I really liked this dog park even though the day we went it was empty. It is a nice walk from the parking lot along the grand river to the fully fenced in area where you can decide between large or small dog enclosure. The only issue I had was with the google directions. Do not go to Bloomingdale like google tells you to. It leads to a private lane where I spoke to a lady who informed me that this happens all the time, but I was on the wrong side of the river. Check the directions for Kiwanis park, not the Kiwanis Dog park.

One of our favorite spots. Huge open area and a section of wooded area. There is a separate area for little dogs. It can get very hot in the summer with limited shade. Bring water for your dog and you.

The dog park is fine, it's some people who visit it who are idiots that make it NOT fine...."leave no trace" signs should be posted to remind lazy @ssholes to not just drop their garbage on the ground, where dogs can eat it and possibly get sick or die. Please, don't be an @sshole.

I just brought my puppy for the first time. I really appreciated that they had a separate area for small dogs because mine is still very timid a around other dogs. It was beautifully maintained, with a nice forest walk to get to it! All the other dog owners there while I was were extremely friendly and respectful.

Great park, admission keeps the place clean and pays for lifeguards. As always facilities were well kept. Can buy food at the location, lots of trees to set up under and picnic benches. Brought a little camping bbq for the morning swim and made a nice picnic out of it when we went

Great dog park with good access to waste disposal. Well maintained park with a large area for doggos to run. Field area could use more shade but there is a nice shaded path along one side of the park which helps. Separate area for smaller dogs which is a nice feature.

Well maintained. Lots of space to let the dogs run. Waste disposal units near the gate. They have a separate area for small dogs.

WOW! The walk there is long, however, it's a beautiful walk through tall trees and a wide clean path. The off leash itself is huge and has trees you can walk through on the one side. Poop bags and garbages are provided at the entrance of the fenced area. It has an interlock which goes to separate entrances to a small dog off leash and a large dog off leash. Definitely recommend. Will upload more photos next time!

I love this park. I think it's highly inappropriate to host a private training class here. It's very exclusive to the public. The dog park is an unstructured, unleashed and public space not meant to hold classes where other public dogs aren't supposed to interact with the private dogs. Doesn't make sense as a trainer to do this and makes others feel unwanted in a public area. It's inappropriate use of a public dog park and looks poorly on you as a trainer.

Rating of 4. Itโ€™s a dog park and all the kids on the playground donโ€™t always get along so set your expectations realistically. Nervous owners should not visit a dog park. That being said, itโ€™s very clean and 99% of the dogs are fun and the owners very friendly. Not recommended for small kids who are not used to dogs jumping up. This happens, itโ€™s a dog park. The walk in is great to de-energize the dogs. Highly recommend going.

This dog park is nicely maintained and has a great separate space for small dogs. Love the trees and shade available, as well as the paths through the treed areas.

Full marks for the experience once we arrived at the park. The initial transfer area inside the first gate leads to two more gates: one to the small dog (restricted to under 25 pounds) gated park; the other leads to the main (unrestricted) park. Both parks have a nice mixture of grass, bushes, and forest to wander or run through. The small dog park is only a quarter of the main park's size but it's plenty big enough for little legs. But I'm deducting 2 stars because the parks are 400 metres from the nearest parking spot. That's a considerable distance to travel - especially for the dogs with little legs as they end up having no energy left to appreciate the park upon arrival (at least, that was our experience with our small dog). Why on earth did the park planners feel they had to locate the dog parks so far away from there rest of Kiwanis Park?

Beautiful park with scenic trails to walk along. There's a small skating pond here too! The dog park is large and has plenty of space for dogs to run around in. The Grand River is close by too

Great spot to take your dog for a walk. It was very clean, and everyone in the park was friendly. My dog had a great time galloping around and meeting other dogs. I also enjoyed the walk, a great retreat within city limits.

If you have a friendly dog that needs some exercise and wants to socialize, this is a great place to come. There is a 400m walk into the park. Your pet must be spayed or neutered.

It's a bit of a walk to get into the dog park, but it's worth it. There is a small dog section and a large dog section, which is a bonus. Both sections have a bit of the forest included inside, so your doggos can feel like they are running free without getting lost. There is also a lovely trail around the left side of the large dog section that wraps all the way around the park areas! It's a great walk through the forest & it definitely helps tire out the dogs even more. There are also tables outside of the fenced in area, so you could even have a little picnic before heading in, or after coming out!

Hard to find, seemed like an industrial area rather than a dog park. Did not care for this dog park. Better signage would be helpful.

The place was lovely, but we had an encounter with wasps near the pine tree where we had left our belongings while playing with our dog. Retrieving our items from the tree was quite challenging. This incident occurred in the section of the park designated for small dogs. Please exercise caution and avoid approaching this particular tree.

I love this park. It's big, has shady areas for hot days and lots of open field for running. Make sure you search for Kiwanis pool for Google map directions because if you get directions to the actual dog park, it takes you to some random persons really long driveway and then you're lost trying to find a park entrance. They can also cool off in the grand river; water isn't too deep to stand in for medium/large dog breeds or you can have a picnic at the picnic tables.

This is the best dog park in K-W. There is an area specifically for small dogs. It is about a 400 meter walk in to the leash free area from the closest parking. The larger area of the dog park is relatively flat and we have had no issues when visiting with excessive mud, holes etc.

Great park, I've only been here a couple times. Although the park is very big and spacious, the couple times I've been here hasn't had to many people with their dogs. This could be both a good or bad thing. My dogs love playing with other dogs so they got bored faster than usual. I would however recommend to bring your dogs here to train just because again the couple times I've been here it has not been busy.

Best dog park in KW area. It will be a great improvement if the dog waist bins could be maintained also in winter months like in some other dog parks.

The signage could be improved. We had to ask several people for directions to the dog park itself. Lots of parking, and a beautiful setting. The enclosed dog park for 25 lbs and less was great and the 400 metre walk on the trails from the closest parking lot makes it a hidden treasure. Poo bags were available but bring your own water. There was 1 incident with a very aggressive dog and the owners removed the dog as soon as they were able. The playground at the west parking lot was fun for my 6 year old granddaughter.
