It was established in 1972 with modest capabilities, including a lobby, an emergency room, a pharmacy, and a prefabricated building. It provided its services to members of the Navy under the name Ibn Majid Naval Hospital. Its clinical capacity is currently 181 beds, and there is an integrated project to transform the entire buildings, successively, into modern construction while increasing the clinical capacity in them. Work has been completed in the consulting clinic and is currently in the process of receiving the surgical complex.

A good hospital, but not as required to provide all services. My visit to it was painful. My father died there on 6/16/2021.
