We had a blast at games on tap. We attended their trivia night (happening on Sunday and Monday, if I remember correctly) and the questions were very fresh and interesting with a bit of local taste. They had lots of classic boardgames to choose from, and their cocktail “I need a vacation” really hit home. Definitely going back again in the future!

A fun evening out for either a group or just two :) service is good and the games available are quite extensive. I haven’t run into any missing pieces and most cards in the games are in plastic sleeves. However, every drink I have gotten hasn’t been as cold as I would expect, maybe slightly above room temperature. Food options are great. Some groups can be quite noisy/rowdy at times, and while I understand they’re enjoying their games (as good as it is to see), it can sometimes be disrupting.

My first visit was an absolute treat! There is an online rental service up and running, and I decided to grab some food as well while picking up the board games I selected from their great selection, and what a good decision this was. Getting two of the most delicious grilled cheese I’ve had in a while, a divine peanut butter mousse, along with the 3 games I’ve wanted to try and was able to rent for an amazing deal before fully committing has been one of the most convenient and positive experiences I’ve had with a local business during this whole pandemic. The owners are kind and charismatic, showing you how much they care about what it is they’re doing - And I am such a fan. I will definitely be visiting on a regular basis! Thanks for what will now be a phenomenal weekend of board games to try

Visited from out of town and definitely the best board game cafe I’ve been to. Reasonable prices to play, eat, and have a drink. Excellent game selection and workers offered to help explain when needed. I like the space, a lot of time board game cafes try to fit too many tables in. Here it was spread out and didn’t feel cramped even though it was full. Very much recommend!

The atmosphere at this establishment was by far one of the best I've had the pleasure of enjoying. We were greeted warmly moments after we'd step foot into the locale, and asked if we'd made reservations before being shown to our table. A couple of preliminary questions about what kind of board games we were interested in playing lead us to Betrayal at the House on the Hill, and one of the employees helped us understand the rules and order of operations. It was a blast, and the selections of food and beverages was just icing on the cake. Would recommend for a good time

Great selection of games, cozy vibes and helpful staff. The seating is a mix of tables and comfy couches, and they serve alcoholic & non -alcoholic drinks. Didn't try the food. Great place for a date or a long session with friends. I'll certainly return!

Great atmosphere and lots of quality games. The food they have is good and their house made ice tea is some of the best I've had! Though they done have very much options for any dietary needs like gluten free or vegan, some but not many. Over all a great place to go and eat and play games with friends or family or even a corporate party as well!

I've been here a couple times now with my husband and it's by far my favourite boardgame cafe. The service is excellent, Sean is extremely attentive to anything we may need, food and drink options are amazing, and of course there's a nice selection of boardgames to choose from. I love that we can make reservations online as well. Will definitely be coming back!

A wide selection of games & fun experience to do with friends! I walked in on a Saturday night & was happy with the availability. I will totally be back, but for some constructive feedback (why you lose a star): • Very uncomfortable seating • For the $4 minimum food/drink spend, more options would be preferable beyond chips & the odd dessert.

Lots of games, lots of tables, you can reserve just in case it gets busy and you can drink beers and have finger food while you play. Their menu is on the table as a QR code with the wifi password available for all guests so that was nice to use waiting for friends. The QR code is nice because it saves on having to print a new menu whenever they get ruined, it's very tech savvy and with the code it brings to the menu but also their website so it's smart business. I also enjoyed that some of their games had practice sleeves to protect the cards. Nice place

Good place to spend with your friends. Lots and lots of board games to select. Hosts are really nice and look forward to help explore the games and give a quick insight. Good options for deserts. Lemon ginger tea is must try.

Great place to bring friends or a date. It's a board game place but you don't have to play it. They do charge a "play fee" if you want to play something. They have a good selection of games, but the quantity is very similar to the other board game cafes in KW.

