Great music and environment. Romantic if you are dating. Friendly service. Kid friendly. A parking situation happened before I came in with a fellow patron, not the restaurants fault, but I wasn't feeling too hungry after that. I also ordered more than I could handle. Great tasting food. The owner is awesome. I am definitely going back if I can find someone to drive me.

DO NOT BE FOOLED. At first glance, you’d think its a joke. However, the interior design is just fascinating. Our waitress was friendly and hospitable. Steak was 8.5/10, solid dry-aged ribeye. Really enjoyed the simplicity and taste of the green beans, it allowed for the steak to shine brighter as the main star of the dish. They have an extensive list of wine selections too. Definitely a special experience!

Old school steakhouse with a facade and decor of a monastery. Steak was well seasoned prepared to proper med rare and tasty. Could have been thicker cut to be more enjoyable. Mashed potatoes were bland. The green beans were nicely seasoned and seemed fresh yet slightly over cooked, but still good. The cold dense loaf of bread was the weakest link to the meal and uninspired. It could at least be warm. Another style bread would be much better. The beer was inexpensive compared to the rest of the menu. The salad bar had a tasty red onion house dressing, which I was glad I tried. Retro to the 1970's it still have a salad bar with fresh ingredients and fine choices which made for a good salad with both spinach and iceberg lettuce. The fried onion crisps were a nice touch for the salad and the better choice over croutons

Did we step back into 1993? Salad bar and potato comes with the stake? Well it worth the visit the prime rib was done perfectly and had lots of flavor. The streak was slightly over salted for my test but still tender. The salad bar was a fun throw back. The onion soup was slightly disappointing lacked bold flavor and little watery. The service was excellent. For 5 us with a bottle of wine and two cocktails it was $350. So perfect pricing. Don’t be afraid of the nondescript building with no windows.

The atmosphere here is dark and romantic. I almost felt bad bringing all of my coworkers here, as if we might ruin someone's date. But everything was so perfect. The French onion soup is good and extra cheesy. The carpaccio was prepared perfectly, and the perfect amount. The raspberry bread pudding was so good, but maybe too much food. The staff was helpful and so friendly.

As you approach this unique restaurant you hear a gentle monastic chant. Seriously. Even the servers wear monks clothing complete with rope belts. The rooms are all individually decorated in dark, clubby style. And the food is delicious! I enjoyed the prime rib Benedictine with hollandaise sauce and a baked potato. Definitely check this place out for a unique dining experience. Good place for a romantic date night.

This place is a real gem and one of my favorite restaurants here in Omaha. In a large windowless building in the back of a shopping center sits Brother Sebastian's. Approaching the large wooden doors you can hear monastic music being played. That's because this place is a theme restaurant! But it's not tacky, the place is decorated very tastefully and has an excellent wine menue. Ordering the prime rib here is truly an experience. The au jus is warmed in a small dish above a candle and the meat comes with a choice of potatoe, veg, and salad bar. Plus very good bread.

When you arrive, you’re greeted with the sounds of Gregorian Chanting outside to set the mood. Inside there isn’t a bad seat in this restaurant but grab a booth if you can - you may need to space to lie down after dinner. Service was excellent. Salad bar (included with most meals!) was clean and delicious. The steak was excellent and not as expensive as ‘fancy’ steakhouses. One of the best dining experiences in Omaha and it won’t break the bank. Highly recommended!

After much debate on where to go for an anniversary dinner, we landed on Brother Sebastians and let me tell you that we had the best service and food. The server was friendly and on point with refills and telling us about the history. I was in the mood for prime rib and it was done to perfection. And while yes the outside is interesting, you will not be disappointed with the inside and are encourages to walk around and see the different decor. If we ever travel back through Omaha, we will for sure make this a return stop.

Oh my gosh! Best steak of my life!!! Everything was above and beyond tonight!! Dinner with husband, went for the new York strip. Service was phenomenal, however we had a great server and that makes all the difference (Jim)!! Medium rare grilled to perfection! I can't rave enough about how every bite of this steak just melted with flavor in my mouth and I was never running out of my tea or left needing anything thanks to our server! Overall 11/10 experience. If you like steak and are picky about the flavor like my husband and I, Brother Sebastian's will meet your needs!

This is always a favorite in Omaha. The service is great, atmosphere delightful, salad bar one of the two best in Omaha, and the steaks are always perfect. If you've never been, you won't regret it!

A must visit if in Omaha. Super awesome dark and cool vibe that will make you forget it’s light outside. The bread and salad bar were amazing starters. Just make sure to save room for your entrée (with 2 sides) and probably dessert. I would HIGHLY suggest the salmon fettuccini Alfredo. Creamy and smooth sauce with plenty of flavor but not overkill. The salmon was perfectly cooked. The service was efficient and friendly with tons of knowledge on the food and told us some info about the cake specialist. He makes all of the cakes and in all made 500 CAKES for Brother Sebastian’s in 2022. I didn’t get the chance to try the cake but it’s okay, I will definitely be back soon for more great food. Can’t wait!

Blast from the past! While I didn't try it myself, my table mate highly recommended the prime rib. The battered walleye was alright, but I'll probably try something else instead when I return. Definitely save room for the salad bar and ask about their wine list when you visit. We were very happy with the bottle we ordered. Service was friendly and fast. This is a great place for a romantic and relaxing night out. As a group of 2, we were seated immediately on a Saturday night, but not everyone might be so lucky.

