Beautiful place to go for a run or bike run! We put on events here and it’s one of our favorite places. Last time we were there we realized they do concerts as well! I’ve seen wildlife every time I’ve biked the course setting it up!

Apartment was nice and maintenance was great! Only bad thing was I gave my 30 day notice on the 5th of March to be out on the 5th of April and instead of pro rating the 5 days like most apartments they charged me the whole months rent for April. When I called to say I could move out on the 31st of March they told me it was too late because it wasn’t 30 days. I am active duty military so most of the time I don’t get to decide when I have to leave so it was hard to pay a full months rent for only being there for 5 days.

One of Omaha's best places, this lake is a gorgeous refuge in the middle of the city's hustle and bustle. Choose between the long side (fewer trees and two playground areas), the short side or stay on the path and take them both! Deer, birds, plenty of people on the walking path. This place is great, rain or shine!

Pretty nice lake with a short drive from the city! There is boat ramp, cycling and running track, barbq and restrooms! The park is well maintained. They have some benches absolutely close to the lake! Enjoying the serenity of sitting there is amazing! In addition, people fish here. (You do need a license)

I have lived here for 3 years and the staff/maintenance are the best of the best. You won’t find a better apartment than shadow lake.

Very nice lake in Millard - great walking and cycling trails.

I like that there are several options. You can do a smaller, Western half, or a bigger Eastern half of the lake. Or you can walk or ride around the whole lake. I like the big mature trees, especially on the Western side, where I often see the deer and turkeys. Cons: The asphalt on the trail is old and worn out. t should be replaced with a new asphalt. Uneven surfaces make it more challenging and unsafe for bikes and scooters, and even runners.

A must place to go. It divided into two sections one is approx. 2 miles stretch and the others side is five miles. Got approx. 8 parking space and you can trail, walk, run, cycle Or you skateboard. Means a good place to spend sometime there. I would suggest go during the sunset time. Cause at that time the sky changes many colors and it looks amazing. Tip: A perfect place for a photoshoot.

Beautiful scenery, good company, multitude of entertainment and amenities. Highly recommended to family friends and all park goers. Well kept, cleanly, multiple entry access points, can be slightly confusing, a nice soccer complex. Great for biking, roller blading, hiking, kayaking, fishing, sight seeing, and many more. If your looking for a good gathering place they have picnic tables, community charcoal grills, over head picnic tables, reservations as well if wanted/needed. Check it out for yourself!

Full of seaweed. Trashed with garbage, had to pull a hook out of my dog.. If they would clean it up maybe...its a sad thing to see.

We come here all the time to walk, hike, bike, kayak, etc, & we don't even live in town. We come here almost ENTIRELY for geocaching! We actually own a few here, including a couple hard ones out over the water, one high in a tree, one where you'll get covered in burrs, & one that uses tree tacks on a back trail where you'll need a flashlight. Always enjoy coming here & from any direction!

I have nothing but nice things to say about these apartments. Staff and other residents are always friendly and helpful. We had a few instances of power outages this year with the storms. In each instance we were communicated with daily, sometimes multiple times a day on how things were being resolved. When we had problems with our garbage disposal, it was fixed promptly. They even come in and replace light bulbs for you! The location is unbeatable. There's a lake on the property for running and kayaking. Hyvee is in walking distance, as is the outdoor Shadowlake mall. The grounds are always clean and well kept. The pool/gym areas are always clean. While we are a couple in our early twenties, there are also families and older residents in our complex as well. This is definitely a place for anyone and everyone. My heart breaks as my fiance gets his orders to go to Japan and I will be left to find someplace else while I finish my job contract. This place is wonderful and I have been so spoiled with having this as my first apartment experience. I'm sure nothing will measure up from here. If you are debating moving into Shadow Lake Square, debate no further.

Great place for a bunch of random bystanders to occupy the boat ramp. Glad it's getting used for everything but what it was intended for. People having BBQs off the dock? Get real.

