Clean and well maintained. Friendly staff. Beautiful park. You can hear the gun shots from the shooting range throughout the park. The grills are close to the beach.

Mid June 2022, beach was awful. It’s not sand, it’s dirt/mud and full of huge rocks that hurt the feet. I realize not all lakes have sandy beaches, but we didn’t expect mud either. Only stayed about 15 minutes and left feeling gross. *Update* Thanks for your reply, I actually meant to include “I’m not sure if the beach is under construction”. So I’m very glad to hear that is not normal, and we’ll give it another try. (Updated stars from 1 - 3, and hopefully more next time we go.)

Family place, nice area to have a good time with your friends also, a good swim, a tasty Bar-B-Q, a run and basically just to enjoy a good day. however still don't know about the lake if is it muddy or sandy. but from my first point of view i recommend it.

This place is very lovely and a nice relaxing hike. Saw tons of Gartner snakes! And some beautiful wild blooms.

This review is for the disc golf course. 13 holes with both pro and amateur tees. Really well maintained course. Great signs. Lots of features. Well maintained trails and holes. Can't recommend enough.

My nephew had his birthday party planned today at Bald Mountain. Given mother nature, it decided that it was going to rain all day. My niece gave my nephew a choice, and he chose to try to stick it out and still head to the beach for some fun. It rained in the beginning but ended up being a warm, humid day. We typically go here every year for the kids' birthdays and have to fight to get a table because it is so populated. Due to the rain, it was our family along with 2 other families. I have never seen this beach so empty. The perks ended up being we really had the whole beach to ourselves for quite a while but unfortunately the downside is that the enflatable course on the water was not in service even though the weather held off and skies were clear. Assuming that staff was originally told not to report to work due to the rain, I can not hold that against them.

Such a beautiful park. The leaves are starting to change and wildlife is slowly disappearing due to the cold but the hike was amazing. Sat around this body of water for hours and swung in a hammock. Such a refreshing feeling, view & experience

Having been in Lake Orion my whole life, it's nice to see people using this beach area. Seems with the addition of the Water Warrior Island it has really rejuvenated the interest. Lots of DNR officers, feels safe for families and kids. My only complaint is some distasteful music with F- Bombs from some patrons. I love music, all music, hip hop, etc.. But realize your at a public place with kids. We were there for a 9 year old birthday party and could consistently here F-Bomb after F-Bomb from some neighboring people.

First time going in a long time. Squirrel hunting. The Maps could be better. Difficult to figure out where to hunt compared to where everyone else is. Picnicking disc golf etc..

Bald Mountain in Michigan is a great location for nature enthusiasts. The scenic trails and picturesque views make it a delightful destination for hiking and nature walks. The well-maintained paths and variety of difficulty levels cater to both beginners and experienced hikers. The lush greenery, especially during the warmer months, adds to the beauty of the area. Moreover, the park offers several recreational activities, such as fishing and picnicking, making it an excellent spot for a family outing. However, during peak times, the park can get crowded, which might reduce the overall experience. Nevertheless, Bald Mountain's serene ambiance and abundant wildlife make it a worthwhile place to explore and reconnect with nature.

We had a lovely 4 mile hike through the forest. There were lots of beautiful trees with colorful foliage, as well as rocks and streams.

The beach area is nice. The gun range must be very close though, constant gunshots in the background.

Want to shoot at a nice range? Enough said. Get there and do it! Need help? ASK! Range Masters don't just count the time till change over...they will offer advice and help you with your issues if asked. Like having a buddy with you at range!

Went for a sponsored clay shoot. Had not shot a gun in 45 years. Had a great time! We used the 14 station area. The clay targets came from all different ways. Missed the first few and got better as we went along. Can't wait for next year!!

A little slow to get here because I think you have to take a dirt road anyway, you arrive. Adam, The Park ranger is very kind. Wonderful swimming and water park.

It's a cute little park that is actually attattched to my neighborhood. The beach is dirty with seaweed and duck poop and the water warrior island is wayyyy overpriced but since that's a seperate business I won't count that in my review. It has wonderful trails to go into with miles and miles to walk. They have grills and tons of picnic areas. A boat launch. It's a really cool place 😎

Beautiful park with a nice lake, plenty of picnic accomodations, an amazing inflatables park and three awesome slides. The extras are a little pricey and the concessions/restroom facilities leave a lot to be desired, but overall a fun place to take the family.

The family had an amazing time there this past weekend. There are plenty of available tables and grills. And tons a space for the kids to play without interfering with other people. The blow-up water slide and stuff is awesome for the kids

My family has been going here for years. We love how spaced out the picnic areas are. Bringing our kayaks out on the lake is our fave. The lake water can be murky at times but on hot days it’s worth a dip. Bring a float to sunbath on the water.

I love this place it is the best beach. my mom and I come here for my birthday party's and also come to just have fun. they have a water Warrior course and fun hiking trails and a slike and slide water slide that shouts you right in to the water. I love this beach I have been going there for 9+ years I highly recommend going to this beach to get a great experience 🥰🥰😍😍😘😘
