Disgusting!!! My husband and 2 kids attempted to stay there this past weekend for 1 night. The first room the T.V. in both sides would not work at all and the room was messy. The pool was also closed by the health department, not listed when I booked! We got moved to the 1st floor and while my son was in the shower I pulled out the pull-out-bed and there were mouse pellets all over! I made the kids grab there stuff! Fastest check out of my life!!!!!! The only right thing they did, was fully refund my stay. We were there less than 1 hour!!!

I have always stayed at Best westerns. But lately they have gone down hill. This one is under new ownership and yet some of the old employees still remain which is great for this new ownership otherwise it would be even worse then it was. I'm a diamond select with best western rewards amd i wasn't treated like Luke one. I got a suite like I always do there were no towels no shower curtain the bathtub still had hair from the previous person in it. I have never been so disappointed and disgusted. I told the front desk person who told I assume the manger he didn't believe me and I invited him to come look so he did saw it for himself. And got a new shower curtain sent up I cleaned the bathtub because I bring my own cleaner anyway because I know how people clean I use to be a maid. He didn't offer a discount just commented on how much stuff I had. Rude.. then my door stopped working so they had to let me in mind you I dealt with this for almost a week them having to let me in.. Annoying. Then they finally switched my room no discount given for All the inconvenience. Then that lock didn't work then they called and said I need a 100 deposit because I had taken the faucet from the other room I was like excuse Me you didn't ask for one when I checked in a week ago and what was I going to do with a faucet. I was angry I was upset I felt so disrespected it was unbelievable. I had left right after that and will never return I actually like that one I use to go there alot. I will never step foot in that hotel and do not recommend it to anyone...

We found bed bugs in our hotel room when we went to bed. Front desk was not concerned and it seemed he didn't tell his manager about it in the morning. I had to call them to tell them about it and get a refund. They refused to compensate us even though we had to throw out our luggage due to the infestation.

I was traveling with my pet and knew I would be in a pet friendly room but the smell of animal urine was overwhelming. It was very late when I checked in and I had struggled to understand the person who checked me in, so I was in no mood to try to change rooms. I opened the window and turned the heat down to flush the smell out. My allergies kicked up and I was happy to leave in the morning.

Common areas need attention, halls are dirty and you can tell they haven't been vacuumed in a while. The elevator was pretty dirty. The lobby at least looks decent. The room is clean enough, but the carpet is ancient. The room would look so much better with fresh carpet, or even vinyl. A big issue was the door to our room, the deadbolt didn't work. At least it had a sliding security latch, but we would have preferred to be a bit more secure. We stayed two nights in a room with a jacuzzi tub. Tub took over an hour to fill enough to use, but at least the water was nice and hot. Tub was clean, which was kind of surprising, tbh. Bed was comfortable enough, and we slept decent our first night. 2nd night was extremely rough, because the people in the room next to us were ridiculously loud at least until 3am. I tried calling the desk, but I think it's a one man show in the middle of the night. He didn't answer. Probably tied up with other tasks. I went down and told him about the noise. When I got back up to the room, I could hear the phone ringing in the room next to us. So i know the front desk tried to contact them at least once. Unfortunately it didn't work and the noise continued. Point is, if you need a good night's rest, you might struggle. No fault of the management, really. Just luck of the draw, I guess.

I booked two rooms to celebrate my daughter's 16th birthday. The pool was freezing, not hot tub as described on website. Rooms were dirty, lots of stains. I refused to shower because the tub was dirty and the shower head looked disgusting. It definitely made the occasion less memorable, especially for the cost. Plus, I could not sleep because the curtains don't close to make it dark. I had a nearby business light shining in all night.

Worst employees & nastiest rooms. Absolutely do not pay with any kind of credit or debit card. They will run you dry. My boyfriend & I stayed here last weekend for a little trip we took to Omaha. Upon arrival, we paid for our room & my boyfriends card was charged…. And kept continuing to be charged. It’s been a week now since checkout and he has just been charged again. They continue to say they’ll fix the issue and they still haven’t. It’s funny how we got all amped up for a long awaited weekend away & this hotel ruined our entire weekend due to constant stress. Don’t let them ruin your stay!! Pay the extra to go somewhere else!

