk to her employee like that when she’s only trying to help? She then turns to me yelling at me like I did something wrong, I say I’m going on my honeymoon tomorrow and I know for a fact I booked 9:30 so whoever scheduled me put it down wrong so you guys need to fix it. She said nope we are booked and I stand by who scheduled you. I cannot believe what I’m hearing, I remember my conversation exactly when I scheduled and I needed 9:30 and asked for it 3 times and they said okay on the phone. This manager was giving me the nastiest looks and was yelling at me telling me I’m a liar and that I won’t be serviced there and made me leave.

I received a facial from a student close to graduating . I have been to another local school for facials and Xenon came out as the underdog . The student didn’t wrap my hair in a towel and proceeded to slap oil all over my face and head . She was very messy and should have wrapped my hair to avoid all of the gunk she got in it . My sister treated us to facials and even thorough hers was a terrible facial at least she had her hair wrapped up . My student moved quickly and at Capitol beauty school the instructor came in to look at our skin after and ask how we liked our service . At Xenon the instructor asked at the front desk in front of several people . All she had to do was look at my hair which was drenched in oil . I was laughed at looking so terrible . I will not return as the service wasn’t relaxing nor done right . It was a waste of money .

I honestly love this place (the people and environment are very welcoming and sweet) however I probably won't be coming back. There have been multiple times when I've called and gotten nothing but a busy signal, put on hold, and been it hung up on. friends of mine have left messages and never heard back after they too wanted to make appointments. I'd schedule if phones were answered. Not sure if it was a techlogy problem but it's happened a lot. Really hope it gets figured out because I truly enjoyed the service

I recently had the pleasure of getting my hair done by Jenny McCauley, and it was an amazing experience! She's not only a skilled professional but also a warm and friendly person. Might I say, her scalp massages are heavenly and add a luxurious touch to the visit. That everyone's favorite part right? What sets her apart is the inviting atmosphere she creates, making it feel like you're with a close friend. I highly recommend Jenny for her expertise, warmth, and the fantastic overall experience she provides. Looking forward to my next appointment!

I went to the school to get a gel manicure. I did have on previous gel polish which I let them know ahead of time. I'm assuming they don't use soak off? The student hand filed the color off my nails and in doing so filed my nail so thin that one finger started to bleed. I asked if she could trim my nails and her clippers weren't sharp enough to clip my now thin nails. The paint job was messy and I'm guessing want cured all the way because when I left they still felt tacky. Within an hour of leaving my nails were already chipping. And like the girl in another review said... you Don't get a free bottle of polish with your manicure like the website says.