The salad bar here was great for lunch with my smothered chicken sandwich. My husband enjoyed their chicken fried steak and my son thought the New York Strip was very good also. Neat atmosphere-we sat at a cozy booth right by a wall of books. Great service!

Driving by Omaha on a cross-US roadtrip and wanted to find good steak since we heard that there are more cows than humans in this state. Who knows if that’s true, but the steak here is truly delicious. Get the prime rib and Filet, can’t imagine how it’s go wrong. The place was decorated to such a nice vibe that I was reminded of all the monasteries I did visit in Spain and Peru. The salad bar was also delicious. We were well fed and well served by Alisa(Elisa?), the sweetest server who is also working hard to get home to her three children. Lucky that we ate there! Making reservations would be a good idea since we waited for about an hour.

You wouldn't know it as you pull up to this restaurant that inside you will find yourself in a romantic monastery like atmosphere. Dim candle light beautiful jazz music and friendly service engulfs you. The menu is tantalizing and does not disappoint Bring your appetite and be prepared to get what you pay for The wine selection is amazing and longer then the food menu Have the prime rib or a steak because you don't want to miss out on one of America's best steak houses by ordinary the fish! Of course the fish is also amazing. 10/10 on everything

We went with some family from out of town for their first time. We didn't decide to go until Friday night and they didn't open until Saturday at 5pm. We called 15 min a head of time to make a reservation and althoufh they were nearing the end of their reservation space, they got us in! We also took our two year old daughter, I was a little nervous as this is a nicer and quieter establishment but she did really well! Tim brought her some cottage cheese and crackers while we waited, he never let our drinks get low, he was personable, funny and very helpful with recommendations. He was even really great at telling how much longer until the appetizer and meals came out which was really nice not having eaten since breakfast! My family was all very impressed/pleased. Although it's a bit more expensive for a family outing it's well worth the experience and good to treat ourselves every now and then! We look forward to going again! Thank you Tim, you're the best! And the rest of Brother Sebastian staff!

The waiter was great!! The food was horrible after eating my French fries that I got with my tasteless Thomas filet made my hands smell like I was gutting fish all day. Steak was disgusting and smelled like raw fish!!! Beans that came with the meal smelled and tasted like seafood. Cherry jubilee was the best thing all night. I wouldn’t eat here if free after tonight I would have rather thrown my $240 in a wishing well or in a homeless persons hands. Just all together gross.

Pricey, but sooo good! The food is outstanding, the different dining areas have monastary themed names. Salad bar was salad only but with lots of choices. Only whoosh we didn't have to do back and forth on each side to complete our salads. The monk changes are cool when entering, would have been nice for the chanting To be quietly in the background during the meal, all in all a very nice atmosphere and delicious food. The only item we ordered that did not meet or exceed our expectations was the lemon curd cake. The chocolate cake and raspberry bread pudding was Devine!

Great moody atmosphere, super knowledgeable and attentive staff, and delicious food all make Brother Sebastian’s a great date night destination. I had the best steak of my life there—a filet that was perfectly seasoned and cooked and tender enough to barely even require chewing. The only complaint I have is that the bread loaf they give you at the beginning is not good. Everything else was perfect though!

This place is pretty cool, loved the uniforms! Food was exquisite and tasty. I give 4 stars because its quite pricey. But overall it was nice. For me, a place to go just for very special ocations.

Always a fun time! We've been here a few times, but I've never really thought of writing something until tonight. Brett, our server was amazing. He really made our night special. He was so kind, very helpful, and full of good humor. 10/10

Everything was excellent!! Our group ordered a wide variety of appetizers for sharing, and they were all great. My fillet was perfectly cooked medium rare as I asked and was outstanding. Others in the group were extremely happy with their entrees. We had a group of 15 and our waitress was unbelievable! No one waited for drinks, refills, or anything. Outstanding service! And after you're done eating, make sure you look around at the rooms in this building. From stained glass windows to the monastery bells in front- it was an absolutely beautiful atmosphere. Highly recommend visiting if you're in Omaha!

First went here in 1993, and went back many times after that. I just went again today with my daughters after the opera. Nice to know that some things never change. Outstanding in every respect! The prime rib was exquisite, and a huge portion. Fresh bread, delicious salad bar, wine, dessert. Cozy semi-private booths in small dark rooms with fireplace. All was as good as I remember. Yes, a little pricey but I don't mind at all paying for value and great service.

My wife and I reserved a table for April 20, 2023 on April 18th. Receptionist was very polite and asked all the right questions to include booth or table. The night we dined in our server Jody was great! She suggested the delightful mashed potatoes and as you can see in the picture I received a double portion. It went perfectly with my medium rare New York strip steak drenched with peppercorn sauce. My wife ordered the queen cut prime rib that came out exactly as she ordered it. Our drinks came out to us while we were loading our plates at the salad bar. The salad bar area was a bit messy but nonetheless food was easily accessible. We had to wait a couple minutes for fresh plates to come out. I highly encourage anyone to enjoy this establishment.

The best bang for your buck steakhouse in Omaha. I'm usually a steak hater, but everything I've tried here is an absolute winner. The steaks are cooked perfectly and are tender. The staff and decor are welcoming. I take all my out of town friends and family here to show them some of the best food in Omaha.