Very nice but they only allow cats and only except dogs who are service or therapy which is ok but they would make a ton more money if they allowed dogs too but apart from that the apartments are inside and are safer what got me really interested was they have an elevator which is great for people like me who can't climb stairs the employees are super nice

It's absolutely gorgeous but the ticks are insane this year! Went there fishing for only 2 hours and me and my friends fended off 10 ticks I wish i was kidding, went home and another one fell off but I caught it and killed it. The moment I had sat down to fish a tick was on my hand, I love it there but I really don't wanna struggle with ticks at home as I have cats! Don't think I could go back for fishing

I went for a walk here and it was nice, then I was sitting on a clean chair to rest and suddenly I found a tick on my foot, I'm a pregnant woman I must be that scared, and I have cats at home, I really don't want to take ticks home, don't want to be bitten by ticks, see a doctor and take medicine.

There are miles of beautiful trails, picnic shelters and a few playgrounds around the lake. There is plenty of parking and several local outfitters rent kayaks and paddle boards here.

I loved this property so much until I had to move. Military members beware! The grounds are beautiful, the apartments are built well, it’s generally quiet, it’s safe, and convenient for shopping and spending time outside. My major drawbacks with this place are the birds that swarm this complex in the spring and summer. They’re extremely loud and they leave droppings everywhere and it makes it difficult to clean your patio or spend time on it when there’s birds swooping, pooping, and screeching at all hours of the day and night. My other biggest qualm with this property is the treatment of military members. There is one other review describing my exact situation and I wish I had seen it earlier. I was called upon during COVID to deploy and had my dates changed several time with little notice, and I kept the management abreast of the changes as much as I could. They could not offer me any flexibility of charging me an entire months rent even though I let them know as soon as I could I was leaving 2 July. I ended up paying for almost the entire month even though the unit was vacant. This goes beyond what a lease says and just comes down to being flexible, especially during a pandemic when dates were changing constantly. Many properties had leeway for residents to make changes without charging extra fees and charges due to the extenuating circumstances of a global pandemic. For this I would not recommend any military member who has the chance to deploy living here. If you have the slightest chance at a last minute move or deployment they will insist you had to notify them at least 30 days in advance and will not budge. While this is legal it is not ethical.

I really love living here. The apartments are gorgeous. Quite. My view is not the best, but that's O.K. Dustin in the office is such a nice guy. Very polite. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a classy place to live.

Shadow Lake Apartments is the reason I am still living in Nebraska. It is a lovely place to live; everyone that works here has been extremely polite and they do a wonderful job keeping up the property. I would highly recommend Shadow Lake to anyone looking for an apartment. It is close to shopping, close to major roadways, and floor plans to suit your needs.

I have lived at these apartments for 2 years. Overall they are nice, safe, and the office staff is phenomenal in getting back to you. The granite counters are such a nice and elegant touch to these apartments. Cabinets don't feel cheap either. The maintenance is awesome at fixing anything that goes wrong in a timely manner. The only issue that I have with this apartment was within the last year a new neighbor moved into the apartment next to me. This person likes to play their music loud (so I can always hear a thumping sound) and they like to slam cabinet doors. That gets old but I've contacted management (Ashley) and she is amazing at being a buffer between us and getting them to stop. I am moving because it is pricey and far away from my school and it's hard to get to the freeway from these apartments but you can take surface streets.

The management is simply great! Ashley Kirchner, the current property manager, is extremely professional and friendly. Every question I have asked via email during my move-in process she has been able to answer within a few minutes! The grounds and exterior of the apartments are immaculate and the apartment interiors are very modern and beautiful. Hands-down the best apartments in the Papillion/Omaha/Bellevue area!

