Heavenly place to visit. Very limited amount of tourists visit the Fort site. You need to climb lot of stairs for the Fort. There is nice Jain temple, chamunda mata temple and lot other places to visit. Natural beauty of the Fort is still intact. Fort has great historical value. Must visit place.

A good place to view the scenic beauty around achalgarh. Only ruins of fort are visible here and there, one old temple of goddess Kali is inside the fort and view from here is breathtaking. Few hundred metres from temple a cave of goddess Kali is also a must visit place views from here also spectacular.

No fort here. Just 2-3 temples on a hill. There might have been fort earlier but now it's all under renovation and you can barely call it a fort. You can skip this place, nothing extra ordinary. Some decent views from top but not too impressive overall. Everybody I met on the way were kind of regretting coming here.

Nice and Lovely view from the top of the fort. There is a temple that located on the top of the mountain which is made by marble. The design and architech of the temple is outstanding. Since photography is not allowded here, you cannot click pictures inside of the temple.

giving stars overall not for derasar.. because Jain temple is beautiful. unfortunately there is no fort, from parking to Jain temple they charged 300rs per Jeep pick up- drop service, but if people can walk it's not difficult. Need to maintain the road from Jain temple to chamunda temple

Situated at a distance of 11 km from Mount Abu, Achalagarh Fort was built under the reign of the Paramara dynasty. Later it was renovated by Maharana Kumbha in 1452 CE. The fort was made with the purpose to keep an eye on enemy movements. There is a famous Shiv temple, Achaleshwar Mahadev Temple and Mandakini Lake within the complex of fort. In the center of Achaleshwar Mahadev there is a sculptured image of Nandi (the white bull on which Lord Shiva rides) which is made of 5 meats (bronze, gold, zinc, copper & brass).

(Translated by Google) Achalgarh Fort and Temple - This fort and temple is located 4 kilometers northeast of the Dilwara Temples. Achalgarh Fort was built by King Rana Kumbh of Mewar on top of a hill. At the bottom of the hill is the 15th century Achaleshwar temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is said that there are footprints of Lord Shiva here. There are also Kashinath Jain temples built in the 16th century.

Good view. But keep in mind that you have to go their via jeep or two wheeler who will charge you and then you have to climb around 200 stairs and 150m of hill to get that view but it’s worth if you want to walk that much.

We visited the Achleshwar Mahadev temple. ( Historical place). It is reachable by vehicle and nearby the parking. The market is small, but reasonable (must bargain to get the proper cost). Other information: We didn't visit the fort and other places Tourists vehicles are not allowed to go to fort Local guides provide the service to go near fort and information in 600 rupees for a group of six to seven persons

You need to park your personal vehicle at the parking lot that will cost you 50 bucks. Then you need to take Thar or Gipsy to reach at the starting point of the fort stairs that will cost you 200 bucks ( pickup + drop included ). And now the most important task will start i.e. climbing stairs ( recommended to carry water bottle + you will also get some stalls in b/w who will sale lemon water at 20-30 bucks ) . . In the middle of tracking you will get a very old Jain temple ( clicking picture is not allowed but the main temple is really beautiful ) . . Now after continuing the tracking at the top you will get 2 ways ( at the left you will find Chamunda mata temple and on the right you need to do some extra tracking and there is one cave of kali mata, believe me you will feel the positive vibes here ) This place has a very beautiful scenic view. I recommend to only visit during rain or winter sessions. . . There is only one disappointment, there is not a single sign of fort there. It's completely demolished. . . At the bottom where you have parked your car there is achaleshwar Mahadev temple, don't forget to visit it.

Achalgarh Fort is at a height of 1.5 km from parking zone. One can hair jeep to reach the fort gate. From there you have to take 150 to 200 steps to visit the Achalgarh Jain Temple and Chamunda Mata Temple. At Jain temple there are 14 Idols made of pure gold. Worth visiting this place as the view is awesome. Also temple of Achalaswar Mahadev is there where thumb print of Mahadev is visible.

The fort is at the peak and on the way you'll Gina couple of temples. They're all worth visiting. You'll have to walk quite a lot so before you visit this place be prepared to walk a lot of stairs and carry water bottles. The view from the top is breathtaking and the fort or the it's peak is not easy to climb on to

It's a jain temple, built on a fort. Avoid cars, bikes can go all the way to the top. There's a cave on the top with a 7 feet idol of the Hindu goddess Kali & a lake too, but it's a bit of a climb. The top view is mesmerizing.

Place doesn't have remains of fort ..fort is gone..but there are two temples, One is jain and another is Chamunda mata temple..but trek to the top is worth when reach the top and stand on a rock to feel the breeze and warmth of the sun at the same time ..360 view is awesome

  • 3/5 100rab b. 3 years ago on Google
The fort is not a fort at all , it's just a room which is in bad condition, usually torn off . But the scenic view from the topmost place is amazing. Your all trekking to high point will become worthy. Mata Mandir , Jain Mandir and achleshwar mahadev are some places there .