Great game selection - asked for recommendations and they nailed it! 👌🏾 Super knowledgeable staff. Food was delicious. Served hot and no issues whatsoever with gluten free bread for the panini and grilled cheese. Would definitely return. One Ask: please add draft Cider to the menu!!

The food was incredible (I got the pulled pork grilled cheese and it was genuinely the best grilled cheese I've ever had), the servers were so nice and they have every game you could possibly think of. My friends and I had a great time and I would definitely recommend trying it out!

Went here for trivia night with friends! Super fun and staff was very friendly. Great selection of boardgames as well. Overall, just a really affordable and fun night out!

Went to play games, didn't expect the food to be so good. The Jalapeno poppers sandwich and the nacho dip were awesome. Many good drinks (both with and without alcohol), and of course a very wide selection of board games. The staff was very kind, and the service was great. Bonus points for keeping all these games clean and in good shape with so many people playing and eating at the same time.

This is a great place to come with friends! The food and drinks are great, and they have a huge selection of games. Lots of people were in there so the atmosphere was fun! The time limit is 3 hours and minimum spend is about 10$ per person (6$ for playing + 4$ for food/drink). Overall great value for money and would highly recommend!

First time here, really enjoyed it. Was there on a Saturday night, no issues reserving online and it wasn't too busy. Our server was very nice and knowledgeable. Had great suggestions for two player games! Flatbread pizza was delicious and cheap! Great affordable night out, we will be back!

My and my husband's favourite board game café. The owners, Sean and Janette, are great. They've taken the time to learn our names as we've gone many times over the years. Great atmosphere, good food, and a large selection of games. There's always a new game for us to try, and there's often something new on the menu to try too.

OMG OMG OMG! What a great place to spend a few hours with your friends. First of all, the pricing is very cheap (6$ per person for 3-4 hours) and the food/alcohol/coffee/desserts aren't pricey as well. Then the team is fantastic. They show a lot of enthusiasm and patience in explaining you the rules of the games especially if you are trying a new game. Shaun and Jeannette make sure that you have a wonderful experience. Very kind and very knowledgeable team. Finally, a great collection of games and overall, a highly recommended place.

Games on Tap is an absolute must in the KW region. Over 1000 games to choose from, great ambiance, fantastic food (the zucchini soup was 😍), excellent customer service! One of the employees even walked us through a couple of games to save us some time from reading the instructions. Great place! Highly recommended!

📞 Easy reservation. We called and were able to book a table for 6 people within seconds 🤩 Welcoming staff. Our server was helpful and helped us find card games 🍹 Delicious drinks ( we got the iced tea and it was amazing and affordable) 🧩 Lots of board game variety 💵 $6/7 (can’t remember but it was def worth the price) Overall, def go with your friends and family or even by yourself!!!

Wow! What a great place. The food was great and the ambiance is warm and comfortable. Knowledgeable staff were able to recommend great two player games. I would definitely recommend making a reservation but we were able to get a table before 6pm on a Saturday night. We will definitely be back.

Amazing collection of games, and the food and drinks are always top notch. And of course, service is fantastic. SO glad one of our favourite KW destinations is open again!!!

My family and friends have being frequenting this spot since the beginning and have always had an excellent time. The two owners are knowledgable and friendly and are able to recommend and explain new games to you based on ones that you already know. They offer a very welcoming atmosphere that appeals to friends, families and an interesting date spot. During the pandemic, their weekend game rentals offered a cheap and fun way to stay off screen while spending time with the people you care about. Now in stage 3, they maintained the same level of customer care with an emphasis on minimizing touch points for the different games. Looking forward to spending more time dining and gaming in!

Came here for a chill Friday date night, they have a HUGE selection of games! The people working here are also so kind to help you understand any game without having to read through instruction manuals. The menu has a good number of food options, we got the chai tea latte with the brownie cake (ok-ish tbh). Would come again for a fun night of bots games, signed up for a 45 min slot, and ended up going nearly 1.5hrs :)
