Okay so here's the deal. They have everything that you need in this little store. The prices are extremely crazy though. I really feel like they're taking advantage of animal lovers. You know it doesn't cost $17 to make that 50 cent toy. They should stop trying to take advantage of people. I guess I'm going back to Walmart to get the $5 toys. Outrageously overpriced

Petco was clean and it had good prices and was very friendly. I had to purchase a muzzle for my puppy and everybody. There was so helpful on helping me locate the proper size and the additional caller that I needed for it. Here's a picture of the item and my puppy. This type of muzzle is for dogs that are less sociable with other animals. They are able to eat and drink without being able to attack bite or nip. I'm actually very pleased with this and would recommend it to everybody in the future.

Hailey deserves a raise genuinely. She has helped me with fish so very much. She has a great humor, the only thing that I don’t like about the store is that a recent tiger barb died from a parasite of bloating. She has way too much knowledge in fish to be working at this pet store, but she makes it the best store chain in Omaha, the store has great selection of brands and filters. Fish freaks is probably the best then rivers and reefs, then I would say this is next. Chains usually suck but this place is great!

My partner and I come to this location quite frequently, but tonight is by far the best experience we’ve ever had. We recently took in a cat who is very picky eater, and we came in to try and find some food we thought she would like. The team leader (we didn’t catch her name but she had on boots) spent 15 solid minutes helping us, looking for the brand we liked, and just being all-around freaking amazing. There’s a reason we always come back to this location, and it’s 99% for the people like her who work here.

It is a one stop shop for our fur baby. He loves coming here! It is great that you can walk your dog here as well. They have reasonable prices and carry a great line of pet food. I love to let my dog come here and meet other dogs and see the other animals. Also love the ferrets! The staff are extremely friendly and remember us. They also give my dog treats when we leave. Great place!

Have had multiple good experiences here with the grooming services getting our small dogs hair cut and then our large dog gets his nails trimmed here as well. All the groomers have been great. Also purchase dog food from here and have had good luck with things being in stock and even sales on the food we use.

Do they will not accept my dog anymore because he attempted to bite a groomer. He is still a puppy. Any way I was not informed of his behavior just asked to not come back. Very bad customer service.

Took my Baby-Gurl one time, then every time walking even 2 am she pulled to the door. No stopping a 110 pound victorian bulldog when pulling!

The older lady at the front was very slow and wouldn't bag my things.

Always a friendly greeting upon entering Petco. The grooming staff are excellent. (72 & Dodge location) Emma, Matt, and the others are very good at their job. Our pups always looked great.

Cs was nice and didn’t get upset that I was returning something. There is an older woman that works the front and is rude. I hate to check out with her or do any interaction of any sort. There was another lady and she was cheerful and greeted us. I will def be back.

Roughly 4:30p today, Sammy helped me out at checkout. Today, as I was waiting in line to checkout, she had walked by looking like she was about to clock out, but she called me over to the register to help me out! I was already super grateful for that, but after she punched in my account phone number, she informed me that I had three accounts. I've been a shopper at this location since 2017 and regularly visit and was not aware that I had three accounts???? She not only informed me, but helped me figure out which of the three accounts to make my primary one AND assisted me with the process on how to combine the accounts. Besides her awesome service and going out of her way to help me, she was extremely friendly and casual, felt like I had known her for some time haha. TL;DR, Sammy was SUPER AWESOME!!!! Thanks again, Sammy 😄✌️

Most of the staff is wonderful, Hayley and Maddie make my pup and I feel welcome every time we come in. My biggest complaint is having to constantly keep an eye out, even while trying to look at products, due to the 'dog trainer' Steve repeatedly approaching my dog without asking or acknowledging me at all. My dog loves meeting people and saying hi, however not all do, and they may react negatively to being approached, as I would expect a dog trainer to know. He has approached her while I am in the middle of talking with someone, forcing me to pause my conversation to redirect my dog's attention. I don't run in to this problem with anyone else in the store.

Great staff, convienient location. Quality service and availability for online appt scheduling. Both my dogs looked great.

This is my least favorite location in town simply due to the parking lot, inaccessible entrance, older and worn-out building that needs major renovations. The staff is always extremely friendly and patient, but they are completely understaffed. The merchandise is usually in stock but not always. I come here because I have to and it’s convenient, otherwise I choose to go online to Chewy.

Great price on Hill's Science adult cat food. Went straight to the cat food aisle, which was easily visible and got in and out fast. Check out staff was pleasant and pointed out that i got a coupon after I shopped. Grateful!

I was greeted when I arrived and thanked when I left. I was asked if I needed assistance and staff was just helpful and not pushy. I bought the wrong size dog halter and clerk said to bring it back and exchange it if it was too small. No problem with the return/exchange. I felt like a valued customer.

