Just
stayed
at
this
park's
campground
just
this
past
weekend
and
here's
my
review...The
camp
sites
are
spacious
with
plenty
of
shade
from
the
tall
trees,
no
full
hookups,
only
water
and
electric,
but
our
site
was
just
a
few
steps
away
from
the
restrooms.
The
restrooms
are
dated,
but
they
were
fairly
clean.
We
stayed
at
sites
42
and
43,
there's
about
60
campsites
total.
The
park
itself
is
beautiful;
love
the
tall
pine
trees
and
other
vegetation.
The
wildlife
here
is
abundant.
You
are
most
likely
to
see
plenty
of
turtles
walking
around,
squirrels,
wild
turkeys,
deers,
and
if
you're
lucky,
a
bobcat
or
two.
The
spring
is
pretty
cool,
there's
a
big
open
area
like
a
big
natural
pool
and
the
water
pumps
out
of
a
deep
opening
(the
spring)
around
the
front
of
the
"pool".
The
water
is
cold
but
refreshing
if
it's
really
hot
out.
The
visibility
is
ok,
but
not
great..there's
a
lot
of
algae.
The
pool
itself
is
not
deep..an
average
of
about
4
ft.
The
river
that
connects
to
the
spring
continues
behind
the
pathway
that
crosses
over
the
spring
and
that
is
where
you
can
pick
up
kayaks/canoes/paddle
boards
after
renting
them
at
the
concession
store
located
by
the
parking
lot.
In
my
opinion,
the
areas
of
improvement
would
be
adding
more
activities,
maybe
more
animal
encounters,
etc.
The
entrance
to
the
park
is
also
a
BIG
issue.
If
it's
a
weekend,
you
have
to
arrive
before
the
park
opens
at
8AM,
or
you
may
be
waiting
outside
for
hours.
This
can
be
avoided
if
you
are
staying
at
the
campground
and
drive
to
the
spring
parking
lot
before
the
park
opens
(the
campground
and
spring
are
NOT
in
walking
distance
of
each
other).
Overall,
we
had
a
nice
experience,
and
I
definitely
recommend
visiting
this
park
at
least
once.
