Bagels are definitely better than any chain you would go to. Love being able to support local businesses and I appreciate that they are made fresh daily and keep a kosher restaurant. As an east coast native I would say these bagels are pretty close to true NYC but a lot thinner/smaller. However, the efficiency of their ordering process is a mess. When we walked up to the bagel counter and were waiting in line we were immediately pressured for our order when we hadn’t even gotten a chance to look at the menu, which was behind the register instead. After ordering there was much confusion at the register as various other customers were rung out in random order by which employee finished their order first. They should streamline this so you place your order and pay immediately after so you don’t have customers doubling back over themselves. Or have a consistent person working the register who rings everyone up in order and doles out orders by name or number. It wasn’t even busy when we went so there was really no reason for the excess chaos/confusion over who’s turn it was to pay.

Fresh homemade bagels with a vast selection of cream cheeses made in house as well. You can't really beat it. Friendly staff and relaxing dining area that works well for the whole family.

Great to have a bagel shop in Omaha that make fresh bagels! We bought bakers dozen and I loved the blueberry and sesame one. We also purchased two tubs of cream cheese but I think the flavor were okay on those. In my opinion, not strong enough (honey walnut & garlic chive)! Will visit again because my husband loves freshly made bagels!

A truly traditional, kosher, NY bagel in Omaha?! This was the best bagel w/ lox I've had in a very long time!

Bagel Bin is one of our favorite breakfast places in Omaha. The bagels are just too good and on top of that, they are Kosher, which means that this place is also great for the people seeking halal breakfast places in Omaha. We highly recommend this place to all the people in Omaha and all the visitors.

Having lived near the Bagel Bin most of my life, it feels like home. You can expect great customer service and a consistently good bagel every single visit. Wide selection of pastries as well.

I love a good bagel shop and this is exactly that. Reasons to stop by…..they don’t skimp on the cream cheese, they have seating options indoor and out and the staff is kind.

Puts most other bagels I’ve had outside of large metro areas to shame. Hidden gem. Friendly staff, excellent prices, huge selection of schmears!

REAL BAGELS! Divine! And the owner, Sue, is so very sweet, even at 4 in the morning. Can't wait to come back and try the Mac and Cheese.

Finally made the trip to Bagel Bin, and they did not disappoint. I got the apple cinnamon bagel, and my wife got the cinnamon raisin. We each picked out a sweet cream cheese. Her's was honey walnut, and mine was honey maple. Everything was good. The bagels had a nice chew, and the cream cheeses were fluffy. I personally would get the apple bagels again. The apple prices were too small for my liking, but it was still a good quality bagel. The maple honey cream cheese was also too rich for me, but delicious nonetheless. If you are in the area, check this local gem out and skip the chains. I plan to get an egg bagel and onion cream cheese next time. I will post an update after my next visit.

Community vibes. Excellent quality and flavor. Try the Lox Horseradish or the Jalapeño Green Chile spreads! Good sign when you see people of all ages/generations inside. Speedy too even tho they had a line 10 deep!!

Was there last month with a group of friends. The place was packed and hardly a place to park due to all the different businesses near by as well. Close to Invisible Fence if you need for reference. It did take me a bit of time to find it as it was up on the east side of street, so I did drive the block all the way to the end before I finally found it. Since we had so many with us we couldn't stay but I did do take out. The service was great and the everything bagels were outstanding!

Very good bagels. I’ve lived in Seattle, Portland, Denver, and Phoenix before moving to Omaha and I always try to find the best, most authentic, bagels when I move to a new city. Bagel Bin is that place. Hard outside with a soft inside. Tasty. Toasts well. All the above. And they blew the bagels in Seattle, Denver and Portland out of the water. I recommend this place

Variety of bagels came with a coworker they got lox on both sides and enjoyed it. Personally, I got a cherry bagel and walnut cream cheese. I felt the flavors did not stand out there was a light sweetness to the cherry bagel but not very noticeable.

Went for the first time. Had the lox bagel on an everything bagel and it was so good! Bought 6 to take home with a few cream cheeses. Honestly, there's so many options I'll have to head back again and again!

I'm a bit biased because I'm from New York. I'm not a fan of their bagels. They're too small. However, their pastries and the challah bread are pretty good.