We were in Omaha for the men’s college World Series so rooms were very limited, if we could have found somewhere else to stay we would have the hotel is old and in disrepair all the carpeting throughout should be replaced walls need to be repaired and painted. Overall this is not a hotel that I would recommend to anyone. The first room we were put in had a very musky smell and did not appear clean. The second room we were put in had been flooded and repaired but the floor would sink as you walked across it, the beds were worn and broken down and extremely uncomfortable.

Sheets were dirty, the beds are uncomfortable the toilets don't flush. We had reserved a king sized handicap room on the first floor or on the second floor by the elevator , and the elevator was broken and they gave us a queen-size room. The pool was closed by Douglas county health department, the creamer for the coffee was spoiled and the dude at the front desk was creepy and bummed cigarettes from the guests.

Place is gross. Rooms were not clean and needed to be updated. Bathtub needs to be replaced completely. Bathroom is also freezing cold. Blankets on the bed had cigarette burns. Curtains were stained with what looked like coffee. The “gym” had two things in it. Animals running the halls as it is pet friendly, however the dog that met me at my door in the morning to bark at me was not on a leash also no owner in site. Definitely wouldn’t recommend staying here there are way better places

Got a room to celebrate my fiancé birthday with a hot tub in it. The room exceeded my expectations have stayed in rooms with hot tubs before and there has always been moisture damage or a slight smell. Room was very nice and maintained well. Hot tub was clean and water temperature was perfect. Only complaint there really needs to be some sort of anti slip surface or stickers placed in the bathroom showers. Safety is a concern and the showers are small.

Well tried to stay here. Walked into the room, opened the bathroom door. And a roach was hanging out in the shower. Add onto this that there was a broken lamp, fire alarm hanging off the ceiling, and several holes in the walls. Not a good place.

Each time I travel, I try to pay attention more to the types of reviews that other customers have left, so I'm hoping that this one will help the next person. By no means was this the worst hotel stay, but it wasn't anything that I would to return to. For me it's about the small things, like that when you first walk into the lobby on a 90 degree day and there's no air conditioning on. Once we checked in and went to the room, the air conditioning wasn't on in there either. The bathroom in our hotel had an extremely strong chemical/wet towel smell. There was a couch in our room which was completely disgusting, covered in so many stains. It's honestly not worth keeping, as that would improve the cleanliness of the room. The desk was broken and leaning. Every towel had some kind of make up stain from a previous user, which leaves me to thinking the laundry isn't being washed thoroughly. I was located next to the stairs and it definitely kept us up at night and was constantly annoying. If you are located by the stairs or elevator, I would recommend asking to move. For the price, I'm not surprised of the quality. I think that a customers experiences would improve by just giving attention to detail and cleanliness.

Hotel room was clean and nice and location was convenient. Service, however, was abysmal. Front desk employee followed us to our car after we chose to cancel our second night’s reservation—incredibly unprofessional and creepy behavior. I would avoid this place especially if traveling alone

Been here a grip of times. Maybe 7 or 8. Ive had good times, bad times. This place is more like a 'transparency' thing. I go in and already remember most of the employees. I told bro straight up, I got my lady (extremely critical) and my parents (who never been to this state) coming and they all needed a clean room to stay. The employee asked me what do I need? I said I need to see a clean room they have confidence in. He showed me the room. I checked it, my Lady checked it. Stayed there 3 days, no issues. Alot of people leaving reviews probably never had to find a reasonable priced hotel, for a dog, in Omaha Nebraska. Theres almost no such thing as a 4 or 5 star hotel here and almost All of them have issues. So youre really paying more for nothing because a 5 star hotel in Omaha is like a 2 star hotel in Jersey. Trust me i been to most of them. Old Mill Inn is one of the few places youre legitimately safe. I never had my belongings taken. Never heard loud noises or seen sketchy people. Not to mention its visitors in their 60-70s who visit Omaha for the Zoo and stay at Old Mill Inn like its a vacation spot. This is what you get here; Good and Reasonable Employees, A simple and clean bedroom. (I had my Tv not work, but I went straight to bro and he fixed it no problems), and financial cooperation (I had to wait on a check so they gave me a cheap late checkout) You have to be willing to work with the establishment and not be willing to light a fire under them for not having every amenity you specifically desire. If you want a nice place to stay in Omaha Nebraska, book a full house superhost airbnb. Its fully renovated houses here you could live in with no complaints. If you arent trying to spend $150-$200 a night for one (Especially now when the weathers warm) go to Old Mill Inn. Staybridge is a nice hotel too, but I like Old Mill Inns employees better. Also staybridges room design layout is impractical. ✌🏿

