UPDATE: As you can see, I received a not-so-nice reply from the owner. I think I was fair and honest in what I said below, and actually could have said a lot more but felt people got the idea. But he decided to alienate me and dozens of potential customers by attacking me personally. I do support servers (having been one myself) and left a generous cash tip in addition to rounding out the bill to an even amount. It boils down to the fact that I didn't enjoy the service or the food, and I wanted other diners to know about my experience. I was really excited for our visit to dolce given the great reviews on Google and elsewhere, but unfortunately my experience was not so great. Slow service and our server was quite gruff. I felt like an inconvenience every time I asked for something. I wasn’t blown away by any of the food, which again was super disappointing. The mac & cheese was pretty good, but it had way too much chorizo in it. It was really like cheesy chorizo soup with some noodles on top. Kind of bizarre. The salad was way under-dressed and I couldn’t taste the salad dressing at all, it was basically dry lettuce. I ordered the pork trio and was disappointed with all three ways. The pork chop was tough, the pork belly which I was looking forward to was also overcooked and kind of burnt. Then there was some pulled pork of some kind that was flavorless and stringy. I don’t want to harp on, but nearly everything we ordered had some sort of issue. It really impacted our dining experience, and made our anniversary dinner feel pretty lackluster.

I've been to quite a few high-end restaurants and Dolce still holds the spot for my favorite meal ever. The chef's tasting menu was incredible. The chef came out, explained each dish, told us about the herbs and vegetables he grows in his own garden, and everything was beyond amazing. Great job.

We really love coming to Dolce. Can't wait to go back! In all my dining experiences, I've never seen Artichoke Brulee on a menu anywhere. Awesome!!

We wandered into Dolce a couple months ago without a reservation -- we didn't think we needed one. Chef Anthony expressed his regret at being unable to seat us, he and asked us to please make a reservation and come back. Chef is very hands-on with his business. He understands quality food and quality service, and he made us feel like we were the center of his attention for the evening. We spent about three hours enjoying the five-course tasting menu, but the time flew by anticipating the next piece of edible art. The atmosphere was perfect as the lighting was soft, and while there was a positive buzz in the place, it was quiet enough to have a conversation comfortably. We highly recommend Dolce and will be returning.

Enjoyed the live music. Was beautiful, but not too loud that you couldn't be heard. Food was fantastic. Would definitely come back. Perfect spot for foodies, nice date night, or a spot to take people out for a nice meal.

We tried the Pre Fixe (4 course dinner). The rissoto was amazing, the soup was solid, pork chop amazing, steak was solid, and dessert was great. The vibe is very romantic /luxury feeling. 4.5 rounded up.

Incredible first time experience at Dolce! Food was fantastic, staff was helpful and accommodating & the ambience was lovely! The Pre Fixe menu was so creative and perfectly proportioned; every bite was wonderful! We sincerely felt as if everything about this place was thoughtfully & tastefully chosen and prepared! Our first visit convinced us that that it won't be our last!

Absolutely SPECTACULAR! Hands down this is one of my favorite restaurant experiences ever. I can't believe I haven't been to Dolce before but I will definitely return and if you haven't gone, you really need to make a reservation now. You won't regret it! We had the Chefs 5 Course Tasting Menu and honestly all I can say is wow wow wow. I was super impressed by (and very appreciative of) their ability to accommodate my unfortunate need for gluten-free in each course. The wines were perfectly paired to bring out the complex and creative flavors in each plate. The first course was quite possibly the best sea scallop I've ever had. While I can't remember all of the specifics, it was beautifully plated with rice and potato crisps, a spicy slaw and fresh microgreens. It set the stage for the remaining courses. Second course was a fantastic and again beautiful tuna tartare. Third course was delicious duck. Fourth course was a to-die-for wagyu beef... seriously every bite elicited moans of pleasure. Sooooo good. Last course was a banana ice cream with berries, brittle and dark chocolate. It was all I could do not to lick the plates clean. Chef Anthony is not only an incredibly talented chef, but also a marvelous host. He personally delivered each course which made the dinner even more special, not to mention entertaining! The serving staff was the epitome of friendly, professional, and attentive. I don't know that I've ever experienced a more perfect dining experience. This might be the best kept secret in Omaha. If you find yourself contemplating dining at Dolce, deliberate no more... you simply must go. You won't regret it. I highly highly recommend!!

I really loved the place and the food. We went with the pre fix menu. The food was delicious. I loved the ravioli and I wish there was a little more quantity. My husband loved the squash soup - very creamy and tasty. My next favorite was the red pepper shrimp. I have asked for extra spice and the chef made sure to make it. The waitress did ask me for the taste check once she delivered the food. I liked how the chef accommodated my request. My only suggestion is that they have a few more chicken and vegetarian options. Overall, a very nice place. Definitely recommend for date nights.

Exquisite food. We had the 5 course chef's tasting menu and it was unbelievable. Each course was absolutely delicious, having chef Anthony serve us and explain each dish was a treat and we will 100% be back. Everything was cooked perfectly from the scallop first course, to the fruit dessert finale. The entire menu looked amazing and we are already planning a return trip. Perfect spot for a date night or celebration dinner. It's intimate, so reservations are recommended. The drink menu is extensive with many options. There were several things on the dinner menu I'm excited to come back and try.