This is a great store, with a wide variety, and employees that are very helpful. One improvement could be considerable brighter overhead lighting

After doing a lot of research. I took my grandmother's small dog here for a check-up. We received same day service and 5-Star treatment ❣️

The place is okay. The pet food is at a reasonable price. The animals in their habitats look clean and there's always fresh food and water. It just doesn't feel like a great atmosphere.

Desiree groomed both of my dogs today. She is kind and sweet and did an AMAZING job! One of my dogs is a puppy and it was her first groom. I'm100% sure she was very difficult. My puppy still had a beautiful groom! Thank you Desiree!!!

I never have a bad moment at my local Petco store. I know times are hard and staffing has been incredibly harder to keep after COVID, so there are limited bodies, but the staff that is there treats me above and beyond. I used to shop frequently at Petsmart, I even worked there a long long time ago, but I have fully transitioned to Petco. I even take my dog to the vet at Petco. The vital rewards have been such a lifesaver and it's nice to get all of my pet's (Lizards, Cat, Dogs) needs met at this store.

Great quality items here! The only thing I'd say is to freshen up the outside but the inside is beautiful and the customer service is great as well!

Taylor did a fantastic job with my dogs grooming. He looked great and was so happy when I came to pick him up!

Always pretty easy to flag down an employee for assistance. Especially getting an animal. They have been having issues out of employee control with building but are making the best of it. Animals were stressed out during the holidays when a pipe in building burst and employees had to close up shop.

Pricing on shelf doesn't match the charged amount. Imagitarium 4 way air controller is marked almost 20% less than what was charged

I don't go here anymore after run ins with a particular employee that was extremely rude. She repeatedly told us that we were not doing what was best for our dog. Our dog in fact had previously been taken to the vet for her ear infection and was being treated per vet recommendations. She insisted that we were treating it wrong and that we needed to try and clean her ears while she was sleeping. Idk if she knows what a 75lb dog does while approached sleeping but it isn't sit still. I'm sure she was well meaning but was extremely misinformed and rude about it.

Great customer service. Our dogs were groomed and bathed very well. They were taken care of and happy. Appointments easy to book and they were willing to call for my dogs vaccines to save me a trip to get them from the vet who would not email them.

Lessons for all the beginning fish lover. DO NOT BUY here. So I bought my first betta here and it died for strange reason. Bought a second one and it died again a week after that. I really dont think big box store like these are taking care of their fish well. Their live stock tank look super sketchy of how dirty they are. This place is just like petsmart, they never care about the health of their fishes, this lead to fish died just after a week or few days. It is a shame. Now I know why local fish store are expensive just because their live stocks are higher in term of quality and health. you would want the best for your money might as well spending a little more at LFS. I bought few fishes and so far only those at Local Fish Stores survive, anything from petco and petsmart keep dying one after another. This just a disaster.

Professional grooming services. First time I've ever had a groomer leave my dog's eyelashes long and only cut the hair around the eyes. I appreciate this.

This location is kind of difficult to reach, especially if you're not heading west on Dodge. I entered off of 72nd and it feels really strange to take an alley to get there lol I dropped in due to needing cat food for my grandma cat. Haven't been to the location before but it was close to where I was so figured I'd go in. I'm not sure if they are letting this location fade out and shut down or what. It's been there for ages so I expected it to be a little old/run down but I was surprised at how similar the vibe was to a thrift shop like goodwill. It was like a disheveled half packed kind of deal, with several employees running around but not to actually help people lol thankfully, what I was there to get was easy to locate so I didn't have to hunt around like I have in other locations. However, without greetings or really acknowledgment until I was at checkout, I honestly was unsure and wondered if the place was actually closed or something. It ultimately fulfilled my needs so I am fine saying it was okay but if they plan to keep doing business there, they should definitely do some work. There's a pet medical care clinic inside but I don't think I would feel confident in the care we would get if I took Ms Kitty there

I have to tell you I use to be super against going to chains like petco, but the staff here are honestly so helpful! During COVID my husband and I decided to get super into fish. The staff in the fish section were beyond helpful and let us ask so many questions. I really recommend this location!

When I try to get my services here each time there was always an issue. I’m not sure if it’s just the employees or what is going on at this specific location but its bad. Also, if you are of another race, that is not white, be wary taking your animal here. These doctors and nurses here will snap back at you and if you curse at them, they will ban you from Vetco. I had got banned from Vetco all because of they had a problem with doing their job and not understanding me as a customer. One time, I called, and I was speaking to a nurse, and I told her that I needed a prescription for my dog. She proceeded to explain what a prescription was. This is information that I did not need. I already have done this before. And then she proceeded to get mad with me and snappy and at that point, I just left it alone. I came to my breaking point with them recently and snapped back and this got me banned. Honestly, I won’t miss their services with them. Vital care also tried to force me to keep their plan even though, I no longer can use any Vetco services. Worse place ever ! Take your pet somewhere else !