Too much to climb... ₹300 for jeep to fort and then 400 stairs... Plus very little done to save the fort or make it an attraction. Also child labour issue on the way.Could have been better or the management can do much more.

Nice place to visit as sight seeing if you plan your holidays for Mount Abu, Rajasthan. This place is famous among JAIN community as one can visit a beautiful , serene temple surrounded by picturesque hills. Jain's can also stay there with dining facilities. One can also visit Mahadevji temple. Nice place for antique items & MOJRI ( traditional shoes ) shopping along. We enjoyed having freshly prepared sugarcane juice with ginger lemon flavour. One can go for a small track to pond & other Hindu temples near Jain temple.

This place is a case of the journey being better than the destination. Its a steep steep climb to basically see ruins. The real rewards are views of the temple complex right from the top. Take your time here and I suggest to go above the temples to the final set of ruins. The views are totally worth it.

Too too mamy stairs to climb the fort. But worth it when you reach the top. The view towards guru shikhar is mesmerizing. You can plan for sunset or sunrise here. This fort was built in the 10th - 13th century but hasn't been renovated since. It has the Chamunda Mata Mandir and a beautiful Jain Temple. You have to take jeep from the parking which costs 300 INR and then you have to take approx. 200 steps to get to the top. Food and shelter are also provided in the Jain temple. Views from the top are especially good in monsoon. Otherwise nothing too extra ordinary.

If you expect fort at Achalgarh fort site then you will be disappointed because no sign of fort is there only one ruined small room is present without proper path. If you love tracking you can go. You have to first walk through ramp then have to climb (too much) lots of stairs steps then have to walk through rocks to reach ruined room. But you will get nice scenery from top of rocks and will find small temples one in small cave is also there.

There is not much to see here. There is no entry fees. At the top, there is a temple that you can visit. On the way, there is a Jain temple. You can go till the entrance of the fort either by walking or by a jeep. The jeep will cost you Rs. 300.

Established by Maharana Kumbha of Mewar, this fort has a mesmerizing view of Mount Abu. It sets the perfect picturesque view from the top. Chamunda Mata Temple on the hill top offers a phenomenal view. The temple is so calm and composed that we feel like we are not getting away from the place. It felt amazing to be there. There was a lady who was selling home made ice cream (Matka Kulfi) there, the ice cream tasted awesome. It is a must try, though it is just a small table she has her stall upon but offers a great quality. It is right beside the Brahmakumari Aakashwani Kendra's entry on the hill side. There are monkeys on the top, be careful, they can snatch your belongings. Overall the view was great, it is almost the center hill of Mount Abu range thus offering a perfect view of Guru Shikhar and other surrounding hills. I would like to visit this place over and over again...

Achalgarh fort is very old place and historical places of Rajasthan. In Rajasthan it's located in mount abu. You can visit it's on weekdays. Best time to visit if you avoid heavy crowd then I prefer Monday to Friday. If you once reach mount abu then from here you can easily rent car 🚘. You can go Achalgarh with sharing car or book person car. Sharing car price per person 100-150 & person car 1500-2000 depends upon bargain.

Well, there on parking few kids or people will ask you for guide and share you visit of fort. Well fort is complete ruined and there is pond and remaining rooms. I suggest not take any guide. They will just waste your money. If you interested in heritage and old ruins and photography you can pay visit here. Baki to guide to guide story always change. No charge for any visit

Did not find any remainings of the fort at the top. However, you can go if you like trekking and want to take a view from the top. Yes, the view is good but not as good as Trever Tank and Guru Shikhar.

Ford is completely ruined. You will find one Jain temple after climbing up 200 to 250 steps. Very nice temple. One more Chamunda ma temple is there as well after climbing up few more steps after Jain temple. You cannot take your own vehicle, you need to go by Jeep. You will find peace and inner pleasure at Mahadev Shiv temple. Prayer is made to Lord Shiv right toe.

  • 4/5 Ganesh M. 6 months ago on Google
Great place to warship Mahadhidev Shiva, where prayer is made to his right toe. The Nadi made of Ashtdhatu and has stories about its might, is well face to Lord Shiva. Fort situated at Peak of adjoining hill, is in damaged condition and difficult to reach.

  • 4/5 Tushar Kanti P. 11 months ago on Google
The Achalgarh first is not there any more. At one side you find the main gate which still stands tall and then if you go on top of the mountain you can see the ruins at some places mainly the fort walls. On the other side, you can find the dried up pond, 3 cattle sculpted using stones still standing there near the pond and nearby on the hill top a tiny part of the fort, may be a guard house or something like that still there.
