Been a member for 3 years. It only has been getting worse. Sauna is broken most days and takes them weeks to fix it. Most of the water fountains filters are overdo for a change (flashing red) The pool is visibly dirty and disgusting to swim in. Locker rooms are dirty. Towels everywhere. Not to mention I have found human feces in the shower. An absolute abomination. Flag pole in the front has been missing a USA flag for months. It’s obvious the general manager does not care about this establishment.

Gym has fallen on hard times. I hate saying this because unfortunately it’s the best gym in the area. It’s dirty and people from out east are over running the facility. Sauna AND hot tubs are never working. Groups gather and yell. Bathroom pluming reeks. Floor is filthy. Nobody cares. Rates are getting jacked up as a deterrent but it’s not working. Best gym in the area sadly

Was a member at this location for several years up until a couple of years ago. I recently looked into getting my membership back until i seen what the price of memberships are today. Is this a joke? All these years and through covid i was paying $80 a month and the gym was open for 24hrs and now the price of membership has damn near doubled and they are no longer open 24hrs. What a shame.

The monthly membership fee constantly goes up. I needed to put my account on a hold for a month due to surgery and was told I needed to notify a month in advance! Since when do we know a month ahead of time for emergencies! Also if you want to cancel your membership it also will not cancel immediately, your cancellation will not take effect for one month or one billing cycle. I've been with them for 13 years and their rules are becoming ridiculous! Maybe it's time to find a new club without so many hidden rules.

I have been a member here for about a year. Over the last 6 months they have been having issues with the sauna. They replaced the heaters and now it’s even worse. Most days (early am) the sauna is 150 or less. Industry standard is 180. Many people are upset about this. I have reached out to the manager twice and he has not returned my call/email. I have called corporate twice for same issue with no response. My wife and I pay $260 a month to be members here. That’s a lot of money for a facility that isn’t up to expectations. It’s pretty clear that lifetime does not care if the Orland facility is up to standards or how their members feel about it. Save your money and go elsewhere, we have cancelled our membership due to lack of response and concern. There’s better options for much less money at this point. For some reason this facility is the step child to lifetime. Other locations are much better and more well equipped.

This place is a great example of corporate USA taking advantage of the consumer. They continue to raise prices by 15% yearly and reduce their cost by bringing in used equipment, reducing staffing that we pay for to offer amenities such as childcare, family swimming time and staff to clean after the filth that unethical members leave. Nothing in this gym is improving, only depreciating. The atmosphere was one of motivation, but now is like the night of the living dead with the amount of elderly folks that sit on equipment for 30 minutes thanks to the silver sneaker club. Save your money.

not friendly workers, without memberships, refused to let in at one time, even for money, and all the time they were trying to cram their own memberships. terribly not nice.

Worst customer service at any gym I have been to. Jaber tried to scam me and my brother for $72. Extremely rude as well. Saw we were younger, and tried to take advantage of us. Called someone else a few hours later and everything was resolved.

Facility is dirty needs a top to bottom cleaning. None of the employees enforce the rules in the Hot tub. Children in diapers and a bit older are allowed into the hot tub and no one cares. Even when you bring things to their attention no one cares. Rates have increased with zero improvements. Now charging by the half hour for pickleball. When is it going to end ? Tried talking to the front desk person at the club, totaly did not care very rude and not customer focused. The next fun started when I got online to ask in the chat box. The guy I chatted with was just as rude and uncaring as club employee. This place is not worth $100 a month. Looking for a new club.

They should definitely crack down on people not wearing masks and have more trash bins and sanitizer around the machines to help clean them. I also do not believe that the temperature gauges when you first walk in are that accurate. Just my opinion. Other than that Lifetime is great.

Oh my God. What a dump. Came here on a guest pass, usually go to Burr ridge location. Would’ve been better off if they did not let me in. Smells like a mold infested locker room. This is a gym you get your stuff stolen if you leave it out. Not surprised a member stabbed his girlfriend in the parking lot here.

