Update: I have returned to partake in their fare. The food is still up to standards. They had some new salsa's to try. The owner was running front of house and said they've been there for 9 years now. We drove from Beaverton specifically for lunch. Someone seems to know what they're doing at Don Pepe's. They start you off with standard chips, beans and an excellent mild salsa. The chef decided to add some chorizo to the beans (yum) Then they bring you a sampler of 7 salsas of varying heat. I was obsessed with the white salsa (lime & heat). My wife and I ordered combo platters. They brought us a satisfying posole that reminded me of pho. There was meat in a well developed broth with fresh, crunchy vegetables. We both wanted enchiladas and they were well made with proper spicing, great cheese to sauce to filling ratios. I will be coming back for these. The other item on our combo plates were meat in sauce. My wife had the puerco en chile verde (pork in green sauce). I had the puerco en chile Colorado (pork in red sauce). What surprised me is that the pork was cooked perfectly to temp instead of boiled to falling apart. This made it tender and not fibrous. I am satisfied and I think all should partake.

Excellent flavors and Excellent service. Guac and different salsas we're supwr tasty , the pozole soup was super good. I recommend fajitas , and trio plate, red and green pork chunks with beef enchilada . So tasty !

Lots of different flavors and spicy salsa choices. Really great chips and salsa. Was a bit of a wait for food. Was told everything is made to order. Shrimp Ceviche was really good. A little expensive though.

Takeout dinner for three $63. Two of the orders were prepared incorrectly and could not be salvaged. The tacos at $8 a piece were underwhelming. The veggies were fresh but the chicken was bland. The $16 carne asada burrito was twice the amount of a chipotle burrito. In my opinion chipotle uses a higher quality meat. I would not recommend it. The taco salad was consumed. My son just said that it had no flavor. We ordered through their web site that uses DINDIN. This company adds a large percentage to the cost of your order. If you still want to eat here I would recommend calling your order in

I ordered a quesadilla over the phone and told 10 min. I go to pick it up 15 min later and I had to give the same server my order again. I was charged $15 when the menu said $12.50. I only have so much time on my break so that was frustrating. EDIT: I did get my food and there was a good portion and more than just a tortilla with cheese. I will go back but just maybe order in person and clarify on cost first

Excellent service. Friendly and attentive. The salsas were wonderful as described on the menu. Our dishes were beautiful, yummy and you could tell cooked to order. Margaritas very yummy. Nice cozy atmosphere.

The best Mexican in Oregon City, hands down! Delicious and hand crafted, everything is fresh. Small business at its best!

We stumbled upon this unassuming place while looking for a dog-friendly patio and are SO happy we did! I’m a vegetarian and at first glance of the menu I saw several options. I chose the burrito and it was incredibly fresh with avocado slices, crunchy lettuce, and a medley of other sautéed veggies. My husband had the steak fajitas, which came with homemade tortillas and get two thumbs up and a paw 🐾 (our pup had a bite and approved, too). The margaritas are beautiful, strong, and well-priced. But the best part hands-down was the service. The chef brought out a platter of the salsas they make in-house and described each to us — they were all amazing, my husband’s fav was the pickled habañero and mine was the verde! We sat at one of the two tables outside and Carla was so kind and attentive to our dog Sandwich. She also overheard that it was my birthday and brought us a plate of freshly baked cinnamon churros at the end of our meal. Thank you, Don Pepe’s — we will be back again soon!

Came for some dinner before Rocky Smith's Haunted Christmas Walking tour. Great food, great service. The restroom was stocked and clean. The servers were friendly and knowledgeable. I would definitely come again.

This place is absolutely stellar, the food is amazing (I had the mole), and the selection of salsas is absolutely insane, they are all so good and *distinct* from one another which you barely ever see. Which is to say nothing about the incredibly charming owner who is a level of stoked and welcoming that is rare to see in a restaurantur. Apparently his son owns a burger place in Portland (Pah?) And we are planing on checking that out too.

The food here is absolutely delicious! So fresh and tasty, I’m so excited we finally made some time to eat here. The staff was super friendly and accommodating, and the cocktail I ordered (smoky basil mezcal) was one of the best I’ve had in years! We will absolutely be back!

Today, we came in for a carry out order and had the most pleasant experience! It was our first time and we were greeted right away, our order was taken, we were served the most delicious chips, salsa & bean dip while we waited. Amazing customer service, food was fresh and delicious. Thanks for the wonderful experience, we will be visiting again soon!

Awesome experience! Our server brought out several salsas to try, all were incredible! The food was delicious. Chili Relleno, enchilada and chicken chimi are worth ordering again and again.

The food here is amazing, fresh and flavorful. They are very proud of their multiple salsas. The staff is wonderful. I had the ceviche, which was obviously fresh and freshly made. The servings are huge and I took at least half of my dish home. My only wish is that they had small plate options. I just don't eat that much and I like something small for lunch. Everything is a large meal with plenty to take home. I would really like to be able to order just a few tacos, a small burrito bowl, or a smaller bowl of ceviche.

Don Pepe’s is quickly becoming my new favorite restaurant in Oregon City. This is my second time going, Mar has excellent customer service and is so friendly when taking orders. Their frozen margs are the best! I also saw the owners handle a rude entitled customer in a professional way while still providing great service. I will definitely be coming back!
