    Impressive building, spacious rooms, bathtub and a separate shower cabin and a perfect swedish table style breakfast. This is the place to spend the night in, but also enjoy every moment of the morning.

    We had a great time. The rooms are really good, the spa was great, the breakfast too. The localisation near Bruges and the free parking are perfect. The staff was at the top we spent a great weekend!

    We stopped here today to eat something small. We ordered the Pokebowl Duck. After 5min we received our foods before our drinks. Lately we tasted the pokebowl, but the rice wasn’t a good quality, no taste, and the combination wasn’t really tastefully. Luckily we hadn’t to pay this dishes. We orders instead Hot Tapas, that was a good quality

    The canceling of the EK Wakeboarding because of blue algae was already tough for us. We had no control over this; the ban was imposed by the government. But instead of showing understanding, Van der Valk seems to take advantage of our misfortune. We find it regrettable that they choose to charge us 100% for the rooms. It's truly incomprehensible that such a large hotel wouldn't make even a small commercial gesture. It's sad that a hotel like this acts this way. Wish I didn't have to give even one star.

    No AC! Room and shower is full of mold and hotel is unkempt. We (with a child of 2 years) were only able to fall asleep at 3-4 o'clock in the morning because we had to sleep with the balcony door open. All night long hearing the sound of cars driving by from the highway. A day later they offered us a fan as a solution after complaining, but still with the balcony door open. According to the hotel employees, only warm air comes out below 15 degrees (outside temperature) while we didn't even get warm air out. With the argument that everything, including electricity, has become expensive. Employees (technical service) enters the room without knocking! My wife in front of the mirror (at the room door) but luckily dressed in time. Breakfast okay but does not have taste, even the apple juice was not good according to my son. Totally not worthy of 4 stars and not Van der Valk quality that we are used to either. Almost a budget hotel. It wasn't a rest/good holiday for us.

    Noisy because the highway next door - noise that permeates the awesome terrace outside but amenities were really nice and the food, ambiance, parking, restaurant was awesome. The breakfast was not bad. A bit pricy but reasonable for the comfort. Warning, the service and decoration of the hotel is above par! Excellent service everywhere to say the least in my own humble opinion! Excellent beds and gorgeous bathrooms. And it looks like above par parking too.

    It's has been a while since we stayed but now getting up to date with reviews. It was an absolute pleasure to stay here. The room was great and the restaurant was even better. We had diner which was beautiful and the breakfast did not disappoint at all. Sorry for not being back but would highly recommend to anyone. Rest assured we will be back and try to keep insisting that we plan our stop return or journey outbound from the UK to stop here but not luck with the BOSS (Wife) yet. She did love it here and still tries to beat you but hasn't managed yet.

    We returned here after 15 years as we enjoyed it so much first time round It 15 years on and excels itself Beautiful massive hotel with ambience classic but very on trend decor The cleanliness is superb unbelievable really how exceptionally clean it is .Bedrooms are massive with such details Large tv King sized bed balcony .Safe and a fridge.plus coffee machine .Bathroom very impressive Modern shower walk in cubicle bath with built in head rest Free luxury wash products for all 3 ares in the bathroom, hand soap bath shampoo conditioner and also in the shower too Bedding excellent and towels are changed daily on request .The staff all immaculately dressed Most bilingual and so polite Bar area and dining ares superb very classy The gardened terrace well just stunning . An absolutely amazing hotel England please take a leaf out of this book !!Amazing value THANKYOU to all staff Jill Patience

    very nice hotel with fine service, close to the highway and oostkamp intersection, Brugge is only 6 km away, by bike or car. facilties for bike store and charging. good restaurant price €€€.

    We’ve been there for the atmosphere of the place and few drinks, we are not going to visit that place again and here’s why We can tell that drinks were expensive but the taste was also worth it, well prepared and nice serving, waiter and waiters were really nice, music was not for us but it wasn’t exhausting, place smelled nicely and also I mentioned the atmosphere and decorating, pretty as hell BUT… we not supporting yelling and screaming at stuff! we do not going to place where we experience violenting human rights, we saw that place is drastically understaffed and waiters and waitresses need more help to serve every customer af it should be on that kind of place, not be yelled at and not need to take care of really big plates as one person we do not recommend that place at all!!

    An amazing stay couldnt belive the price so cheap for what you get and the facilities location is just off the main road which once in there you wouldn't know.

    I would like to start by praising the staff! On all occasions whether at the reception /bar/restaurant we came across great professionals with kindness. Also, notice that I had the best negroni in my life at the bar. Breakfast was exuberant and of great quality. I cannot think of something that was missing. Clean and spacious, rooms and bathrooms. With amazing big beds for great sleep. Near Bruges city center, around 10-15 minutes by car. If you are around Bruges for business or leisure I highly recommend this place!

    Very nice hotel (Building) nice rooms (comfort room) conveniently located, but unfortunately a bit noisy due to the proximity to the motorway. In the evening on the terrace of the restaurant, the noise is disturbing. If you don't want to eat in the hotel restaurant and you don't value service, this hotel is a good starting point to explore the surroundings. The hotel staff is friendly, but unfortunately incompetent (kindly spoken). We wanted to book our hotel room through a booking platform, but on their website only rooms with single beds were available. So we called the hotel directly and asked if there was a room available with a double bed. We even asked again that we didn't want single beds pushed together but a double bed and otherwise we would book elsewhere. A comfort room with a double bed was available, so we booked it. When we arrived at the hotel, we were still given a room with single beds. When I asked, the lady at reception here answer was, that we should have asked for this beforehand? After I insisted that I had explicitly requested this when I made the booking…… Nevertheless, the receptionist was generous enough to comply with our request and we were allowed to change the room. We then got a nice room as booked. So I asked if we could possibly extend the room tomorrow for another day at the same rate, or if it would make a difference. The answer was, of course, no problem, no difference. We then wanted to book a massage, so as described in the hotel info, we asked again at the reception (this time via telephone), if any appointments would be available and if we could book two massages, she replied, that she will check and then get back to us….we are still waiting for the answer. For the evening, we had reserved a table in the restaurant. For starters, we chose the small César salad and the steak tartare. The steak tartare was one of the worst I have ever had. Especially the brioche bread was old and dry. The meat was poorly seasoned. The César salad was served with fish instead of chicken, the sauce tasted like nothing. Our main course, the small sole, on the other hand, was excellent. Only when I asked if the waiter could fillet them for us, he just shrugged. The next morning I wanted to book the room for another day, after the lady at the reception had consulted her colleague, this was possible, but not at the same price as promised but at an increased rate (50€ more expensive). We booked the room for another day anyway. When we returned to the hotel room from our visit to Bruges (very beautiful city, well worth a visit), we noticed that the two small water bottles (we use to make coffee with) had not been replaced. When I asked, as expected she answered ...they only give them on the first day?!? Van der Valk, usually always a good choice. Until now!!!

    Very good hotel. Maybe one of the greatest breakfast in a hotel. The only bad thing the window didn’t shut sealed and I could hear all de noise from outside. If I was literally pushing the frame it will stop the noise. But guess what ?I can’t sleep standing pushing the window.