  • 5/5 Rianne J. 1 year ago on Google
Let’s put it this way: I drive 1 1/2 hours one way to get bagels here since nowhere remotely close to me has bagels this good. (I do some errands too so I can make the most of it, of course!) Crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside, love the lox, very on par with what I’m used to eating in NY :)

Goodbye Panera and all the other so called bagel shops!!! Today was our first time going here and we were so, so impressed!!! My "Jersey boy" husband was excited that they have legitimate Salt Bagels, and that the bagels were freshly made. The owner himself was working the ovens in the back, making sure the front bins were stacked fresh. We grabbed a half dozen bagels for sandwiches for the rest of the week. They have more than just bagels, they have cakes, donuts, halvah, kugel and much more. It gets busy, very quickly, chairs were filling up, so get there early. The young woman who helped us was super helpful and sweet, even if I didn't quite know what I wanted. Only downside was they were out of Chocolate bagels, but that'll be for next time.

We tried the super onion bagel with garlic chive spread, cherry bagel with chocolate chip spread, donuts, and the cinnamon crumb loaf and it was all delicious! The environment inside was clean and welcoming. There are a few tables outside to sit. I thought everything was well priced and service was fast and friendly.

I called this morning to order to go for my hospital's daycare facility. I asked about COVID protocols for the staff at the center and they offered to individually package each bagel (and I ordered 2 dozen). Super impressed with the service and the bagel I got for myself was amazing. First time trying and I will definitely be back.

Ordered the poppyseed bagel with cream cheese. The bagel itself had great texture with a crusty exterior and a soft, chewy inside. Overly generous amount of cream cheese on the bagel (had to scrape some off with a knife). Minus one star for the low density of poppyseeds. This tasted more like a plain bagel with a very small dusting of poppyseeds. Would return to try the other flavors (cherry, cinnamon apple, everything, etc)

If you're in Omaha looking for the full bagel aesthetic experience, this is your place. I'm still unable to replicate their egg and cheese everything bagel masterpiece. The whole wheat everything is a special touch too. Such a great place run by people committed to the Art of the Bagel for decades.

Great food! But, need to better control level of maskless people moving around in facility. People should be more responsible with themselves and their children, or politely warned

As soon as you open the front door to Bagel Bin, your world will feel like you’re back in a small town bakery with friendly faces everywhere. The atmosphere here is cozy & welcoming, perfect to enjoy a bagel & coffee. Everything here is FRESH & homemade, tasting like it came right from your grandma’s kitchen! I honestly didn’t know there could be SO many variety of cream cheese spreads. Although the name is “Bagel” Bin, there are still plenty of pastries, desserts, and breads to choose from if you’re in the mood for something else. My routine visit entails dining in with a hot pizza bagel (a mini pizza built on a bagel of your choice) and then snagging either a fresh loaf of bread or box of donuts to enjoy throughout the week at home. Whether you’re looking for a warm spot to read the newspaper or an inviting joint to take the family after church, Bagel Bin is a MUST try place.

We are moving to the area again after having living in Nebraska back in 2000 but had to leave due to military. My husband went back to the area to check where we will be living, I told him to make sure to go back to the bagel bin, still the best bagels ever. I am originally from NY so I really know bagels. It’s a must if you live in the Omaha area or just visiting. Can’t wait until we move back in a few months.

Mold Mold Mold! I just got a cherry bagel today with strawberry cream cheese and what do you know, both half’s of my bagel have big greenish mold on them. I love this place but someone’s mistake is costing it my respect for the place.

Locally owned. Best bagels in Omaha. Will not buy anywhere else after having theirs. The homemade doughnuts are amazing too & are better then any doughnut shop I've tried so far. And their home made challah. Great for sandwiches & makes the best French toast I've ever had.

Do yourself a favor, pick out a wonderful bagel sandwich to eat there, any of the sandwiches will do as they all are great! Read the paper or people watch. Don’t forget a great cup of coffee (forget the place next door). Remember to take home some bagels and a couple of tubs of unusual types of cream cheese spreads (LOVE the everything bagel spread). Oh and don’t forget the wonderful pastries, take home some of those too....if they are any left! Did I say yet this is a wonderful place and they have great bagels?

A quick visit from my mom meant getting a good local breakfast. We made our way this morning to Bagel Bin, Omaha, Nebraska’s only kosher restaurant. It’s always busy there on Sunday, with a line and people constantly filtering in. There are plenty of tables to sit at, though we took our order to go. We got some bagels to go, toasted bialys with egg and cheese, apple strudel, almond croissants, and an everything bagel pretzel before they sold out of them. Simple, well executed baked goods. Am already considering returning for their ‘STICKY’ mini cinnamon rolls. So tasty. ❤️ Nestled off of a main road, Bagel Bin has an authentic feel. Staff is friendly and efficient. There are groups of friends as well as families sitting at the booths in the restaurant. You can’t find so many places like this anymore. Worth a visit!