The customer service was good, however the quality of the rooms were not. The first room we were in smelled very strongly of mildew and the bathroom had a very intense cleaner/bleach smell. The towels in the bathrooms were stained and the bedding had visible stains as well. We brought this to their attention and they were very kind and let us switch rooms without issue. Unfortunately the next room we stayed in had issues as well. This room also had a strong odor, as well as stained towels and water leakage in the bathroom. The bathroom floor had water damage and dipped in the center which made it feel very unstable. All in all compared to other hotels we've stayed at during our travels of similar price this one was by far the dirtiest. Although the customer service was good, I would compare the actual stay to a 90$ hotel rather then the 150$ we paid.

Disappointing. Not nearly as nice as the pictures make it look. Had several small problems the staff could only do so much to help with. On a positive note, the room was clean, bed was comfortable, and had no problems with noise.

The room was nice but could use some sprucing up. The security chain on my door was missing. Good location and price

Run down and filthy! Room was recently sprayed with some sort of air freshener, most likely to mask the "weed" smell or maybe that is the only cleaning the rooms get. No going barefoot unless you want the bottom of your feet brown. The grounds, abandoned! Weeds all around the structure 3 feet tall but a great hiding place for rodents. Will not be staying again.

We were really impressed by this place - the staff is working very hard to keep it running well. It's clear that they are understaffed. When we arrived for Memorial Day weekend, everything was flawlessly clean and functional - we had a jacuzzi in our room, for example, and it worked great. But there was a big graduation party in the basement that night, and possibly as a result the occupied rooms and public spaces did not get cleaned during the weekend. We were able to get more towels and things when we asked, but there were times that the front desk was unstaffed for quite a while. The service we got was terrific at a great price, and I would totally recommend folks keep them going so they can hire more help. ♥

Many of the light fixtuers in the room were falling off the walls or had broken bulbs. When walking in to the building, you have to manually push aside the sliding door because it was broken. Breakfast was cold, milk was left out, drink machine was not working properly.

We wanted a little getaway with a spa tub and down time. Although the room was clean, there were some issues. The entry floor was coming up and tripped in it, the water pressure for tub was low and it took almost two hours to fill, there were two remotes to the TV both of which didn't work. The elevator is out of order until further notice due to city inspection as well as the pool. It's been closed due to not passing city inspection since November 2022. Also the hallway and our room wreaked of weed so we had to go buy a candle and open the windows.

I stayed at Best Western in Omaha NE in Room #103 . Sofa had big stains , lamps had stains and shower curtain had mold . I decided to look past that bcus we just wanted to enjoy the hot tub we drove 3 hrs !!! Just to enjoy this hotel . Checked in @ 7pm left to grab dinner and wen we came back we turned on the hot tub at 10pm it worked for 10-15 min and it stoped working . The sign said to call front desk for help when we did some lady named Hanna said that she couldn’t do anything for us to wait for the manager in the morning , when we were only spending the night here . It’s unfair that I payed $188 for a room with all these problems . It’s also in fair that I payed that much when all we used was the bed , and other regular room are $89 . Manager was no help either . Hope to hear back to you soon .

We stayed here for 30 mins before checking out. My family and I checked in very late (around 12:30 am) and despite being exhausted after a cross country drive and having a 2 year old, we still decided to leave and stay somewhere else. We got to our room and first impression was it's dated but it was worse than that. The carpet was filthy and felt disgusting. The corners of the wall were peeling. We have never felt the need to check bedsheets before sleeping in them but our guts told us we needed to. Nothing found at the head of the bed, my wife even thought the bed was quite comfortable but then we decided to check the foot of the bed. That is when we found a red stain on the sheets. Not sure if it was blood or what but we weren't staying there with our child. We have a picture of the stain but unfortunately it will not allow me to upload from my cell. There were bottles of alcohol in the parking lot and people arguing in the lobby (keep in mind this is the middle of the night). We asked for our money back but the hotel has refused and hasn't even made an effort to reach out to discuss the complaint. This isn't surprising though after you read other reviews. The owner likes to apologize but still doesn't do anything to rectify the situation. I would never recommend this place.