Their fees are obscenely high even for someone like me with 15 years membership , but they don’t have money for towels anymore. Everybody sweats on machines. They claim is shortage. Ok , shortage , but paper towels could be available. Is disgusting to see everybody dripping stinky sweat on the equipment.

Staff and members that I interacted with are friendly. With that said, the facility is undoubtedly the worst maintained one I’ve been to. The showers smell horrid. It’s a mixture of sewage and really smelly well water. The floors from the locker room out to the pool are covered with brown tracks. The wood in the sauna is splitting. There is gum stuck on the wall in the sauna near the heaters. The basketball courts are covered in dirt, floor is slippery and there are a lot of leaves near the door leading to outside. There are only 2 blow dryers in the locker room. This is a huge disappointment. In dire need of a nice clean gym in Orland or nearby because this is not going to work out for me.

Every time I’m there, restrooms are filthy, all of them. My husband says the same thing about men restrooms. Many exercise machines are not fully functional (for example some touch buttons are not working). On one occasion I couldn’t find a fresh towel. I will be checking the restroom cleanliness and report here monthly. Outdated.

got kicked out because I didn't have the Covid vaccine. they threatened to call the police and everything because I refused to wear a mask in the hallway. yes. the hallway. didn't need one in the workout area where everybody is breathing heavy. but the hallway as I was walking in. what a joke. can I sue for medical discrimination?

Showers are gross they need to be cleaned more. Romeoville showers are much cleaner. The overall service and attitude of members and employees is much better there as well. OP doesnt feel like a $100 a month club

Given current circumstances the club was not near as busy as it would normally be. Members and staff were wearing masks or some type of face covering and hand sanitizer was readily available. It felt good to workout with my son again.

I’ve been a member here for many many years. Prices just keep rising and rising. Lifetime would take in many people that sometimes would cause trouble on the property especially near the basketball courts which made the place feel unsafe. The place is clean but not as clean as you would expect for the price you pay. This place should be a $50-$60 a month max membership not the over $70 it has now become. Staff is nice and can not complain about them but the whole place feels like they are always trying to sell you over priced things. No great value in the foods and services they offer you. The one in burr ridge is really nice but memberships over there are even more. This place should grand father older members in more especially ones that do not use the facility every day like others. Not everyone uses all the services the gym provides. I mainly use the steam room, sauna, hot tubs, and pools. Paying what I pay to use those amenities and as sparingly as I do is allot. Just wish the prices would come down to be more of a great bang for your buck because as of now they are getting more out of me than I am from them. You also can not straight cancel. You get charged the following months fee. The pools, steam room, sauna, hot tubs, locker rooms, and showers need updating. Where is all the money going?

Yeah it’s got it’s flaws it’s a gym with stereotypical gym buffs doing what they do. Regardless of that, I’ve been living out of state 4 years now and I can finally get my membership back. By far my favorite gym.. it’s much more than exercise. I find it a new hobby to swim or just at least enjoy the steam room while you watch Marcus Theater’s looking like a Kmart’s parking lot that closed in the 90s. Usually A consistent crowd you’ll be able to tell when the main workout times are for most people.

Visited today from out of town while waiting for my car to get repaired. This Life Time is exactly like the one in Flower Mound, Texas except everything's backwards. Love the indoor and outdoor pools, whirlpool, steam, clean locker room, towel service. Had a yummy sandwich at the cafe. Friendly people. Definitely recommend this place.

I love this gym and given the circumstances with everything going on I'm really impressed with how they're handling it. Employees have been wearing masks and they are enforcing gym members to wear a mask to and from workout stations which I think helps. The only problem I have is that for the price they charge they really dont offer enough PM classes. On Thursdays and Fridays the latest classes are around 4:30 pm and on weekends they only offer AM classes. I just don't know if it's worth the money when you work a 9-5 job during the week and have stuff to do weekend mornings. I hope they open up more PM classes soon.