My building was 11951 and I was on the 2nd floor. I think I had the Meadowlark unit, which is around 650 sq. ft or something. I found the floorplan to be almost perfect for me. The kitchen is beautiful with granite marble, dark cabinets, and all black appliances. I like that there was a bar lip at the end of the kitchen to the living room, which makes it an easy place to eat and creates a more open floor plan. The living room was large enough for me to have 2 end tables, a small bar, a 3-person sofa and a lazy boy. I had my entrainment system by the door and a coffee table to top it off, so there is plenty of room. In between the kitchen/living room is a full-size washer/dryer/water heater in a closet and is completely out of the way. Also, the windows are HUGE! I love how big and how much sun they pull in! My bedroom was not huge, again it is 645 sq ft so you have to make do. There was a door on the bedroom to the closet, which you can walk through to the bathroom. The closet has nice shelves, as well as a n L-shape hanging area. I ended up having the facilities team take the door off my bedroom/closet door because it would get in the way. However, the door to the bathroom/closet was a sliding door and it works well. The bathroom does not have a lot of space to store things so sometimes I would have to hide it in the closet. However, as a single male, I didn’t really have any problems. There are four drawers on the right side of the bottom of the sink that are deep and good for storing items. Another thing is that I am 6ft tall and always had to replace shower heads because of my height. At this complex, I didn’t have any problems with the height of the shower that they provided. Each building has their own special fob, which allows access. Once you are inside, you have your own key to the apartment. I always felt secured knowing that people from the outside or other buildings could not get in. Another thing is that we have our own mailboxes but one of the buildings (everyone’s fob can access this one door) has a secure box location for USPS and UPS. Essentially, they would deliver large packages into lockers and send you an email code, which you use at the locker to access your package. I loved this and hope everyone adopts this feature! Another thing that put me at ease was that Frontline Security was always around. They would drive through the parking lots through the day and night and was available to call if needed. In my building I was able to either face towards the garages/corn field or towards the lake. My stupid self-picked towards the corn fields, so I got the morning sun. Do not get me wrong, it is beautiful but was not good for my plants/garden. But it was easy to go outside and see the beautiful lake (1.67 miles per lap for you runners) and landscape. There is something so calming about being by a lake…I am going to miss it. Again, I have lived there for 4 years. During those 4 years, I’ve NEVER had a problem with anyone. There were times that I needed to have things fixed on my unit, but it was an easy ticket. Nothing concerning but I’d submit a ticket and they would be at my place the next day, even when I selected it as a low priority (shout out to Andrew). The gals in the office were great with getting back to emails, as well as my one-off questions that I had. I’m not really big on the pool but I’m sure a lot of you are. The pool isn’t the biggest thing ever but it is a nice size. They have a grill on the patio (natural gas) and you can cook and have drinks. It was really relaxing when I did go so I’m sure you’ll enjoy it too! The gym is decent but I had a membership at the local gym, which is in a 2 block walking distance from my unit. If you want an affordable, beautiful, and quiet place to live – pick this. I’m only moving because my significant other is in Lincoln and I am moving to be together.

Very nice location. The lake access is great! Maintenance comes in a timely manner and staff is friendly. The only drawback is when they have community gatherings they are always on a weekday in the middle of the day when most people are at work.

This is definitely the best place I have lived in the Papillion/Omaha area. Such a beautiful place and a great place to call "home". The office staff are extremely friendly and quick to respond to any issues that arise. I have loved my time there and will always recommend it to others.

I was dubious as to what I might experience my first time living in an apartment, but Shadow Lake Square has exceeded my expectations. Move-in was easy, and all of my questions were answered in a timely manner by the courteous, professional office staff. I was especially impressed by the frequent updates and tips the staff provided after a severe thunderstorm knocked out power for three days over the summer. The apartments are quiet and well-maintained. Secured entry to the buildings provides peace of mind. Two minor maintenance issues have each been fixed within a single business day. I have had no problems with disruptive neighbors. In fact, sometimes it's easy to forget there even are other people around. It's also great having the lake and trail right outside the door. If I had to pick one thing to complain about, I would ask for slightly better appliances, but they get the job done, which is all that matters. Bottom line, highly recommend Shadow Lake Square.

We love living at Shadow Lake Apartments. The apartments and the entire facility are always in kept in great shape. The apartments are very quiet. Other residents are very friendly. Great family atmosphere. The maintenance staff are all very professional and they are very easy to work with. We have felt at home here since day one. The location is perfect for us. Close to everything. We have been here about 8-9 months and have not found any cons yet. Office staff is great. We were very lucky to have chosen Shadow Lake Apartments. You will not be disappointed.

I moved in here in August and have been very satisfied until Noella left. You can barley get anyone to answer the phones. Making sure you have a place to live and answer the phone for simple request is very important to me. I have went days without a returned phone call. I hate that you all wait until the day the rent is due to load up the balances. Other than these issues it's a quiet place to have peace.
