I hadn't been here since they had redone the area. I had a very pleasant walk around the water area. I feels a little bit longer than it was, but I could be mistaken. The playground and tennis courts are still kept up so that is good. I look forward to walking here again, and encourage anyone in the area to enjoy this newly renovated area. But please don't feed the poor geese bread! It's not good for them. I know it's fun to feed them, especially if you have kids so I can give you some things that are healthy for them: Grains, grapes cut in half, birdseed, frozen peas and corn (defrosted), lettuce or other greens, vegetable trimmings or peels, duck feed pellets or other starter pellets. Let's keep the geese happy and healthy while we have fun feeding them! I hope you enjoy the area as I did!

Boys play baseball here. I also love to walk around the newly expanded pond. Nice paths and not too busy. Just wish people would take care of the park better. Parking lot can be messy with broken glass.

Still love the upgrades to the park but choose to only visit in the early morning. Afternoon and evening is when the youngsters are out. Not my scene during those times. I'm a old timer.

A BIG complaint about this park is there was that there was no bathroom. The park was peaceful as there were not very many people there. The bike path wasn't in the best shape, and the neighborhood around it in some sections is in disrepair. Buildings boarded up and trashed, as well as having trash. The park grounds are obviously maintained. There wasn't very much trash in the park, but there was trash. The playground didn't look well maintained. The two regular swings were both broken. Wouldn't be my first choice of park to go to in the area, but it isn't a terrible park at all. I'm pretty sure I saw a drug deal go down while I was walking, but that's speculation.

Very peaceful and spacious !! Only thing wrong is the area where the marsh slash swampy area could be cleaned up quite bit.

Fontenelle Park, a page from the past in the lives of many. After 60 years this park is still as welcoming, as the warm sunshine, on this early spring day. Today I stoped to enjoy one of many Ball Games, that will be played this season, on the immaculately kept field. People were enjoying the grassy slopes, playgrounds, and always a favorite, the lake where I used to watch the fireworks, on many festive Fourth of July celebrations. Fontenelle Park an enjoyable part of Omaha, as relevant today as it was in my childhood

The people that work here are the absolute kindest souls and it is such a good place for kids to go and be outdoors! They have really fun activities weekly and it is such a decent priced membership. Between here and the zoo, by far the best places to get an annual membership.

I enjoyed visiting Fontenelle Park many years ago , however even today whenever I am in that particular neighborhood I still enjoy the view of this park and sometimes I take a walk through this park during the day 😜. Truly Mr.Cottrell 😉.

I spent lots of time there with my dad when I was a kid, back when it was a golf course. I hadn't visited the pond and playground area until last night with my kids. We had an ice cream treat and some stale cereal to feed the fish. I was amazed at the amount of litter in the water! The poor animals! I would imagine a lot them die because the water isn't taken care of. Not to mention the lawn. The weeds in that spot were just terrible. They were huge and there were so many! It looks like the city of Omaha isn't even trying to take care of Fontenelle Park. Mt husband and I were born and raised in North O, and are proud of it. So much so that we chose to raise our kids there as well. Were closer to Miller Park and frequent it. We enjoy Benson Park too. Both of those parks are so much more kept up. We thought we'd give Fontenelle a try since it'd been so long. But we were sorely disappointed. Such a great opportunity to have a beautiful Park. Even the baseball field across the street is better taken care of. I hope Omaha gets it together and provides the people of North O with a Park they can enjoy.

Since the renovation, this park looks so nice! There's rarely anyone there and plenty of room for you (or your pups) to run around. There's a nice trail that runs around the lake if you want to keep it on pavement. Don't let the area scare you off!

The park was drained and now there is a weird smell after the rain. Contains great deal of litter around the park area. This needs to be picked up Children play there!

Fontenelle Park has lots of different options for your family's needs. It has a really cute splash pad and small playground area. I wish it didn't have sand but overall seems clean and doesn't have a lot of clutter. There's also a nice walking trail around the pond with gazebos to grill and have a party. There's plenty of seating throughout the park with places to fish. It would be great to get professional pictures taken. I think it's a great gem in the middle of North Omaha. If you're looking for a quiet park(we've only gone in the evening so far), this is a great place to go.

It's nice having a splash pad in north omaha. It would be nice if it were bigger and not covered in sand tracked over from the playground. There was a port a John next to the pad that wreaked of old sewage. All in all the kids had a good time. That's what matters most.

Cute little park. There's a small playground and cool splash zone. A decent sized pond with lots of paved trails through pretty scenery. Nice place to walk the dog.

This was my first time here, and over all it wasn't too bad. In my opinion the grounds could be kept better.

Not a bad park has a water park and park. Enough room to enjoy activities and picnic. They could have a better cleaning crew though.