As a new mom with a 6 month old who has really missed going to the gym, I couldn’t say enough good things about this one. The child care staff is outstanding... every single one! You can tell they must be picky with who they hire because they are great young adults who are awesome with the kids and keep up with them. They are always friendly and make me feel comfortable putting my child in their hands! This gym is definitely worth the price you pay for the membership. There is so much you can do with their outdoor swim area for the kids to a whole spa! The staff is incredibly always on top of things with cleanliness. The managers are super friendly as well. Signing up was easy with Angelica she showed me everything and was eager to answer any questions I had. I would definitely call and ask for her if you’re thinking about joining this gym. She was professional, kind and in my opinion lifetime is lucky to have her as an employee. I want to thank lifetime fitness in Orland 100x for allowing me to get my health back on track with having a newborn. You guys make everyone feel so welcomed there for all ages and give me a comfortable environment to workout in that I’ve never found at any other gym I have been to. The amenities you offer are outstanding and I was so impressed by all of your staff. Keep up the great work.

Nice and clean fitness center. Besides the finesse machines they have free weights here as well. All of the equipment is in abundance. There is no need to worry about a chance to use the type of equipment that you want!! I recently joined and today was my first visit! It is officially on!!

My son had a three hour birthday party there and he had a blast. His host Megan was so nice and helpful along with the other host. The boys really enjoyed swimming in the pool and playing basketball on the full court. My son bragged about it being his best birthday party.

Working out at lifetime is great , this gym has everything I need to keep my body healthy and feeling good. The gym is really clean , all their workout equipment has been updated , and the staff is always greeting you with a welcome and a smile, hours are from 4am-12pm so workout times are very flexible. If you are interested in possibly going and touring the gym , Angelika is a great representative who is very accommodating and always has the customers best interest in mind.

Disrespectful employees they yelled at you and make fun the way you express your words. They don’t care about customers right and disrespect them in all means! Trying to get a guest pass from it showing on our phone and them not allowing us to get in and yelling and screaming making us think that we are stupid and don’t understand lifetimes rule. I have been with lifetime since 2015 and they disrespect in this way very shameful!

Been a long time member but amenities have been scaled down over time (limited availability of water slides, rock wall, etc) and kids don’t like going there anymore as child center is usually half open due to a staffing problem. Good equipment and polite people. My kids learned how to swim here and the instructors were awesome. As the kids got older they didn’t want to go so I scaled down my membership to myself. I now cancelled and am going to my Park District to work out. Less crowded and less expensive. Less amenities but I don’t mind.

I signed my family up a couple weeks ago. We love it so far! I love the variety of classes and that there are so many amenities. I love taking my son to the pool. My mom and I recently had a massage at the spa and it was literally the best massage we've ever had. My son loves his "gym school" and the cafe. The staff is always so friendly. This has been a good move for my family!

Tried setting up a birthday party for my son. Spoke to the coordinator, went over all details regarding the party. While on the call noted needing only to confirm length of party but asked to specific time/date and offered to put down a deposit to hold. Coordinator said we were all set, called back to ask a question a few days later and learned they had not held the party, and had already rebooked it. Can’t believe it.

This gym sees heavy usage and it shows. I think for the volume of people there it’s doing well. It’s an older life time gym layout which is preferable since the free weight area and the machines area is larger and it has an outdoor pool area as well. The water fountain filters need to be replaced more consistently, all are red. The toilet areas smell bad most of the time, I think given how much more usage they get, they need multiple time a day cleanings which isn’t happening. They have to get more strict on allowing people bringing bags upstairs, it’s like a minefield with all the high school kids backpacks as well as gym bags full of who knows what camped out by the machines and some free weight areas. Otherwise, for a very highly used gym, they’re doing quite well!

Joined the Club about a month ago and am very pleased with my experience so far! Staff is great and never have an issue with gaining access to equipment. Also, I would like to shoutout Lourdes for a great haircut at the LifeSpa. Only complaint would be the smell coming up from the drains in the shower area, deodorizers might be helpful. Overall, great place and would recommend!
