What a lovely experience! It was my first visit to the Oregon City Library! I had a LICC library from the Wilsonville Library but had lost it since I moved to Oregon City. The young woman at the Hello Desk, (I can't believe that I cannot remember her name!), was so very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable! She pointed out to me all the areas of the Library and all of the other special offers the Library has for my choosing. I found just the book I needed and also rented a DVD of a movie that I've been wanting to see for the past several months! I cannot wait to visit my new friends again!

I want to quote a review that written four years ago, as I couldn't agree more in regard to our experience... "I have been to toddler storytime at the Oregon city library 3 times. The space they have for it is great but I’m not thrilled with the actual storytime or the teacher, [redacted]...... Also I think maybe the teacher would work better with older more behaved children. I think it’s great to encourage children to sit and listen to a story but the reality is that they are toddlers. Toddlers are going to struggle with sitting still. They are going to shout at times, or run through the middle of the circle. After observing each of these three times, I get the impression that the teacher is frustrated with the children. It ends up feeling like a negative thing instead of a positive thing. I want my child to feel excited about storytime and learn to love to read."

Noisiest library probably in the country. Nobody here has consideration for people that want a quiet place to focus. Receptions speak to people at normal volume, have frequent phone calls, and have loud conversations with each other. People inside are no better and the staff does nothing to get them to lower their voices. I’m surprised they call this place a “library” I thought one of the selling points was it’s supposed to be quiet. Very poor experience here

Fantastic! 📚 😊 Also, I like the library, as it’s a great place for all those bookworms out there, too. 👍📚

I've come here multiple time a week for about 6 weeks now, and only today was I pushed out of the table I was sitting at for it being a "teens only" area, when I'm legit only 2 years older than a teenager. I was politely reading my book and a woman approached me, which has not once happened since I've been sitting in this same spot for weeks, and she told me I couldn't sit there because it's a "teens only section." And I was the ONLY ONE THERE. I felt like she was singling me out when there was no good reason to ask me to move seats, if there were a bunch of teens wanting to sit there, I'd understand enforcing the rules but I honestly don't see what the purpose of her having me leave was other than her not wanting someone to be able to watch her work in her little office? I felt honestly offended considering I was politely and quietly reading to myself. The PURPOSE of the library. I'd highly recommend letting this woman know that the rule doesn't have to be so strongly enforced when the person sitting there is hardly above a teenager's age, and no one else wanted to even sit there. She was a rude and very condescending woman.

Loved it here. So did my son. It's a very inviting place. Beyond checking out books, it's a cool place to find a comfy chair and read one. The outside area also has a swing set and slide. There is a splash pad available during the summer too. There is truly something for everybody. Recently, I went on a trip to this library with a family friend. She was blown away by this library. She said it was one of the nicest libraries she had ever seen.

I love this library. The staff is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. They're very welcoming. I love this location and I love the library. Their website is very simple and easy to use. You can place holds and get notifications when your holds are available. I'd recommend this location to others and recommend everyone to get a library card. They have books, movies, music and household items available to be rented. As I said before I love this library and I'll definitely be back soon!

I have patronized this library for years. It's an amalgamation of a classic Carnegie style library with a modern addition. It's situated in a beautiful park, in mid Town Oregon City. It's just a short walk away from historic sites, and has a wonderful collection of materials.

A lovely library. The offerings are diverse & expansive; Library of Things, video games, lots of movies, and books from all across the county. Friendly staff. Additionally, living within Clackamas County makes you eligible for memberships in libraries in Multnomah, Washington, and Hood River County Library Districts, Camas, or the Fort Vancouver Regional Library District. Or if you live in those areas you are elligible for membership for the Clackamas County library.