The Mac and cheese was some of the best I had. I liked that it was more saucy. The flavor carried over very well. Soup of the day was a cauliflower infused with truffle. The mussel option for lunch was $11. Exceptionally generous portion of mussels. The chicken gnocchi option was fine. It was good, but the other items stood out more for me. Service was friendly and polite. Definitely would like to see the rest of their menu. Presentation is very nice. Altogether a lovely restaurant great for date nights. It has an intimate high class feel to it.

Amazing experience! Our anniversary dinner was beyond exceptional, paired very nicely with wine for every course. Chef Anthony came out to explain every single course. An experience you cannot get anywhere else. The food was out of this world.. I recommend to take the 5 chef’s course!! Excellent service too!! For sure next time we are in town we will be back!

Anthony the owner is an artist when it comes to food. Every item is AMAZING! I have never been disappointed. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly. The atmosphere is modern and comfortable. Music they play in the restaurant isn't overly loud, nor boring. This place is an absolute gem! If you haven't visited this restaurant I highly recommend you do immediately. Try the Jameson and the giant peach cocktail. It has a delicious sophisticated flavor to it and is still strong without tasting like straight booze. The lamb is delectable. The beef is locally raised and hand picked by the chef. Tender and packed with an explosion of flavor as it melts in your mouth sending you to meat heaven. Also, they have the best bread pudding in Omaha. If you like live music come on Wednesdays for a live acoustic show to accompany your delicious meal. There is to many things to compliment at this fine restaurant. Do not wait! Call them today to make a reservation.

Highly recommend dinner at Dolce’s! Second time here and both times were excellent. I had the Prix Fixe with the Risotto, Caesar, Chicken Breast and Bread Pudding. Besides loving the food, what really makes this a great experience are the variety of plates that you can choose from. I truly appreciate that each course gives ample time for you to enjoy each dishes flavors before getting the next dish. And as a result, you end up eating a great meal and having an amazing evening.

The food was okay; the flavor profiles were either a little boring or a bit overdone with certain ingredients. The ambiance was wonderful and would be great for a large group of friends. Service wasn't so good, but we arrived right after a table of ten was sat for our server, so that might have just been bad luck. Either way, at a restaurant like this, my expectation is that our server is able to describe the food in ways that make our mouths water in anticipation, and I felt like we missed out on that. We had the mac and cheese, ragu waygu, bread service for 2, beet salad, potato soup, duck leg, and the lamb rack. The mac and cheese was very good, and the lamb was cooked well and plated nicely.

Went for my boyfriends 23rd birthday and had an absolutely amazing experience. We started with the Jameson Peach and the pomegranate cocktail. The Jameson cocktail was sweeter than we expected but still so delicious and the pomegranate cocktail was PERFECT! Had the mac n cheese and waygu goulash for starters.. both were amazing. The entrees, however, were our favorites of the night. We had the duck breast and scallops. WOW! Top notch entrees and made better by our server, James. Thanks for making this an amazing birthday for my boyfriend Dolce. ❤️

The Chef here knows food and wine. Our tasting meal and the wine accompaniment were excellent. We went on a Saturday night and arrived about 5 minutes early for our 7:45 reservation. The greeting at the door could use work. The male who would later be our waiter seemed almost annoyed that we were there. He became a little more friendly after seating us but it was a bad beginning. After that things just got better and better. We ordered the five course tasting and every dish was outstanding. Courses were served by the chef and wine was brought by the waiter. All courses were substantial so we were full at the end. I usually only taste desserts but here I did eat it all. The wine pairings were the best I’ve ever had. This is a chef who is truly a master at his craft and his sommelier background is a great complement to those skills. This was an outstanding meal and we’ll definitely be back.

I've had the opportunity to dine at Dolce in Omaha twice now, and unfortunately, both visits left me feeling let down. My main concern was the inconsistency in the tasting menus. It's crucial for a restaurant to maintain a certain level of quality, and this was lacking in both instances. Regrettably, none of the dishes managed to deliver that anticipated "wow" factor. Given my genuine desire to enjoy the experience, it's disheartening that I left without that sense of culinary satisfaction. I appreciate the effort that goes into crafting each dish and creating a memorable dining experience, but the inconsistency and lack of standout flavors have left me with a sense of disappointment. I hope that Dolce takes these concerns seriously and works to address them, as I believe in the potential for improvement.

Went here for anniversary dinner. Overall is a good place. Nice atmosphere but is small. We did the date night meal, a four course dinner. All the courses were great, but the risotto was a little too salty. The other items were well seasoned. The staff was very friendly prices not too expensive. Would come again. This is a nice hidden gem in Omaha.

My husband and I went in for the first time this weekend and had the 6 course tasting menu, not knowing what to expect. We were blown away! The food was amazing, every course unique and fun. Highly recommend!

Fabulous restaurant. We had the chef's tasting menu which included five courses and wine pairings. The service was excellent and the chef personally came out to describe each dish. Don't hesitate to try this restaurant!

Absolutely loved the food. We opted for the chef's tasting menu as a party of three. All of the food was superb. The chef would bring out our plates and describe the dishes while explaining some of the ideas and creation. Everything was cooked to absolute perfection. It is one thing to be served at a restaurant, but it is another to be served food with the passion behind it. I have never had a chef personally rotate a plate to display the beauty in their presentation, but that's what we received at Dolce. Every plate was incredible, the wine pairing is well chosen. I cannot recommend this place enough, and the chef menu enough, for a special occasion or a nice night out. The interior is comfortable and inviting, the food is elegant and delicious, the restaurant is an experience and a must.
