Some of the trails are paved and some are wood chips. Some are a little hilly, but not too extreme. There are educational boards throughout the trails that my kids love stopping and reading. There is a lot of shade and nature, but the sounds of the interstate can sometimes take away from that some.

The walking trails are short and hilly in places. Most of them are in the shade and lined with a number of different trees and perennials which were all labeled at one point, but several of the placards were missing. Some of the trails are concrete sidewalks and others are covered in woods chips, which provides a softer but uneven surface. Apparently there are a lot of Kodak moments here, as there were a number families taking pictures.

We took Pepper our Pomeranian to the OPPD Arboretum on a beautiful Shabbat afternoon in February! Pepper made some friends while we enjoyed the sunshine and cool weather (52 degrees)! Looking forward to visiting when the flowers are in bloom!

Who would ever expect that an OPPD power substation could be a beautiful Arboretum area? They did it. And you can learn about the trees you should and should not plant near your power lines as you walk the scenic trails. Check the handicap access. One path has a bit of a challenge with handicap accessibility.

This is a gorgeous park! Amazing for photos. Would definitely be prepared for waiting in line if you’ll be visiting for photoshoots. In the 8-10 times I’ve been here there has always been an overly saturated amount of photographers taking photos here 15-30.

The arboretum was a gorgeous place to walk and is dog friendly. Several short trails loop through different areas of the property, some in the open and some in the woods. There are porta-johns near the parking area.

Guys!! Go check this very cool spot out 💛 fun and easy hiking trails, open spaces, and lots of trees. The highway is a bit noisy but easy to ignore. It was the perfect Fathers Day spot to explore. Coldstone Creamery is nearby and nice treat after a warm walk. Hurts Donuts is super close, too! #oppd #coppergroup #tucklettes #liveomaha

OPPD has done a wonderful turn with this educational park. The trails are paved on the interior of the area while the perimeter trails are mulched. We had a good hour's walk while there and especially enjoyed the blooming bushes.

PHOTOGRAPHERS: This place is like an Omaha hidden gem and the perfect little (well bigger than you think) place with MULTIPLE locations for photo-ops!! 📸🫶🏻 Hoping to make an appearance for our special day 2024, till death star do us part wedding! Not really a kid-friendly park, it's a. Arboretum. Walking trails aren't all paved, so not necessarily ADA all the way around.

Nice 1 mile mulch trail through the woods or the paved trail is 0.4 miles. Both trails have good hills. There is a pretty fountain where families were taking pictures. Leashed-dog friendly.

All the years I lived in Omaha I’ve wanted to stop at the OPPD Arboretum on 106th and Blondo St, but was always on my way to somewhere else. However tonight, August 9th, we stopped. I really liked walking the paths. Thank you for creating this space that is so educational about trees and bushes for this area and making it also an enjoyable place to walk. Only one thing, vandals have taken away many of the name plates which makes it so we couldn’t (id) Many of the specimens. Perhaps the name plates could be replaced and bolted down to discourage theft. Nevertheless thank you for this space. Janet

Wonderful place for a walk on some short, beautiful trails and paths. Be prepared that this is a popular spot for photo shoots and people walking dogs.

Grey place to walk around, and even better for pictures. A ton of different scenery scapes to admire or pose in front of. Would highly recommend a visit during fair weather.

Background for pics or if you want or need to decompress, walk around. Breathe, it's next to the interstate, relax the trees and the stream. This place has perfect vibes before it became a Arboretum. Even if its busy great for yoga. It snowed and within 12hrs all paths were clean, 85 percent of the city wasn't clear. The park was!

Nice little park to walk around. I love that it's an arboretum and they post what trees and plants there are and give information. It's a little noisy being next to the highway. Also I swear every photographer in the area takes portraits here so it's kind of annoying if you just want to walk your dog because every 20 feet someone is taking a picture and you have to wait or rush.

My favorite spot in Omaha for walks! They have long grasses, forest trails, and open areas. There is even an area with waterfalls and a gazebo! It is also a great spot for photos. I have taken maternity, family, and children and baby photos here and am always thrilled with how they turn out! Highly recommend OPPD Arboretum!

This little gem is tucked away off Blondo street and I never knew how extensive it was! There is a nice pergola to sit under, beautiful gardens and many walking trails. My work team has been meeting here for lunch and it's been such a nice place to sit and enjoy each other's company and nature.