Our hotel canceled us last minute so we ended up here. Rooms are older, furniture and carpet was worn and there is a musty smell. They are pet friendly if you need that. The dog next door did some barking so if you don't have pets, that's a consideration. We wouldn't stay here again.

My tub wasn't working so I called the front desk. They sent someone up to look at it who agreed it didn't work. They didn't have any other open rooms in my room type. The maintenance worker was at a Drs appt. After over an hour of waiting I asked for a discount and was told yes that's fine we will discuss it in the morning. After I put my kids to bed they came knocking at my door to fix the tub at 8:30pm- I said no. I spoke to the front desk again who didn't understand why they couldn't fix the tub when my kids were asleep. After explaining to them again they said ok and I would still get my discount. When morning came the front desk worker knew nothing of the discount and the boss wouldn't answer his phone. But I was promised I would still get a discount and they would call me within an hour. Also the milk and coffee were both empty at breakfast at 8am. This is by far the worst best western I've ever stayed in.

Service was ok, room was decent. We had issues with the plumbing backing up in our tub. Lack of hot water for the jacuzzi. Parking lot needs to be lit better, only half of the lot had lighting. Breakfast was mediocre. Decent hotel if you need a room, but if you are coming to omaha for time with your spouse try another hotel.

Stayed at this hotel this past weekend and it was the worst hotel stay my boyfriend and I could’ve ever experienced. After a day of travel and the zoo, all we wanted to do was relax. A large congregation of sketchy people were gathered out in the parking lot partying. An hour after getting back from supper the people in the parking lot flooded the hotel packing the halls partying and yelling. When my boyfriend went down to make a noise complaint he couldn’t even get to the lobby to speak to workers. He waited another hour to try and go down to make a complaint - the front desk man assured him the situation was being handled and the cops were involved. After coming back upstairs the people above us were making such a ruckus that our smoke detector on the ceiling fell off as well as pieces of the ceiling. We told the front desk we were leaving (at one in the morning and four hours away from home) and requested a refund. He reassured us management would deal with our request on Monday. Sure enough, we call to complain about our experience and management didn’t have any idea of what happened over the weekend and denied a refund. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone!

The staff were polite, friendly, and helpful. The lobby and common areas looked maintained and inviting. The location is a bit odd and the parking lot was somewhat narrow. The main downside to the stay was the cleanliness and maintenance of the room we were in. The fitted sheet was stained. There were hairs both on the bed and in the bathroom. The carpeted floor was noticeably damp in spots. The bathroom had gobs of caulking along the tub, sink, and toilet, and there was a loose floorboard. One final positive was the price was less than alternatives in the area.

My family and I checked in Friday Night Oct 6 around 1800. Immediately we were hit with a dirty hotel lobby, a dirty room(food on the floor, no toilet paper, no towels) and tried to make the best of our situation. I tried to communicate with the front desk and they made no effort to work with us to fix the toilet paper issue. We then tried to swim in the pool, which said it was open, it was cold with insects dead and floating at the top of the pool. At breakfast, still trying to make the best of the situation, a sign said "dairy free products upon request". My son, being highly allergic to dairy, my wife asked for some of the alternatives. The attendant then informed of there is infant no dairy free products so my son could not eat what was served. We decided to check out two nights early because the management was too busy to talk with us.

I had to travel to Columbus ne from northeast kansas. About a 3 hour drive my girlfriend has relatives in Columbus so we were there until late. I booked the room because I didn't want to drive all the way late at night. Had no problem getting checked in but what happened the next day has bothered me. I woke up early the next day around 6:00 am had to take a dog out so she could go to the bathroom. After getting to the 1st floor the elevator door opened as I walk to exit the dog I was carrying started to kick I dropped my car keys and they fell between the elevator and the wall fell between the space between the elevator and wall they dropped all the way to the bottom. Now I do realize I did drop my keys but the way the manager handled the situation I think is wrong. I told the front desk the man behind the counter said I had to wait for the manager. Well when the manager got there he took one of the employees retrieved my keys. After securing my keys he proceeded to tell me that an elevator technician happened to be in the area and would get my keys off the books for money. I agreed because I didn't have a spare key. When the manager came to the room he told my girlfriend it would cost $100 to get my keys but I refused and said all I had was $60. After receiving my money he did give me the keys so we were able to leave. I wanted to contact someone from the hotel but can't find any information to contact anyone that's why I put this review here.
