$3.00 parking fee sold by machine per car. Trails combined easy, moderate, and difficult levels. You can choose the trail based on your own physical strength. Not very shady so it can be very hot for both humans and pets. Make sure to bring enough water with you. Views along the trails are generally nice.

Medium Sized Hiking Area (Dog Friendly) $3 Parking Hiked in November Biggest downside to this park is you have to pay $3 to park here. Parking is spacious at least when I went on a Tuesday. Terrain varies from relatively flat to pretty steep. However it does offer great overlooks. Plenty of places to rest or have a picnic Dog friendly hiking. There are several poo bag stations however not as many as some other parks. I suggest bringing your own. The people I met on the trail all seem to be friendly. Bicyclists and Horses are allowed on a good portion of the trails offered.

This is a great trail for all levels. It’s well maintained. $3 daily parking permit required. Restrooms at the trailhead. You can do hills or stay to the right after the lake and it’s all flat. Up to 6 miles out n back.

Nice loop around the lake. Trail is well maintained. Good entry spot to the rest of the canyon. When it’s green it’s real pretty. Noisy tho since it’s in the city but a nice walking area.

Loved this trail. Made me want to get back on a mountain bike, although, most patrons were walking, today. Amazing view, if you choose to climb to the highest point. There is a trail for pretty much every level here. Not a lot of shade, but there are a few resting places, benches, and some restrooms at one point of the trail.

Good ,easy to moderate trails. Hiking, cycling, horseback riding. Lushious vegetation. Great job bringing it back from the fire that scorched it. Amazing views and photo-ops.

Explore this 5.9 miles loop trail with 623 ft elevation gain near Villa Park. It's a moderate, challenging route with an average 2 hours and 20 minutes to complete. The trail is open year-round and dogs are welcome but must be on a leash.

A very nice hike :) There are parts of the hike that can get a little hot or sunny but the further you walk into the park, the more shade there will be. You'll be able to choose from several trails and the level of difficulty of your hike. I recommend taking the Peter's Canyon Trail if you want an easy and nice hike/trail.

Nice uncrowded park. You can hike along the hills crest or along the Canyon stream.

This is my favorite place to go for run or training for my spartan races.. Beautiful scenery while you go hiking or running here.. It is 6.2 mile loop and you might want to go back there again..

Overall we enjoy this park We noticed toxic Hemlock plants, on the Lake View Trail which leads off the main parking lot on Canyon View. It is a long section with 4 feet to 6 feet tall plants that have white flowers and green stems with reddish purple blotches. Please stay away from these plants. If ingested, it can be fatal. The park ranger said they are working on cutting them down.

Very nicely bushy. Super bloomed every where you look. Lots of snakes are out tho. So watch it.

I like this trailhead. Free to park there, and dogs are allowed, but its also deep in a neighborhood and out of the way. The open area is a nice meeting place for groups. Great place to do training hikes or trail runs. Beware of cyclists that go pretty fast on the main trail. The initial trail goes through about 100 yds. of a Riparian zone in the creek to either the north or south, but they both emerge on the main trail after a short stint in the creek bed. May be subject to flooding and mud if its wet out. Accesses the main Peter's Canyon Area to the North. Beware of snakes and possible mountain lions according to the poster. There are some great examples of birds and plants too though!

Love this trail! Been coming here for over a year. The different levels of trails for different fitness groups is really cool. I wish the bathrooms were cleaner but you can't have it all. Either way we are sticking to this trail for a while!

Good for hiking, not much trees or flowers just rock, dust and grass. It's a popular spot and there's a steep red hill if you want to try a challenge but the view is not great. There's also only 1 bathroom area near the parking. Overall okay if you are near the area but we wouldn't go out of the way for it.
